it pours here On Tuesday evening Austin went into gut stasis - luckily Kim and Jon was visiting so Jon was landed with the role of childminder and Kim and I rushed Austin to the vet. Thankfully he seems to be doing well, started to poop at midnight last night and eating unaided. Hopefully he'll be able to return to The Hairy Mob in a few days time. In the meantime I'm still injecting metaclop and administering fibreplex. Yesterday evening I found Norman lying twisted, The Hairy Mob were acting very strange and I couldn't get them into the shed. I took Norman straight to the vet who seems to think he is suffering from neurological problems relating to a possible previous bout of EC. He's been given a steroid injection which has magically restored him upright, his appetite has bounced back but he could have another wobble at any given time. I'm bricking it. I have a steroid injection to administer should he go down again. I'm to keep a close eye on his water intake and an even closer eye on the volume of wee he produces. On top of that, Imogen is having problems at school with her teacher. It's all go here

Thanks guys. I'm pleased to say Austin is coming good, I'm due to give him his last Metaclop injection tonight, he's eating unaided and munching hay. All being well, he can return to The Hairy Mob on Sunday. Norman isn't fairing too good. Although he's eating I discovered this morning he has a wet bum which smells of stale wee The last hour he's gone very quiet, the steroid syringe is ready and waiting. I'm going to see the teacher after school today, she cancelled my appointment scheduled for yesterday. I'm armed and ready for battle. Laura - the same thing is happening to Imogen. She didn't tell me, 3 mums, on separate occasions asked me how Imogen was as their kids had told them

Austin is looking right miserable, think he's more than ready to return to The Hairy Mob.
Norman has had his bum washed and blow dried and is presently stretching his legs in the bathroom.
Teacher apologised profusely when I confronted her yesterday. My task this week is to boost Imogen's confidence in the hope she'll be ready and willing to return to school after the half term break.

Thanks Kim. Yes, Norm is upright, hasn't moved about too much but has managed a bowl of pellets
