THE PENTALOGUE OF THE PENBRIDGE WRITERS
The Penbridge Writers did not make nor divide into articles or sections its written rules because we should strictly and faithfully observe and follow the humane principles of practicing freedom of expression, the laws, the decrees, the statutes, found in our present Constitution to enhance our right to express our freedom. The genuine reason why this organization did not build rules, is, we need to avoid confusion.
There are actually no rules, no guidelines, and no standards in writing. As long as you do not deprive someone's rights, anyone can write anything with ease, freedom, and liberty in accordance with his will, emotion and reason.
Here's just a few reminders:
1. Writing allegorical works which might tend to cause embarrassment to an individual, institution, groups, etc., is prohibited.
2. Refrain from discussing topics which might sound offensive to the children/minors, vis, avoid using obscene words.
3. Giving comments about an article should be constructive and should start in a positive approach. Avoid giving harsh criticisms.
4. Do not include unreliable information in your works. If it is fiction, don't label it as fact.
5. Be sure to recognize your sources. Name the references you used. Give credit where credit is due.
POLITICS IS A SENSITIVE TOPIC: Writing my article about politics.
The Penbridge Writers permits its members to freely express themselves without fear of reprisal, political and economic issues, social pressing problems and other nonpolitical topics are allowed to be published.
But each member who wants to participate in the forum should always accurately observe and respect the objectives and the principles that constitute the whole organization.
We can share our views on political bickering between the government and the opposition on a certain issue to give our stand or favor to the administration or protest against it.
However, we should put in our common senses that a better political observer is always sure that his approach in giving his own reactions about the Philippine political scene or about world politics is right and at the same time should not miss the point!
Good Luck!
