Okay, I got an idea that's bullet proof! >=(. This time I'll be providing you guys with info of progress we've made throughout the week. Other staff members can include any progress they've made as well. In any case by the end of the week I'll have some sort of report for you guys. For the Logs themselves, check on the posts below.To make up for it here is some of the things already implented in the game that I'll give you for now. I'll possibly come back and include some screenshots later on. ======================= Combat System After careful thinking we came up with a pretty decent and unique combat system for the game. You have 4 different meter stats, Health, Endurance, Blood, and Defense. All of these are listed in percentages, through training and fighting, they can be raised obviously. Health: Total percentage of Health and Endurance left. Endurance: Blunt Damage meter pretty much, all non sharp attacks drain at this. Blood: All sharp attacks drain at this. Defense: Starts at 100% and blocks the first attack you take by that much. However, it also drains by the amount of damage it takes. In which case, it begins to block by the percentage it has. IE, a 50% meter blocks 50% of the damage. You can also block every so often, with a delay each time of course, but doing so will automatically knock off 50% of the damage you recieve. After hitting 0%, your guard will break, leaving blunt attacks to knock you around and sharp attacks to stun you, all doing 100% damage of course. A perfect time to get some special techniques on someone and deplenish their health. Depending on how you time your attacks, also determines what your chances of a succesful hit is. Keep fighting until you figure out what's right for you. Your chances of success depend on your weapons, fighting style, and timing, so figure out what's best. Different weapons and fighting styles also determine your attack speed. We're trying to keep leveling hard, though we know some people won't really enjoy that, hehheh. In any case, through training your stats (Which are leveled seperately through different training exercises), you can raise both your attack speed and hit rate, so don't think you'll be slow forever. That covers the major parts of the attack system that we have in, I'm currently figuring out how to make techniques and transformations more exciting, have fun with that. ======================= Small Boats Okay, we all know ships have been debated in the past, but what about the old small boats for our own personalized sailing?! They're in as well obviously, instead of the ships system though, you sail right there on the map on your wooden boat, waver, or whatever your using. Steering depends on the model your using, but seeing as we only have small wooden boats so far, I'll just tell you how those sail. Go to the steering tab, choose steer, click north, south, east, or west and there's your turn! These small wooden boats are rather small though but are definetly fun none the less and won't eat your stamina like swimming! ======================= Fishing Correct, we've also included fishing. After buying yourself a fishing kit, filling it with some bait, and having a pole ready you can start getting yourself some meat straight from the sea! Wait till it bumps into you and then real that baby in through quickly clicking the options ordered. Careful of the various results of what can happen when you loose however. Or hey, maybe it will cough up a small bag of gold...nah. ======================= Cooking Unlike some other talents, this is one we actually have down. Get some food that needs cooking, find your appliance, provide the food and begin cooking. ======================= Fighting Classes Through using your stance points, which are a total of 10 under normal standards, you can begin learning different fighting styles from teachers through doing their tedious tasks and challanges. These classes allow you to rank up for a max of 3 times, each time costing a stance point higher than before. Through entering this stance, any moves or perks become activated. We've managed to get in some swords for swordsmen, staffs for bandits with daggers on their way, and before continuing on with marksmanship(Which has a pretty neat system as well mind you) we'll be getting some gun icons first ehehheh. In any case those just deals with the weapons, but there are some non weapon fighting classes as well as some non weapon dealing perks of course. Anyway there's probably more stuff I'm excluded at the moment, so excuse me for that hehheh. Anyway expect a progress report at the end of the week from us guys. -Roronoa Zoro(Charlesg154)

10/23/2007 I already milked out quite a bit of combat in the earlier post it seems I can't cheapshot my way through this log hehheh. In any case I'm currently working on combat oriented stuff, updating the enemy ai's intelligence a bit, and trying to plan a system for techniques. Today I spent time trying to work with marksmanship. Sadly it didn't go to well as I didn't get to fix the current problems I was having with it. The aiming itself is working out great, but the shooting isn't going to well. I asked Gohan if he could take a look and try to fix these blasted problems. On a side note, here's a screen of what is successful, I don't wanna give away the whole system until it's done but let your imaginations do the rest.
 Hurrah. In any case I am now deciding on another issue to work on in the meantime, wish me luck! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ah update on that. After browsing over what needed to be done decided to a bit more 'planning' rather than coding. Recently I've been meaning to update the AI's intelligence and only touched on it here and there when I needed to. However I just finished up a little wordpad file as always to plan out exactly how I want it to work so I can get to coding on that. Going to do a small staff review tomorrow to get some opinions and suggestions and then start coding it in. So er, expect me to be working on coding that tomorrow. Night.

Oh, its not that kinda log. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway,Im allways last to find out about these kinda things (the logs) because i usualy get offline first because i'm limited to a certain time a night. But anyway. As you may or may not know im not the most active member of the staff as far as the forums are concerned (though there are plenty of staff members that almost never post). So i'll try my best to do the daily journal. Also, at the end of the week (either day on the weekend) I'll also include what i plan to do in the upcoming week. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This week ill continue working on ships (ive been working on it for a while). With our fancy new system, it'll be a great step towards release. And i also plan on working on Navigatior class because it goes hand and hand with ships. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today: -Changed the popup ship movment to a html ship movment. (to avoid possible popup bugs as seen on other games) -Working on the index for ships. (Because Zoro likes coding nice, neat, and organized) -Completed Minship (for viewing only) movement. And all it needs is to be made to only work on the sea, and to be adjusted to Navigation related stuff(i'll do this when i work on navigation after ships.) -Got an image for you guys to see how the miniship would look like...

agreed this "log" is awsome now i can careful catch u all of guard when u think its save to not log il pop up outside ur house and scream"BOGAGAGA"and post here Do not stop "log"ehem.. THE "LOG" i meant and thats right i know where you live nad where you was last summer!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- pride Log: Week 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is going to be my first log since if pretty much started iconing some stuff for this game since last week. right Now All ive been doing is making clothes for the female base.( after all they need clothes to  ) right now im making the nami clothes. Since i started out last weekend, All if done is icon the clothes on the base ( 20 frames) and Ive finnished the moving state just now. I know it doesnt sound like much but iconing clothes is realy time conesuming.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- pride Log: Week 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- finnished the basic icon states of nami outfit. walking swiming moving etc. And Started working on a sogeking outfit ( mask ) And I started To work on the dojo outfit so players can wear it as well.
