Project on Haiatus |

Just to clear a few things up, for the guests I see here every so often:
The project is on haiatus.
Basically, I was going to make this project in 2D, but then I decided, what the hell, why not make it 3D? So that's what I'm doing. BUT, I have to learn 3D math, how OpenGL works, and a bunch of other stuff. So yeah. Expect me to get back on track in a month or two from now. |

Wellll... I've been mulling it over, and thinking about it... and I realized that it might be better if I just went with full-out 3D. Doing the 2D gave me the experience neccesary to get started with OpenGL... but I want more... so... Im'a put it to vote... Which one do you think I should go with? |

Eriond has decided that after the 2D version is complete, work'll commence on a 3D version, before it starts to branch out to multiplayer (if it ever gets that far).
So yes! ERIOND HAS SPOKEN.
Of course, it's all up for debate... |

It's the weekend. So that means, I can work on this late at night 
So. This weekend, I want to do two things:
Finish Integrating the OpenGL (Making everything working again, but much faster) Creating a Particle System (Making everything look much cooler )
So yeah. Hopefully I'll get this done by Monday  |

Okay, I'm going to be switching the game's API from SDL (which is waaay less complex) to OpenGL (which is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more powerful). So this basically means that for those of you doing ships/other sprites that rotate, you won't have to get 36 images going, I should be able to rotate it with one image (at least, I hope so). So yeah. It shouldn't take too long to change everything to OpenGL, I've got most of my code wrapped up in a layer, so I'll only have to change a few core functions, and bug fix a bunch of stuff, and it all should be ready to go.
So hopefully, yeah. Things'll get a big speed boost. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to learn how to actually use my libpng. So yeah. Hopefully, I'll have it done by the end of two weeks, at the latest. |

Well, it seems to me I promised everyone a demo by now. Like all projects, it's not ready. HOWEVER, if anyone wants it, I can put in a demo, where you can do simple target practice. That's already in.
OR, you can wait for system jumping, which should be in within the next few days, more variety in explosions (currently there's only one, which is kinda dull).
