Cameron Royal walked over the stony threshold that marked the entrance to the tower. With tentative steps, Cam climbed the craggy stairs until he reached a landing. Directly infront of him, about 5 meters away, was an actient door that enevitably led to the one of the highest places in the school; the astronomy look-out.

Cameron wasted no time on the small landing, and was quickly pulling the tarnished door handle to go outside. The moment that Cameron had opened then door, moonlight filled the small inside area, making the stones glimer with light. But, that was not the significant part. Once the door was open, it seemed that the universe was laid bare befor Cameron. All of the magnificent stars seemed played their own tunes of beauty, and shone like lustrous dimonds against the the velvet canopy overhead.

Cameron walked out onto the look-out balcony in awe. His eyes were transfixed upon the glorious night sky.

Kristin sat up slowly. Concealed in the darkness of the night bathed room. She heard the stairs creak, the door latch to the balcony open. She opened her eyes to a boy's profile before he disappeared on to the terrace.

She had been there a while, thinking. Washing away her feelings of homesickness. She felt awake and alert. She couldn't be lost in her dizzying dreams no further. She got up from the long sofa she had been relaxing on and walked over to the door and peaked through the glass door.

He was looking in to the sky. To the stars and he was drenched in the full moon. He was tall. Maybe he could catch a falling star. She stepped back and turned the waiting door handle and slipped outside.

Cameron did not notice anyone come outside. He was too enthaled by the night sky. It had never seemed so Alive to his before. It had always seemed so simple, but now the complexity of it all ovewhelled him. He dropped to his knees, still unawhere that somebody had accompanied him. When Cam was focused, he tuned everything else out. Even if he was in the middle of a conversation with someone. Cam was not a social being.

Kristin slipped through the old door. Wrapping her arms around herself, she felt a little warmer. She smiled as her eyes seemed to take in the sky. Amazing. Millions zillions...they went on forever. Like flickering candles they glowed beautifuly. She stepped forward closing the door behind her.

Placing her palms on the railing she still saw stars in her eyes. "It's nice out" she said quietly, not wanting to surprise him.

Cameron was surprized. He jumped at the sound of her vioce, and imediatly got up from his knees. Looking around, he searched for the source of the sound.

After a few seconds, his eyes fell on a girl that he had seen around the castle maybe a few times. She seemed to be looking at the start just like he was.

"Uhh, yeah," Cameron said not knowing how to express the beauty that was sprayed accross the sky.

"I know huh. I mean. Beautiful. It's like I've never seen the sky properly before tonight." she said as she managed to find her voice in between the billions of scattered stars and the brilliant moon staring back at them.

She had never seen the sky like this. Being from the city, she was always trying to see through the haze and city lights for dim recognition of stars. Out here it was pure, untouched and wild. Something she could get used to.

"Come out here often?" she asked taking her eyes from the glittering sea and looking through the moonlight to the boy. Who looked about the same age as her.
