"Yes, I'm an angel. He's a demon and your a whatever you are because you don't smelll human." Americe snapped at Lin, her eyes focused on the demon. She swallowed and knew she had to keep a clear head. This wasn't going to help her win Lin' trust.
"All he wants to do is take care of you, Americe. Why won't you let him?" The demon asked advancing on her and Lin. "You won't hurt the humans any more then you have too."
"Tell me, you rehearse that in a mirror. Liar, Liar." Americe cut off. "Arioch normally sells it better then that. Maybe you should try the lip thing." She was silenced when the demon hit her in the face. Fallling to the side, Americe's head bounced off of a rock and she saw stars. Arioch's friends were stronger then she thought but currently her own concern was Lin and the demon.
The demon wasn't interested in Americe for a moment. "Another angel?" He asked brushing Lin's hair away from her face. Tightening his grip, the demon yanked her head back. "Two for the price of one. Arioch would definately like this treat."
"Leave her alone," Americe snapped. Forcing herself up, Americe felt the demon kick her in the stomach and again the angel's skull met the same rock. Her mojo was gone, mainly for the abrupt exposing herself to Lin and now the demon had his sights on taking her as a tribute as well to Arioch.

ooc: so, i don't know if lin's little charisma power would work on a demon, so i'll leave that to you. in favor of it, kelpies belong to a folklore in place before christianity, so there's a chance that it might. on the other hand, it's not particularly strong--it can be resisted, particularly if you know what to look for or you're particularly alert, so maybe it wouldn't. if you're not sure, we could just pick a happy medium and have it distract him for a moment. she still has her horse form to fall back on and, if she's particularly desperate, she can offer americe a quick trade to banish him temporarily, or whatever. Lin wasn't easily ruffled, and let Americe's snappish remark slide. She hardly noticed--the situation had suddenly gotten considerably more interesting, given that she'd just met an angel and a demon, two things she'd never encountered. Though she knew next to nothing about their powers, she wasn't particularly worried. She was in her element, after all.
Lin watched their exchange, head cocked curiously until the demon snapped and flung Americe into a rock. Though the angel had disturbed her peace and quiet, she didn't feel any animosity towards her, after their brief discussion. Americe was interesting and unique, two qualities that Lin held in high esteem. She narrowed her eyes slightly--she wasn't finished with Americe, and this demon wasn't going to destroy her before she was done.
She nearly laughed as the demon called her an angel--she was hardly a holy being, and she'd have likely told him so had he not tugged sharply on her hair. Hurting her valuable source of information was one thing, but Lin would not take abuse towards her. She seethed as he kicked the angel, gathering her bearings.
Lin cleared her throat and licked her lips, nearly burning with rage. Nobody touched her like that and got away with it, demon or not. She fluttered her eyelashes and turned up the charm, a peculiar combination of glamour and something unique to kelpies--she only knew it for what it was, and had never really considered what made it work.
"Oh, stop that," she said, voice like silk. "Come with me, I've something far more interesting to show you."
She took a couple steps backwards towards the lake, testing her effect on him.

It had been a while since she'd fed--though luring the demon had started off as revenge, the idea was quite promising. The demon would get out of her hair, she'd be satiated for a good amount of time and she'd finally know what it was like to consume another creature--though she assumed that the body was more of a vehicle to the demon, Lin wasn't sure if he'd be able to evacuate the body under her glamour. Learning knew things was almost as delicious as she suspected his body would be.
He followed her unquestioningly, his expression almost beatific. Lin laughed at his statement, the sound akin to a bubbling brook.
"I wouldn't take it that far," she said, voice light. Her expression was clearly amused as she crooked a finger, urging him to continue after her. "We've only just met, after all. Tell me more about Arioch--he sounds interesting. I would love to know more."
She had backed herself up to the water, the lake lapping at her heels. She could keep him here momentarily until he'd exhausted his usefulness and then devour him. Though Americe might have started out as an annoyance, she'd have to thank the angel afterward--she'd provided much amusement and had even delivered a meal right into Lin's lap.
Lin cast a quick glance over the demon's shoulder to where Americe was and smiled at her--it was her attempt to assuage any protests she might have. Lin was fine, the demon was--well, not fine, perhaps, but certainly distracted enough that he was no longer a danger--and Americe seemed to be holding up all right, even with the nasty scratch on her forehead.
She took a couple more steps backward. Her feet sank into the soft, muddy earth beneath the water's surface as she beckoned the demon to follow her. "Come on," she said softly, "you can tell me as we walk."

