I might be a month or two off with a few of them but I think they are all roughly when they came out...

remember 2006 was the end of 6th edition...

Empire---------- October 2000
Orcs & Goblins-- November 2000
Dwarfs----------- January 2001
Vampire Counts- April 2001
Dark Elves------- June 2001
High Elves------- January 2002
Skaven---------- March 2002
Hordes of Chaos- June 2002
Tomb Kings------ January 2003
Lizardmen-------- May 2003
Beasts of Chaos-- August 2003
Bretonnia--------- February 2004
Ogre Kingdoms--- January 2005
Wood Elves------- August 2005
Dwarfs------------- March 2006

Then we got

Orcs & Goblins------- 06'
Empire January----- 07'
High Elves----------- November 07'
Vampire Counts----- March 08'
Daemons of Chaos-- May 08'
Dark Elves----------- August 08'
Warriors of Chaos--- 08'
Lizardmen----------- 09'

Skaven is next up I think and should be out in next few months...
November maybe? It will be only the 2nd book for 2009 and should be the last one...

Then we have Beasts...2010...January we can guess...

From talking to Matt and looking on the order form to try and get Naoufal last minute stuff for GT, it looked like...

Tomb Kings were being taken off the shelves... so we can say they are up after Beasts in 2010...

which leaves...

Ogres and Brettonians...

One of them should be out in 2010..."PLEASE OGRES"...and then by then we would be approaching 2011...which in turn I think 8th edition would either be out by then...or about to hit...but I would assume Bretts would be on the cusp of 7th/8th type books...

Which then would go Dwarfs and WE's to kick off 8th...

I'm with you on hoping that the next book after the Skaven is the Ogres....all though I would have to buy two new army books and change both of my armies. Oh well, can anyone say new models. biggrin.gif

More than likely the Brettonians will be done before the Ogres.

hey, you were talking about releases, so i decided to add one of the most asked about and anticipated books, that just happened to be a 40k book not a fantasy book.

Awesome TK 2010! If they aren't as nasty as VC then my undead will have a purpose!

I would see brets being done before Ogres. I think more people play it though Ogres need a new book more than bretts GW will go for what they think makes money.

That's why Space Wolves and Dark Eldar keep getting pushed back, not to many people play them anymore.

Yes they are, as rumur has it, but they were suspose to come out before guard and SM but IG and SM = more profit than SW so they get the back seat, and DE get the trunk, and the lock is broken.

And 40k players have a nice time waiting for DE, make sure to hold your breath. biggrin.gif

Do we have an news on changes to the skaven, as have seen none. Is everyone in the dark about this or just me?

So Skaven is getting it's release Nov 7th as projected back in July.

Nids are being done in January so leaves beasts for February or March.

09 I kinda of saw as being WH40K oriented so I am thinking 2010 will be WHFB... maybe a summer campaign or something with a nice release of 2nd wave WoC stuff included with beastmen stuff...

I'm really curious if TK,OK,Brets will be done before 8th edition and which book will be getting the shaft as the last book of 7th...
