The Metal Gear Series, Specifically MGS4(&5) (PS3 forum.)

So anyone who's played Brawl will recognize the Legendary Mercenary that is Solid Snake.

I will start by saying something which ideally should provoke response, seeings as we need a good debate in this section.

I would get a PS3, almost purely for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Of course, I'd get it for some other games as well (especially seeings as I don't have an XBox360 which has practically the same games). Other games would include Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden, and Heavenly Sword. I w-- whoops, I went a bit Off Topic there.
Anyway, back on to the topic at hand, would you consider getting a Metal Gear Solid Classics Collection for about £50 (would include all the games from Metal Gear Solid (on PS1) up to Metal Gear Solid 4 (on PS3).

Also, if you do know the series, and/or have played 4, how do you think they'd incorporate a MGS5. They'd have to use another Snake I guess.
BTW, MGS has such an amazing storyline, and humour as well.

I bought MGS4 a few weeks ago and its really a great game. Some of snakes one liners are hilarious.

My favourite is when [spoiler=Spoiler]snake says"Liquid has his own death star" when he is on outer haven. [/spoiler]

one thing I dont like about it is MGO it just doesn't work for me.

Yeah... Ive played all the MGS games so far. At first i personally didnt like MGS4 due to the enviroment etc. But as the game went on I have to say that it was a really amazing game. Great Story line also amazing visuals and as always some of the best AI system.
It is now on par with MGS3, my perspective anyway.
As of to a new MGS game, I dont think they are going to create one.

Personally, have never payed any and probably will never get round to playing them, though i have had intentions of doing before and have heard good things about all of them

New metal gear game!, I'm not sure what console it will be on though hoping ps3, but there's roumors of it being on the new psp, psp go

Edit: i just read this on the metal gear wiki "Metal Gear Solid: Rising was officially announced at E3 2009 for Xbox 360, featuring ether a new Raiden or Jack himself."