A couple more steps backward, and the water was up to her knees, the edges of her dress trailing in the water. The wet threads began to unravel, shifting back to threads of gossamer to float atop the lake.
Lin noticed Americe's expression--she didn't look particularly happy with this turn of events--and hoped it wasn't going to cost her a meal. She sighed and turned her attention back to the demon, expression suddenly dark.
"You," she said, snapping her fingers. "Sleep, now. There, behind the reeds."
He tottered off obediently, settling himself into the cattails that sprouted from the bank. Perhaps she'd question him more later. Even if the information he offered wasn't valuable, it was interesting. Lin would have liked to know more about demons, how they worked and what their powers were. They might even be a valuable ally to have, at some point--but then, an angel might be, as well.
Lin sighed, checking to be sure that the demon had followed her orders (he had--he was snoozing contentedly in the cattails) before heading back towards Americe. Her smile had a tinge of bitterness to it, but it was genuine. "There," she said, making a show of brushing imaginary dust from her hands. "All taken care of. So, where were we? Ah, right. You're an angel, he's a demon, and things have suddenly gotten a hell of a lot more interesting around here."
She crossed her arms lightly over her chest. "He'll be fine for a while, I'll wake him if we need him. All I know about angels and demons is the really typical stuff--which," she said, casting an appraising glance at Americe's shoulders, "you don't have any wings that I see, so to what degree is that true? And why were they, as he so charmingly put it, 'seeing if you were part holy lizard?' I'm willing to answer your questions, too--fire away."

Lin got the impression that Americe wasn't pleased, to say the least. She felt a little puff of pride, at that--she'd never really frightened anyone like that before (she'd never shown off her powers to another person that she didn't plan on eating, come to think of it) and the power was intoxicating. But Americe had information, and Lin had never really been the type to seek power. Too much to do and not enough of a payoff to warrant it. She liked being her own boss, but bossing other people around was entirely too much of a bother.
"Ooh, tetchy, eh?" Her smile was neither mirthless nor particularly warm. "Didn't mean to frighten you, but he was annoying and it's been a while since I've eaten."
Lin resisted the urge to punctuate her remark by licking her lips, pinching the edges of her dress between two fingers and bending one knee in a slight curtsy. "Sheelin Liffey Moore," she said, "there's a story behind that, but what you're probably more interested in is that I'm a kelpie. Don't know if you heavenly types know much about us, anymore--it's an old Gaelic word, means 'water sprite.'"
Lin paused, thinking up the most important things Americe would be likely to ask about--contrary to what she'd expected, she almost liked her and didn't want to be put in a position that would require she take a less friendly route.
"My kind live in lakes and other bodies of water. We have two forms--one human, one horse. Yes, we eat humans, but no, we don't do it often. I'm not sure how many of us there are, anymore. We have the ability to bend weak-minded people to our will--sheer stubbornness as well as knowledge about what you're doing will get you out of it pretty easily. Let's see--oh, I do trades. You offer me something nice enough, I'll grant a wish. You can always tell a kelpie," she turned her back to the angel, lifting a section of copper hair from her shoulders, "from the bit of seaweed they have tangled in their hair." Sure enough, a few slick pieces of seaweed were knotted at the nape of her neck.
Lin turned around to face Americe again, crossing her arms over her chest. She kept the indecipherable smile on her face as she said, "Does that about cover it? I've no immediate plans to hurt you and, to be honest, now that you know my little secret my chances of succeeding if I try to glamour you are pretty low. But I haven't tried this far, I don't even know if it would have worked in the first place--I'm being serious when I say that all I wanted out of this was conversation." Lin paused, casting an appraising glance at the cattails towards the sleeping demon. "The potential snack was just a bonus, promise."

