Weyr Bowl
Not so much a bowl as a valley, Bahram's Weyrbowl is a massive stretch of land ringed by high mountains, providing ample space for all its occupants as well as room for the vast herds beholden to the weyr. Huge towers dominate the skyline on three of the main mountain ridges, allowing guards to look out over the surrounding area.

The Grand Lake
Taking up a decent amount of space in the weyrbowl itself is the Grand Lake, a wide expanse of water fed by two tributary rivers. It provides all the necessary water for the weyr as well as supplemental fishing and bathing areas. Shell-lizards often like to lay their clutches here, and healer's often bring injured dragons for suspension therapy in the cool waters.

Rider Weyrs
Once a mighty show of force, the now mostly-empty Dragon Weyrs are a cold testament to just how much the changed thread has affected Pern and her creatures. Built into the rocky mountains surrounding the weyrbowl, even the green weyrs are larger than normal, providing a great deal of space for everyone from the lowest ranked to the highest. The weyrwoman's and weyrqueen's quarters are the lowest and largest of the lot, with a shared inner chamber for meetings.

Battler Halls
On the ground level of the weyrbowl's walls, smaller caves have been cleaned and cleared out and made larger, providing rooms for the smaller Battlers. Fewer in number than the dragon's or wher's spaces, the battler's halls are under constant construction, and so often are in a bit of a mess. Occasionally lower level dragon weyrs are transformed into mated or friendly battler halls, allowing them a larger cavern for two or three pairs.

Wher Lairs
A massive labyrinth system of tunnels and caves lies underneath the mountains of Bahram, some which have been turned into storage facilities, while most have been transformed into areas more suitable for whers, whether singly or in pairs. The senior Queen's chamber is the largest, a cavern nearly as big as that of a high ranked dragon's, and directly connected to a second cavern that serves as their hatching grounds. All of the tunnels are well protected from light and weather, and can be turned, in dire situations, into an easily defensible area of last retreat.

Kitchen
Part of the massive stone building in the northern end of the weyrbowl, the kitchens and dining halls take up a massive amount of space, a relic of the past when the weyr served great legions of riders and handlers, though little is used with the depleted number of weyrfolk. Meals are served four times a day, though simple foodstuffs are available at nearly any hour thanks to round-the-clock workers. The dining halls are a decent place to meet up with others, with private rooms set aside for those who wish privacy while eating.

Library
Another area of the stone structure in the heart of the weyrbowl, the library holds all the written knowledge contained within the weyr, from old leather books to ancient tapestries. Few truly have time to spend here anymore, and many of the older books are beginning to show signs of age since they aren't as cared for any longer. However old training records and all the lineages and histories are held within the library, only waiting for someone to come make use of its knowledge.

Craft Halls
Several areas within the stone building are dedicated to the various craft halls of Bahram, including a smithy hall, beastcrafters hall, and a weaving hall. There is much more room for other halls, though many have fallen into disuse with too few crafters to fill them up.

Infirmary
Perhaps the largest and most active of any area within the weyr, Bahram's infirmary, both for the bonded creatures and humans, is top-notch, with healers well trained in their arts and ready to fly out at a moments notice. Separate caverns allow any creature from wher to dragons to be housed, as well as smaller rooms for the human patients. Those dragons with healer riders often have weyrs close to the infirmary.

Lower Tunnels
A confusing jumble of tunnels heading in any and all directions, the lower tunnels serve as a holding area for the weyr's foodstuffs and other items, as well as a safe haven for Bahram's weyrfolk should the weyr itself ever come under attack. Wherhandlers are often seen down here, and occasionally have to go search and find some poor lost soul who lost their way.

Stables
A part of the weyrbowl, the stables are another large part of Bahram Weyr, serving to house its many runnerbeasts for the cavalry, as well as their own barracks. A training area and field have both been set aside for the cavalry to work on maneuvers.

Candidate Barracks
A long, two story stone structure close to that which holds the kitchen, library, craft-halls, and infirmary, the candidate's barracks house everyone who hopes to become a future dragonrider, wherhandler, or battle-rider. Each room is built as a double, though can house up to four candidates at a time, though that hasn't been necessary within the past several decades. Inside are bathing halls, a study room, as well as a large meeting room.

Hatching Grounds
Buried deep in the heart of the mountain, carved by thousands of hands and claws, with sand flown in from further south, the hatching sands of Bahram are an testament to the old life of a dragonrider. Huge stands have been carved out of the cavern's sides, smoothed by the years and its occupants, all leading directly down to the black-sands. Two huge, carved pillars reside on each side of the main entrance, while an intricately detailed stone-carved dragon pair curl in splendor over the Queen's entrance. The tableau is obviously meant to intimidate and impress, though it has fallen into disuse in recent turns.

The Skies
Where clouds drift by lazily and where rain comes from, the Skies are where... well, quite a bit of life happens. That tends to be the case when you have wings, or can be carried by something that has wings. Thread will be fought here, because stuff like that happens too.

Mating Flights and Runs
BABIES! This is where they start. When a female dragon, wher, battler, flitter, shell-lizard, or tunnelkit's hide starts to glow and they start becoming proddy... Males of their respective species chase, and thus flights take place!

Grasslands
Exactly as the name suggest, these lands are covered in huge swathes of waving tall grass. Small squeaky and possibly fuzzy things live here, and these lands are as flat as can be. Situated closer to Bahram, and farther from Saraf, these lands are a good between away, but sometimes worth the time. After all, a romp in the grass can be good for the soul. No matter your species.

Gunjaad River
This river is... well, just a river. But it's a big one, and therefor important. That how that goes. Full of things to eat, but which might fight back, or eat you in turn, the Gunjaad River winds its way around most of the mountains, and then down through the lowlands. Everyone seems to want a piece of it. It must be a mighty important river after all...

Battlelands
Battling takes place here, and it is not a nice place. Blood and ichor, stain the ground and there is a scent of death upon the air. War, in general, is not kind to anyone, and that includes these past wars. Perhaps some would take it as a warning, but they are overruled by those in who the drums beat eternal.

The Mines
Dotting the landscape between the two weyrs are vast underground passages and mines, which have gone from firestone mining to natural resource mining and, now, back to firestone once more. Many weyrlings are sent here for chores, and its also the place to stock up on firestone for threadfall and battles.

Tunnels
Eerie places from the days before Thread fell once more, these giant tunnels show signs of human, and creature, occupation, and not always the good kind... Bandits and those seeking a clandestine meeting often use these tunnels for their own gain, though they should all be wary should they not wish to come face to face with danger.

Bandit's Camps
A viscous place of outlaws, the bandit's camps are dotted here and there over the continent, a danger to all travelers no matter their ages or genders. Very few can pass through their territories unscathed, and from time to time the weyrs are called upon to attempt to flush them out, though this is rarely more than a temporary solution.

Graveyard
A burial plot for those who have died since Thread returned, this well-tended area sees visitors quite often. Those bonded creatures which have not returned between are buried here in massive graves, with their bond-mates beside them. Dragons sweep over here during the day while whers keep an eye on the area at night.

Abandoned Weyr
Home of a weyr long forgotten, abandoned before Thread was ever deflected by AIVAS' machinations, this ghostly area is a silent testament to just what can become of Bahram and Saraf should they not succeed in saving their world. Various animals dwell here, both natural and human predators occasionally taking up residence as well.

The Swamps
Murky, and in places filled with poisonous gases, the swamps are no place for humans, and even draconids would have a hard time in this area. Few creatures can survive in this twisted landscape, and those that do often are not at all what they once appeared to be.
