Though there are nearly as many currencies through the world and nearby space as there are nations, only a small handful are widely used and near-universally accepted. The typical "big four" consist of the Heinribain Aerisa, Djorrah Wun, Minshua Toled, and Federation of Likeminded Nations of Central Yeziktra Yezik, and are accepted at virtually every international point of intersection. Indeed, many spacesports have traditionally listed fares and prices of goods in all four of these currencies.

In more recent times a fifth currency has joined the ranks of exchange at spaceports, that is the space Ores promoted by Birman Mining Incorporated. Due to the fact that most space trades and exchanges were made in raw goods, Birman Mining has since taken it upon itself to create a currency for use within their own extensive complex, as well as for exchange with other nations.

For approximate conversions between currencies, a chart is provoided below. One Yezik is of a comparable value to one US$.

Of course, exact rates will fluctuate, and if one is far from home and desperate for money they run the risk of being taken advantage of by a sly trader. Also, while the exchange rate of Ores is mostly fixed by Birman within their own complex and on Earth and Djorrah, in farther reaches of space other currencies frequently rapidly devalue in favor of the more goods-oriented trading system.

The facts have been checked. (One of these days, this job will actually be a challenge.)
