Weyrbowl Peregrine is structured almost like a traditional weyr: it has the classic weyrbowl shape, with ledges, caverns, and tunnels carved into the rock face and a large open space at the center. The only difference is that rather than a natural caldera, the Peregrine weyrbowl was excavated by the colony ship.

Hatching Caverns An expanse of warm sand, heated naturally by geothermal energy, where the queens lay their clutches. The Hatching Caverns are surrounded by carved stone stadium seating with plenty of room for spectators. An opening at the top of the cavern is just large enough to allow in sunlight, or one dragon at a time to enter from the air, but it can also be covered in case of inclement weather.

Riders' Weyrs Peregrine has traditionally styled weyrs, carved into the sides of the Weyrbowl. Most of the lower weyrs can be reached on foot, either by internal tunnels or stairs built into the bowl itself, but some of the topmost weyrs on the rim can only be reached on dragonback. Ground weyrs are also available.

Lower Caverns Literally caverns. In addition to the smaller caves that form some of the cliffside weyrs, Minecrafters discovered a much larger network of natural caves, which were converted into kitchens, dining hall, storage, etc. They remain a pleasantly cool temperature year-round, which makes them a popular retreat during the hotter months.

Candidate Barracks The Candidate Barracks are divided in two: boys to the west wing, girls to the east. Candidates do not have the luxury of much privacy. The barracks are actual barracks: no individual rooms, just a row of bunk beds, with a wall locker for each Candidate.

Weyrling Barracks Unlike the Candidate Barracks, the weyrling quarters are 'barracks' in name only. Each weyrling will receive a private room, spacious enough to easily accomodate their dragon until they are old enough to fly and receive a proper weyr. Weyrling rooms contain a bed, a dragon couch, a dresser, and a desk and chair.

Wherhandler Quarters Set on the opposite side of the Peregrine from the Weyr, the wherhandler quarters are closer in shape to a mountain Hold than the Weyr itself. Set partially into the mountain and partially outside it, they tend to be dimly-lit as a rule. All windows are shuttered to keep light out.

Crafters' Quarters Peregrine Weyr plays host to a wide array of Crafters and non-dragonriding Weyrfolk, mostly those who were eager to learn more about the offworlders or study the new colours along with the Peregrine crew. The Crafters' quarters, set mostly outside the Weyr and not far from the wreck of the Peregrine allow living space and workshop space for any who wish to continue their work while at the Weyr.

The Peregrine Though the offworlders frequently refer to it as 'the derelict,' the Peregrine is far from unusable. The currently-grounded ship is still in fair working order; running off electricity supplied by hydroelectric pumps in the Weyr - the sliding doors still work, the computers are all still operational, and all the state-of-the-art equipment still functions. The ship is brightly-lit, with a stark, white-plastic interior.
