Necromancy is a recent anime series which is being produced in Romania by Painted Wolf Studios. The story takes place in a sci fi fantasy universe called Say'ar, a solar system in which there are two diffrent inhabited planets: Sindarien and Alakar. Sindarien is inhabited by the four human races Sayh, Shien, Sarryd and Si'rrath and Alakar is inhabited by three vampyre races (vampyres have the ability to drain humans' Mana, killing them this way): Thu'ad, Hath'ad and Nosferatu.
Vampyres are far more advanced tehnologicaly and necromanticaly than humans, but much fewer in numbers. The two species have fought many wars against each other, with no conclusive result.
The series presents the story of Kai, a 24 years old Sayh fisherman, whose village is raided by vampyres one day and he discoveres his necromancer abilities and his wraith servant, a white wolf named Sunder. Instinctively using his Shifter rune, he teleports himself away from the attack and is found by a Shien woman called Aryah. She has the appearance of a 13 years old girl with black hair and blue eyes, but she realy is 142 years old (the Shien can live up to 400 years but do not age fizicaly after 13-14 years old). She is the leader of one of the many necromancer guilds that are in the service of the king of Sindarien (the guild is called Sylverblade). She heals Kai's wounds and recruits him into the guild. (There have been only 2 episodes so far, I am sorry I can't tell you any more details, but I'll have to watch more episodes before I can)

Necromancy is my second favorite anime series after Bleach. The characters and the Story are great, the fights are spectacular and the european influences mix up with the anime stile very good. My favorite characters in the series are Kai and Aryah, because of their runes and wraith servants (Kai's white wolf Sunder and Aryah's Sheeba, a winged black wolf)
