[spoiler=The Lost Town]The man stood in front of a destroyed sign. He looked at the floor behind it and found the rest of it. 'Welcome To Arcadia', it read. The man looked up, brandishing his long knife, at the decrepit town which lay beyond the sign. It wasn't a town at all, it was like it had been hit by a meteor; it's houses lay in ruin, and the townspeople were already degenerating into the soil; which in itself almost had a vicious look to it, as if it were carnivourous. [/spoiler]

In the continent of Arceo, there were 7 provinces and over 90 settlements. The most famous was a very small city known as Belmoon. In Belmoon, there came to be 4 legendary mercenary guilds: The Black Sword, The Valkyrie Blade, Flaming Torrent and Thor's Assault. Over time, missions and disputes between the townspeople caused many epic, epic fights to be staged in that peaceful city between each guild as the disputing people had hired. The guilds grew and spread their dominion, becoming travelling parties and creating sub-clans. As civilization in Arceo in general expanded, these 4 legendary origin guilds came to silently inherit the world. The Sword ruled the Wilful West, the Blade came to own the Elegant East, the Torrent protected the Newly-discovered North and the Assault defended the Silent South. After two apocalyptic events which almost saw the end of all the guilds, a third danger stood inevitably in the ever-drawing future.
And then one day, it happened.

Welcome to League of Swords, a RPG which I started quite a long time ago, so many here today probably won't remember. I wanted to bring the series back with LOS3 which I made on another forum, and which I think was the best of the LoS I've made so far. This revamped version will feature as much extra new super awesome innovative stuff as I can fit in, and will hopefully be a success. Basically you play in 4 Legendary Guilds; The Black Sword, Flaming Torrent, The Valkyrie Blade or Thor's Assault. These have aged a bit since LoS1 and so have new features if you have played one of these games (i.e. TA is no longer only for Axe-users, FT no longer only for Magic-users etc.). I've outlined what's happened in LoS in the previous two games below;
League of Swords (original): Featured the 4 Guilds stated above. Guilds basically battled common enemies like WarCattle and fought it out with each other for dominion in Belmoon until a meteor crashed near the city (around 20 miles away), the Guilds fought their way to the meteor, only to discover that it was host to an ever-expanding hive of MaulWyrms which were basically giant dragon/worm hybrids. They defeated the scurge and got praised and written into history etc.
League of Swords 2: Demons A.K.A. League of Shadows: It was actually simply called League of Shadows without the League of Swords bit at the beginning, although on ONM forum it was called Demons. Went forward in time a lot to show just what happened if the antagonist actually won the game. Players had to fight out in a neo-modern city for control of the Plexiverse itself.

Choose one of the following (for your item):

Then choose a level of power, of the above effect (0 being lowest, 10 being highest). So say I chose a Shield with Defend, I can add 4 on it (or any other number under 10). So it would be Shield +4 Def.

Then for your weapon, it's just 10-*item effect level*. The 10 is how much it could be, the 4 is the power of your item, and the six is the result. So I would have a Shield +4 (Def) and maybe a Sword +6(Pwr).

I'm terrible at explaining. >_<, sorry.

Summona
The power to summon a TyrantGiant (A species of intelligent dragonfolk) at will. The Dragon belongs to the Guild Founder, Sirius Comet (Allan109 on ONM, back in LoS1), and has been passed down to you. Though at early stages in the game, you cannot summon it during battle.

Write the above down somewhere or remember it or something. In fact, I'll list all powers, abilities and Experience in the first post.

@Calarandir: You can only either have Duskpower or Defence and it has to go with your Buckler. Your Blood Sword's only effect right now is Pwr (Power), though later you may be able to attach different effects to your weapon. Anyway, would you wish to have Dusk? Or Def?

Since the Guild was started by Pedro Parros (LoS1, character played by 20chambo06), The Black Sword have had the ability to not only cast Dark Magic Spells, but fuse them with any Magic around them to create a new spell, which they may keep. This ability comes into effect as soon as you get your first Magicks.

EDIT: JinX, you too. Either choose Defence OR Dawn. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear. >_<;
Your Guild Ability:
Bladeplay
The Valkyrie Blade are only matched in Swordplay by The Black Sword. The Valks, whose founder's name was lost in many centuries (I've forgotten it, but it's on the other PC somewhere, along with LoS1's first post), have managed to outdo their rivals by developing their own style of Swordplay, called Bladeplay. Bladeplay kills a single enemy- whose level is under yours- with ease, and with multiple enemies, a random number (up to 6) are killed. Can only be used once every 8 battles.

Reference;
>H=Health. No H means No Life.
>PH=Primary Hero. This is the leader of the group, or captain.
>Merc.=Short for Mercenary.
>Psn=Poison. Takes off 5H from target every time the character who
casted it posts.
>Stun. Stops the target from doing anything for a random number of turns.
>Dusk=DuskPower. Allows the caster to take hold of the environment with radius that increases with level.
>Dawn=DawnPower. Allows the caster to manipulate a certain number of actions of the target. The efficiency increases with level.

You drop Magnius' charm on the floor, it bounces northward and points towards Mount Parva. You begin the trek. Arriving at 5:50PM, you see Magnius in a fight with a rather disturbing man. The Deathman looks at you once and you feel to weak to help out your friend, you watch the battle intently, though. You see Magnius whack up the Deathman, and the Deathman's eyes changing colour. You then notice something weird behind the Deathman, an eye in the centre of it's back; it's flashing dangerously!

I shout to Magnius that he's in danger and needs to run, then I run back down the mountain to cover.

After hearin Borri's shout, i immediately stop attacking him and stop myself frm kicking him inthe nuts and i spint in the opposie direction swooping down to pick up my weapon on my escape. 'Come on Brri, if ther really is a problem that we can't solve then we hall run first and ask qestions later.'

As Borri rolls down the hill (tripping when his weak legs buckle), he regains his strength, stopping the roll with an elegant skid. Magnius sprinting towards his weapon, grabbed it his hands screaming in pain from the forcefield. Once out of the Dangerzone of Deathmans grasp, you decide you best not go to the mountain at such a low level; it's freaking dangerous after all. The Deathman lets off a primal scream, and every animal and creature within it's 20 metre radius dies, instantly.

You eat up and find a bandage in the drawer of the room. The bandages+the food heals you both. But remember, just food, or just bandages won't heal you.
BORRI: You then lie in bed, fall asleep, then waiting for tomorrow.
MAGNIUS: You finish your food and bandage yourself up. Seeings as the decision to rest up for tonight wasn't your choice...

When you are with NPCs such as Guild Members, You can command them to attack as well; perhaps stringing together combos (i.e. "I slide tackle Enemy1 and kick him in the air, I then leave my guild members to jump past him and slash him with their weapons, one by one.")