“Eaten?” Americe squeaked. This wasn't happening. She wasn't hearing all this. Kelpie yes cool, interesting. Americe wanted to know more but the way the girl was. “You. Eat. People!” Americe snapped finally getting her head around that.
A hand went up and the angel took a step back. “Listen Linnie, as much as I'd say yes you can eat him mainly because he's a pain in my ass along with Arioch, you could eat him too if you wanted, but the demon is just an entity. The flesh and gooey chewy center that I think you love so much is human. You can't eat a human being. There are people that stop that. Seriously, you wanna survive to see more years and more angels, go vegan.”
Her brain was still processing everything else Lin had told her. Trades? Wishes? Those rang something different in Americe's mind. Deals. She was sounding like a crossroads demons Like your brother.
“I don't need this from you right now, Harvey.” She whispered as she massaged her head. This wasn't happening. She couldn't handle meeting something that ate her humans. Of course that was her luck. Now did she have to go hunter on her and kill her? Americe hoped not. She'd have to keep the secret that there was this kelpie wandering around and well Americe didn't like secrets. She kept one from Balthazar in New Orleans and now she was on the run. Even from her brother.
“You can't eat him. Kick the demon out yes, but eat him no. People find a dead body and they'll ask questions. The wrong people will ask questions. My siblings, one of my brothers, will ask questions and he probably won't be as nice as I am.” Americe's hand went through her hair. “You shouldn't do deals....you shouldn't...”
“Get a job at Wal-mart and swim in streams it's safe for you.”
OOC: Linnie....That's Lin's nickname. But if it helps Americe never reveals her name around hunters. She becomes a secret friend.

"Yes," Lin replied simply, face expressionless. "Only once or twice per year, but yes, I do." She found Americe's apparent horror intriguing--surely a non-human would understand?
She raised a curious eyebrow, expression still unreadable. "Perhaps that's true, about the demon. I wouldn't know. But I can't stop eating humans--I would die. They are my only possible food source. And those that wish to kill me are welcome to try. Many of my kind have perished. I have not." She paused. "It is as much a part of my nature to eat humans as it is their nature to eat animals and plants. It is a difference in diet, that is all. And I might add that eating one or two pales in comparison to the human habit of devouring and destroying everything they see."
Americe's discomfort was obvious. Lin supposed it had something to do with being an angel; she recalled some bit of information that angels could sometimes act as guardians. Perhaps that was how Americe saw herself, as a guardian and protector of humans. Lin could live with that--she saw herself as a guardian and protector of her kind, as well as the various lakes and other bodies of water she inhabited.
"Well," she said, slowly, a small smile spreading across her face, "if we're being honest, there likely wouldn't be much of anything left to find."
Though she understood her dislike for eating humans, her hangup on deal was a little more confusing for Lin. Americe seemed to have trouble dealing with things that were as much a part of Lin as her two forms.
"But why?" she asked, her expression bordering on amused. "You serve your God, you champion the human race, you flap your mighty wings, and I make deals. I can not change my nature, just like any other creature. I am what I am, just like you."

