About the character
Appearance: Gia stands two inches shorter than her twin sister, Lynx Silverhawk, at 5’3”. She has long blonde hair, hazel eyes and a slim figure. Gia isn’t as much into fashion as her sister, but she still likes to look nice and dress accordingly for her body type. She wears comfortable, but stylish clothes, though she doesn’t care wear her clothes come from. (In other words, she doesn’t know who the top fashion designers are, but picks out her clothes based on how they look, not who they are by) Gia always looks nice and pulled together. Strengths: Gia’s biggest strength is in the arts. She loves to perform and be on stage. She loves drama and is good at acting, but has more of a passion for music. The piano and the drums are her favorite to play, however she also knows how to play the violin and the guitar. She has a beautiful singing voice, but she is better with her other instruments. Academically, the only thing she is really good at is math. She loves it because it can relate to music in a way. She has a good sense of humor, but also knows when to get serious and she’s good at debating and usually wins her arguments. Gia is also a kind and generous person with a big heart and loves helping others. Weaknesses: When it comes to academics, Gia isn’t the best. She isn’t great at focusing in classes and keeping her schoolwork in order, so she has to work hard at it. She took a very different path from the rest of her family with performing arts and while she is great at that, she’s stumped with the literary arts. Though she was raised bilingual, she finds it difficult to pick up any other languages. Besides math, she has to try pretty hard to keep her grades up. She is also too blunt for her own good. Sometimes she says things that are just too honest. She doesn’t know when to get out of situations and is way too stubborn. Personality: (1 paragraph/5 lines) Gia is a realist. She likes to see everything as it is. She has big dreams, but she doesn’t like to kid herself and get too far ahead the game. She’s scared of failing at what she wants to do in life and not getting what she so desperately desires. She loves music the most and wants to do something with it, but she gets scared that she won’t be able to do everything, so she tries her hardest most of the time. See, in reality, Gia can tend to slack off, so she tries to make sure that she doesn’t. However, when she really gets involved in something it’s almost impossible for her to slack off. She actually gets too involved sometimes. She goes a little overboard with her music and can tend to stay up all night working on different pieces she wants to do. She sometimes needs someone to make her step back and see that she needs to give it a rest.
Gia isn’t always too good with people. When she makes friends she is very loyal and will do mostly anything for them. However, it’s not keeping them she has trouble with. It’s not the Gia is anti-social, but she just doesn’t like a lot of the people she meets. She really can’t stand the girls that constantly have a need to say “Oh my God!” every two seconds for absolutely no reason. She’s a very straight on person who likes to get to the point and doesn’t like to waste time, so she normally works alone on projects, schoolwork and her music. She likes everything to be the way she wants it to be and usually thinks she is making the right decision. This attitude normally comes off as if she is insulting people, but the truth is she just wants to make sure everything goes well for herself and for her friends, which isn’t always obvious. Gia knows this about herself, which is why she tries to contain the need to control situations. She’s very stubborn and that’s very apparent to everyone. Hobbies: Gia has many hobbies. Her favorite thing to do is play the piano. She also loves writing music, whether it’s lyrics to a new song or just some improvisation on any of her instruments. However, she has other hobbies than her music. Gia loves to collect old movies. Not only does she enjoy watching them, but she really enjoys watching the actors and studying their acting so she can become better in drama. She also loves talking to her friends and her sister. She loves activities too. She rides her bike, swims and plays a lot of different sports. (Mostly not on teams, but just for fun) Pet (optional): Though Gia loves animals, she doesn’t have one. She is too busy with her studies to take care of an animal on top of everything else. History of The Character: (minimum 2 paragraphs) After Gia’s parents, Daniel and Diane Silverhawk, met in London when one of Daniel’s books was being translated, they began dating and three years later they got married. Daniel is a writer and Diane a translator, though she used to be an editor. They had two twin daughters, one of them being Gianna Lesley Silverhawk. She didn’t share a love of the literary arts, unlike her fraternal twin sister, Lynx Silverhawk, but put all of her attention into the performing arts. Ever since she was a little girl, Gia has loved music and acting. She was always more into music, but acting was a fun hobby for her. Gia also shares a very strong bond with her sister and they constantly have long discussions with one another and whether or not it’s about boys or wars they always have plenty to say. From how they should cut a Barbie dolls hair to how the President should run France, their debating topics have varied as they’ve grown, but there is always something to debate about though usually they have the same views. Gia debated with her sister while growing up in France because their mother wanted to further her career as a translator, which was good for the girls because they grew up bilingually and love France.
Since Gia never loved literature like the rest of her family, her parents never really knew how to relate to her. They knew she loved music, but neither had any musical talent and didn’t know where to start. So, when she was little, they got her one of those small keyboards that you can walk around with. She loved it so much and never parted from it. She also loved movies. She would recite lines from different movies she saw from the age of 4. Her parents got her a bunch of movies and CD’s, but they noticed that she was never interested in anything academically. However, they did get her to love math by relating it to music. In elementary school, though, she didn’t get the best of grades because she could never sit still. She was always living in a fantasy world and sang songs in class, and performed parts of kid’s movies she had seen plenty of times. As she got a little older, her parents got her to focus more and she became involved in sports. They didn’t want her entire life to be based on music and movies. They got her involved in football and she loved it. This is where she got all of her energy out. Gia’s parents their hands’ quite full with her and on top of that her sister, who was always very different from Gia.
Gia later goes to Parker-West school in London with Lynx where she is hard working and still is with her sister. She never makes a ton of friends in school and likes to keep to herself. She studies music and acting there as well as the normal studies. Gia has always loved her life at Parker-West and still does. She works hard, gets good grades and she is always practicing her music. She now knows how to play the drums, the piano, the guitar and the violin. She never goes anywhere without sheet music stuffed into a giant purse where she keeps the rest of her essentials.
