This section is for the introduction of new members and to tell us a little about yourselves.

I'll start with myself. I have been into this hobby for a few years now and I currently play Orks. I have an extensive Black Templar army as well but right now I'm concentrating on developing a murderous green horde.
I don't get to play as often as I would like to which is the very reason why I started this site.
Myself and my BlackKnight talked extensively about putting together a site to unite the gamers in our area to arrange games at various times according to our busy schedules.

We thought it would be an excellent idea to create a venue that would give local gamers an opportunity to post in a forum dedicated specifically to setting up games in the local gaming store.

Thus...ORDO MALLEUS was born.

We hope to make this a successful and informative site. With the help of all our fellow gamers, I feel that this can be easily accomplished.

I guess I'm up next. I got into 40K about 7 years ago through my son. I was helping him out with his space marines (Sons of Medusa Chapter) and really enjoyed painting them and the fluff behind the Space Marines. The only thing left was for me to pick a chapter. I decided on the Dark Angels since I liked the rules that I could field an all Ravenwing or all Deathwing army. I now have about 8,000 pts of Dark Angels which includes 5 Land Raiders and about 30 unpainted terminators.

I also have about 3,000 pts of Daemonhunters that is mostly painted. I put these guys together because the previous Chaos Codex was so cheesey. I usually run about 26 Grey Knights, 3 Dreads and a Grand Master with a 5 man retinue. I also have about 7 assassins, and an Inquisitor plus retinue (unpainted 20 or so models). I own 2 more land Raiders for these guys, plus a Chimera, a Rhino and about 20 or so Inquisitorial Stormtroopers (with 2 meltas, 2 plasma rifles, and 2 grenade launcers) I am also converting my Baneblade to use with this army. I want it to be a Death Dealing Mobile Shrine to the Emperor of Mankind !!

I puchased a Necron Army from Outlaw, but i rarely use them. I am still playing with the list and trying to figure out what works. I have had some good luck with them in some battles and have been crushed and forced to phase out in others.

I purchased a Bretonnian box set when it 1st came out (newest edition) and have added a few more knights. I currently have about 50 or so knights. Mostly Knights of the Realm & Knights Errant, But I also have 6 Questing Knights, 3 Pegasus Knights and 5 Grail Knights. I have tons of old empire stuff, but I haven't gotten around to working on them since its not easy to find a Fantasy game. But hopefully that will change soon.

I am currently working on a Deathwatch Kill Team. I converted about 12 models with all diffrent Chapters Icons. The unit will have a Librarian & a Captain (depending on which HQ I want to field and how many pts that I can spend). There are a number of marines with close combat weapons (since they have True Grit) and bolters and a few with the Deathwatch Heavy Bolter which can be shot on the move with a slighly reduced range. These guys can be an HQ choice for an Imperial Army.

I have been playing for about 8 years, I have had 8 guard armies (regular guard, Tanith, armoured company, mechanised company, vostroyains, vahallens, tallerns, my drop troops army, and i'm currently building another guard army). I've also played Orkz, and Feral Orkz, Tau, Space Wolves, and Ravenwing. For fantasy I play Bretonnians and orcs and goblins.

I have around 6 years under my belt. I concentrate my attention to forces of speed. I play DARK ELDAR - whych cults, warriors cults. My second army was Guard; needed something with armour for a change. Then I played Speed Freaks.
I refuse to play with anything Space Marine- They are my soul enemy, as such I am always ready to see them on the battle field.

Hello,

I've been playing the Tau for the last 3 years. I briefly had a Tyranid army, but I quickly found out that I was not cut out to be a two army man.

I started after walking through the Games Workshop store in the Palisades mall. I was torn between which army to play, until I saw the Crisis suits. I always loved the Robo-tech cartoons, so I was hooked.

Hopefully I will be able to get more games in before my son is born in July.

Whats up fellas,

Hmm lets see where to start, I got into the Warhammer games back in 96', which places me with 12 years of table top gaming experience. I enjoyed 40k for all of those years up until 4th edition, in which then I started my monogamous relationship with WHFB.

After working for GW for 4 years, and playing with HQ the Club since I was a teen, I have met most of you and maybe even some of you played against me. Now that HQ is in my past I have joined up with a club known as Jervis' Johnson's and we continue to travel to different GT's strictly in WHFB.

I go to Toywiz mostly on Wednesdays to play with a few buddies, sometimes Saturdays, but of coarse the older I get the less time I have to play with little toy soldiers.

Having play tested some of 5th edition 40K I am interested to see the reaction of many 40k players come 5th ED.s release, as I assume that many will flock to WHFB after they read the rulebook. With that being said, I know many of you play strictly 40k, and if you do not know how to play WHFB, I would be more than happy to teach anyone who would like to learn the basics or get more involved in the game.