Americe sputtered like a dying car as she listened to Lin's reasoning. Sure dying was a very VERY bad thing particularly when it sounded like her race was nearing the level of being around like that of the dodo but still the angel couldn't wrap her head around eating humans. It was like she had just met a real living breathing Hannibal Lector. That had to be it. The girl looked like a human.
To make certain of it, Americe reached out slowly and poked the kelpie's arm. She felt human too. “We-but-Yeah-but. This- just,” Americe had hit nearly everything but a few verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Swallowing, the angel of communications tried to speak again. “We—Well me, I—my brothers, well not all of them. Most of them. Several of them.”
She was floundering. It might as well have been her in the water there instead of the demon. Americe ran a hand through her hair and her brow furrowed. “You're making it sound like you're eating his liver with a nice Chianti and some beans!” She finally got out. “Even in the movies, humans find eating humans wrong.” She shook her head trying to get the image Anthony Hopkins out of her head.
But she wasn't the one to talk about survival. Americe was living as a human to survive. She had forsaken her life as an angel, ran from Balthazar instead of admitting to him that she had told Castiel where the weapons where. She hadn't told Castiel that she had demon after her and now she was faced with a kelpie who had saved her life and was going to eat the demon who had been sent to take her back to Arioch.
Americe was willing to forget all of the human eating, as hard as that was, when Lin mentioned the topic of 'being just like her'. “You have no idea what I am!” She snapped stepping towards the kelpie. “No idea, kelpie!” The angel glared at her. “No idea what I've been through, what's been done to me, what I've seen or what I've had to give up. So you and me we are nothing alike. Got it? Never compare us again.”
ooc: I haven't forgotten Chris and Nat either, I seriously thought I answered these two and then realized this morning I hadn't. *Facepalm* I'm sooo sorry! I'll have one for you later today!

ooc: no worries! work has been super busy and exhausting this week, so this is my first opportunity to reply. i don't mind. (: lin is a bit sassy and long-winded today, phew. Lin tried not to smile--the urge was strong, as she found Americe's reaction amusing. She was so quick to protect humans (though, she reminded herself, that was likely a part of her 'programming,' for lack of a better word), but in the same breath she could tell Lin that they'd kill her for what she was without a moment's hesitation. The hypocrisy amazed her. Humans considered themselves to be the paragon of sentience, the beings by which all creatures should be measured, but they were always so hung up on the concepts of vengeance and, to an annoying extent, morality. Lin pitied them, in a way--they lived a life constrained by too many rules, some self-imposed, some forced by their society. Perhaps that was why they felt the need to be so destructive.
She raised her eyebrows in confusion as the angel poked her in the arm. Lin had always thought angels were ethereal, eternally graceful creatures--she'd never imagined one at a loss for words.
Lin couldn't help it; she had to laugh as Americe compared her to Hannibal Lector. She nearly doubled over, covering her mouth with her hand as if that would stop the angel from seeing that Lin found her comparison completely ludicrous. "But I'm not a human," she said, upon composing herself. "This isn't my only form, it's just what I use when I'm talking to humans. They don't really react well to talking with a bloody huge black horse. I guess it might be a little strange that I look like my prey, but then, I suspect that that isn't your true form, either." She squinted, appraising Americe's appearance. "Whose body are you squatting in, then?"
Her eyes widened at the angel's outburst, and she crossed her arms delicately over her chest. "Fair enough, but I'll thank you to have the same courtesy and not presume to tell me how to live my life, angel. You don't know what it's like to be one of a dwindling number. Your kind, you--" her expression darkened as she looked the angel up and down, "the angels, and the demons and your God and your Jesus and everything, your followers worship you daily. Do you understand the kind of toll it takes when nobody believes, anymore?"
Lin waved a dismissive hand. "Of course you don't. People used to be frightened of my kind. They would leave gifts. They respected us. They wouldn't build in an area if they thought it would disturb our kind. And sure, it's much easier to eat now that nobody worries that I might be a kelpie trying to lure them off, but that doesn't mean that things are easier."
She uncrossed her arms, running her fingers through her hair and shaking loose some of the water. "Instead of lecturing me about what comes naturally, perhaps you might speak to your human friends about respecting not only me, but their own habitat." Lin shrugged. "Or not. Let them drive themselves and everyone else to extinction. Perhaps things would be better that way."

