These are your rules. Live by them. Rules are subject to change at any time.

General:

-Register with a first and last name, capitalized properly.

-You must be at least 13 to join. This is in IF's rules, and I don't want to get shut down anytime soon.

-Adult content is not allowed! Again, one of IF's rules, so keep it PG-13. This goes for in character and out of character, text and images. Take anything inappropriate to AIM.

-Act like a mature adult, even if you aren't one. To me this means be respectful, don't start petty drama, and don't get too whiny over silly little things.

Applying

-You may not begin roleplaying until your character application has been accepted.

-Students must be between 13 and 18 years old. Teachers can be no younger than 25 and non-teaching staff can be no younger than 19.

-Keep this in mind when creating a character and selecting a play-by: This is an anachronistic culture. We don't expect all of your images to be 100% in period dress, but do try to avoid any with blue jeans, excessive tattoos or piercings, etc

-Incomplete applications may be posted if they are finished within three days. If three days pass and it is still not complete, it will be moved to the archive. This is just for organization, and you can certainly request to have it moved out if you want to finish it. Though, if you know in advance that it might take you longer, work on it in a word document or the notepad in the user control panel.

-If your application is not what we're looking for, you may edit it. However, I will be a little pickier on the sample. If the sample is poor and there are more than one major faults with the application (i.e. many contradictions, spelling or grammar mistakes to the extent that it gets in the way of reading, etc) then it may be outright denied.

-Just to make it crystal clear: I'm looking for a sample that's two or three well-developed paragraphs, around 200-300 words, though length is not the deciding factor. If I can get a good sense of what's going on in your post, what your character's mood is, what they're doing, and where they are, you're probably golden.

-If application edits are requested, you have two weeks to complete them before your application is moved to the archives.

-You may have two characters of any age an gender you like. You may have a third if at least one is male, and you may have a fourth if at least one is an adult. All of your characters must be active.

-Try not to overdo the tragic pasts and other such Sue-isms. I am aware that the plot of this board may lend itself well to characters who have issues, for lack of a better term. Please keep in mind that in this society, something as simple as cursing or speaking against the government is illegal. A lot of these kids will be what we consider perfectly normal.

Roleplaying Rules:

-Try to aim for a post size of at least two to three well-developed paragraphs.

-Try your best to have proper spelling and grammar. We know that nobody is perfect, but a little effort goes a long way.

-The usual RP rules apply: No godmoding, no power playing, etc

-There are rules for students (see the school info thread), but you may break them as much or as little as you like. Keep in mind, there will be consequences if you're caught.

-About rules: Faculty members may go wherever they please, so long as there are no interruptions of important plot points anyone wants or needs to play out. For now, this will be left up to player discretion, but this may change if this right is abused. Just remember, if you've got a thread where you're playing out something against the rules, there actually is a chance that you may get caught!

-The most important rule of all: HAVE FUN!
