Dinner Date... Kind of., Tag: Rose

[Cameron Royal]

Cameron flew down the corridor toward the the huge painting of fruit. He had lost track of time, talking to Angelina Johnson in the Gryffindor common room. He feared that he was late.

As he neared the painting, he saw Rose standing in fornt of it. He slowed down to a walk, looked around at the coats of armor lining the hall, and then focused on the girl.

"Sorry that I am late." he said.

Rose looked up smiling when she heard Cameron's voice. "It's alright." she said softly. She met his eyes, and felt something flutter inside her stomach. Almost unknowing to herself, she laid her hand on it.
What is this feeling and what am I doing?!!!
She finally managed to tear herself away from Cameron's eyes, before she totally melted. "Let's get inside, shall we?" she asked excited. It wasn't like she ever before had had a date inside the school walls!

Cameron did not know why he felt so happy arounf Rose, but at the first sound of her vioce, he felt like he was floating. Of course, he had to hide his feelings for her. He did not want her to know that he was developing quite a large crush on her. After all, the were becoming best friends!

"Yes, I do belive that we should go inside," he answered. Cam reached out and gently tickled the huge pear in the picture so that they could get inside.

Rose giggled when Cameron elegantly opened the door. It seemed as if, everything he did made her giggle. Pretending as if she was bowing, she entered the kitchens, and was quite surprised by them. "Wow, it's really large! And... it's beautifull." She said impressed, turning around to see if Cameron was following her.

Cameron entered the room, and started to think about how this room was directly under the great hall, and how the house elves sent dinner magicaly up to the students with their unique powers.

"Yes, it is very large." Cameron said, not knowing that Rose had clausterphobia. "And, it is the perfect home for the elves."

Just then, a large horde of house-elvs dived over the four large tables of the room, and surounder them. They were not too close, however. They were just over-eager, and ready to serve them. Cameron looked at Rose with an amused look.

He had come here to think once. That had been a bad idea. The elves just kept asking if they could get him something. The madening part was that they kept breaking his concentration!

Rose laughed out loud this time, and was clearly impressed. "They're so sweet, and funny!" she said Cameron, looking at the elves, already growing fond of them. "I never knew there were so many!" She saw that Cameron was lookin amused at her, but just shyly returned the look. "I guess we better sit down and order something, right?" She asked sweetly.

Cameron nodded. He did not think that he had to verbally answer that question. So, in answer, he made his way over to one of the tables. The House-elve jumped out of his way as he moved.

Sitting down, he waited for Rose to join him.

A little plan formed in Rose's mind. A joke. She knew it was being childish, but since it was a table with chairs, and they were on a 'date', and he was kind of her best friend, she thought she could risk it.

She walked over to the table and stopped next to her chair. Quietly tapping her foot, she bent her arms behind her back and subtly coughed. When Cameron looked up, she pulled up her eyebrows unpatiently, clearly showing that she wanted him to pull out her chair for her. On the inside, she was dying with laughter. If someone said one word, she would probably collapse and not stop giggling for the next hour.

Cameron did not hold any stake in manners. He felt that they were ways to mask who people were, and Cam did not want any part of it.

He looked Rose staight in the eyes and shook his head with a smile. He remained seated, and did not even so much as moved in the diretion of the chair. Nothing was going to make him pull out that seat.

Rose forced a smile, but on the inside, she was burning. She knew it was childish, it had started as a little joke, but losing was something that made her furious. But she knew it. She had to admit defeat now. And it made her grunt inside. It was probably because of that that she had been placed in Slytherin.

Trying to control her breathing, but still handling almost furious, she pulled out her chair and sat down. She looked up at Cameron and forced her smile even wider. "So, here we are." she said, almost quickly, almost evillish.

Cameron merely nodded. He knew that they were there, and she knew that they were there. There was nothing that needed to be said.

Cameron looked at the houself that was standing a few inshes from the edge of the table. The creature looked so anxios to serve them that its head was turning a nice red from lack of oxegen.

"I will take what they are having up in the great hall right now," Cameron told the elf. He knew that hundreds of students were dining in the great hall as they sat in the kitchens.

Next, Cameron looked at Rose, wondering what she was going to have. He did not even notice the mood that he had put her into.

The House-elve bowed and waited for Rose to answer her. "Could you make me a tagliatelli with curry sauce and tigershrimps, please?" She asked, acting friendly and forcing an enlarged smile. "And bring me a glass of italian white wine, please." The house-elve bowed and dissappeared. Rose sighed lightly and looked up. Then she looked up at Cameron. "Hope you don't mind that. I have a quite refined taste when it comes to food." she said almsot mocking.