Otherwise I have marines at just about any point cost, 1750 Kroot and an Eldar army at about 3k. Really I have just about something for every army out there but those are the armies I have that I enjoy playing.

My WHFB army of choise is Ogres, but I also have dwarfs, and Tzeentch Daemon Legion.

I am looking to start new venues/events for gamers to come to play, as I think specifically in Rockland County there is a high demand for tournaments, in both gaming systems.

I have a large number of highly detailed tables and terrain that I can borrow from a friend for a small fee just a phone call away, and a large array of players that are more than willing to make the travel to come play at tournaments.

I think Tow Wiz has great potential to bring in a large number of gamers for events like these, and hopefully with the newly development of this site we can attract more players to come and play.

Cheers

Hi,

I am drew

i play down at hiway hobby in ramsey on route 17. I started playing there almost two years ago so compared to most i'm new. But i know the rule throughly. Also have some understanding of the fantisy rulebook, becuase my orks were once fantisy orks, if you look close you can see that some still are, but i havent looked trough mine in some time.

I play orks and have about 3000 points but apoc only because 600 of those points are form a stompa (home made, looks good trust me, no boxes as titans thats just wrong.

I also have maybe 3000 pts. in choas and 4000 pts. in guards once again 500 pts. come from a banre blade and 2500 pts. from 13 leman russes. but my points are going to drop around 200 pts. with the new codex ( guardsmen are planned to be 4 pts. a modle)
and i have also heard the new edition rules there has to be something missing from the rumors becuase what i have heard does not sound good for about every army besides the orks becuase of the rumored everyone fleets rule thats in 5th editoin.

I'm new too. For those of you who know SKeeM (you've probably heard of his painting) I'm his son. I also have an account on Heresy-online.net and I started on 40K a few months ago.

Hey. I have been playing Warhammer Fantasy for about two and a half years now. I first heard about it from a friend of mine who's father was really into the game and he was as well. I went to pick out an army at the Games Workshop that was in the Palisades mall, knowing that I wanted to have some sort of elf army. I didnt know enough at the time to realize that all the elves have a dragon in their army, but Imrik was the first dragon model I saw and I was hooked on the High Elves (I'm a big dragon nerd). In addition, as calvary they had dragon princes. My choice on army was pretty much set for me. New to the hobby, and not wanting to spend too much money all at once on Warhammer (this idea is laughable now in retrospect), I bought the High Elf book, HE battalion and of course, Imrik. I reluctantly placed the dragon princes back on the shelf for a future date...which happened to be about a year and a half later.

I didnt know much about the rules then, but being the old model airplane builder that I was, I knew how to start manufacturing and painting my force. I quickly started assembling my HE spearmen and archers. I went to my friend's house and began learning the basic rules of the game. In one night I had memorized enough to be able to play on my own. However, after about five months of inactivity I packed my guys in the box and put them under my bed.

About a year after that date, and with the help of a supportive girlfriend, bless her little heart, I began to wonder about my choice to end the hobby. Needless to say, I began again.

I began to paint my army again and began buying more units from a nice site in Canada (until this last fall when toilet paper is valued more than the American dollar...but wasnt it always? biggrin.gif) and from ToyWiz. Although my units are not all painted...not to mention that half of it isnt even assembled yet, I am now the proud owner of a large force of High Elves. I have a playable force of each HE unit other than the chariots and white lions at the moment. Of the characters and lords I just need Tyrion (I dont know why I dont have him at this point), the new direct exclusive noble, and the new lords and archmages (including those riding on the dragons). After Disney World this summer I will be working on completing my force.

I also have helped to buy my brother a moderately sized Bretonnian army. Once he is finished painting his models he will be able to play 2250 pt battles.

When it comes to gaming I can put up an army of 2999 using the rules strictly from the pages of the rulebook (since Silver Helms are now a special choice I have only two core units). I am very interested in playing against other armies and their generals. Because I have played mostly against my brother's army we have used our own set of house rules, but I learn quick so my transition to other rules should be swift.

It seems that nobody else has started or is thinking about starting a HE force on this forum so if you want to try your army against the haughty elves I am always game. I work during the week so a Saturday or Sunday would be when I would be available to play.

Hi,
My name is Steve.
I started historical gaming many, many years ago.
About six years ago my son and Blacknights son Crunk became interested in Warhammer 40k. I became interested in the 40k universe. I now have about 2000 points of Blood Angels as well as 1500 points of Tyranids. My current project is a Relictors space marine army that is not finished but is about ready to play. It contains a radical Inquisitor and Demon Hosts. The Relictors number over 2000 points. I have only played a few games so am not expert in the rules.. So any games I play would require some patience on my opponents part.
Look forward to Battle!