OOC: Again, Apologies and thank you for being so understanding. Like I said in the PM, next time. Just whack me! I may even send back a really funny reply before replying to the post (and you'll be doing me a massive favor) I've discovered if I put on Disturbed's Perfect Insanity, Americe just flows so sorry this got wordy.
The fact that the kelpie desired to laugh sent Americe sputtering like a dying car when it came to her forming a reply. She was on the run from Balthazar and this thing ate humans. Well maybe in the long run she'd eat Balthazar but she was more afraid that it would find him more interesting and up his alley. Balthazar after all didn't seem to have the qualms about humanity like she did. Yes, she wasn't human. “Then why are you hiding as one!” Americe finally blurted out. “If you're so proud of what you do and what you are, why not stay in your true form and munch away til you've got like six rolls?” She inquired.
What drove the angel insane was the fact that while the kelpie was horrifying her, eating her human, she still interested her. Perhaps it was because all Americe had met before were demons and now this girl had single handedly defeated a demon that was chasing her. She deserved to have some ounce of gratitude not a lecture but humans were special to her. They were her father's creation. Americe had been the first to bow to them when her father had ordered it and how many times had she sat with her brother, Ramiel, and just watched them. Now to know that something was eating them. She wanted to protect them but she wanted to as poke it and see if was real.
Teyah Malone's reply would have been simple. Hunt. Kill. Protect the humans. That was the hard part of being two different people, three if you counted Harvey really, in one body. Americe wanted to learn from it. Teyah wanted to kill it. Harvey, for Father's sake, Harvey wanted to see what human meat actually tasted like since Lin brought it up. She rubbed her temple as the mental demon mentioned that they could sneak a taste, just a simple taste when Lin wasn't looking and they could see what was the big hub bub with the cannibals Americe enjoyed visiting so much as well. The cannibals that weren't cannibals but allowed her to stay with them when ever she was on the small island and treated her like they were part of the tribe though apparently they were very secretive.
“Some one who wouldn't like you very much,” Americe fired back to Lin's remarks about 'squatting' in her vessel. “She is a devout woman. That's all you need to know. We're not like demons...we don't force ourselves into our vessels. We don't rape them by taking them as our vessels. They allow us in.” Americe felt slightly awkward telling Lin that. She rarely mentioned much about her relationship with Teyah Malone, mainly because of what they went through in hell but she was still very into defending Teyah. They shared a strong link because of Alastair and that was that. Lin would never know though, she wasn't going to tell her if she asked about it. Americe had only told one other about it and that had blown up in her face. He was hunting her now and if she mentioned too much to Lin then if Balthazar crossed paths with her that information could be used against her.
Americe glanced at her feet. “You're eating my father's creations.” Americe grumbled at Lin. “I have a right to get a little angry.” She argued. There was a quick glance at Lin before Americe sighed. “I'm sorry,” She fired. “Humans are important to me. My father created them and they are dear to me just like they are to most of my siblings.” A lie, Uriel saw them as Mud Monkeys. Balthazar had called them more than once Hairless Apes when he thought she wasn't listening. “Actually yeah I do. How about when none of your family believes that you were in any danger at all and the sibling they thought was suppose to be watching out for you actually threw you under the bus. Then when he was finally caught red handed no one came looking for you. You just stopped existing? So maybe I do know what it feels like. Just a bit!”
Americe's arms crossed over her chest and her head tilted to the side. “I'll do that and raise you.” She stated using the poker terms. “For the fact that you saved my life from a demon wanting to take me away, I'll never mention your name to anyone. Who you are is a secret. If some one says there's a kelpie I'll keep my mouth shut about what ever you're doing. I'll never mention your name or what you look like.” She raised an eyebrow. “How do you like them apples. You get to have your environmental cake and eat the privacy cake too.”

ooc: No problem at all. I've been so busy with work and stuff that I can't really hound anybody about posting because I'd be a huge hypocrite, but next time I'll be sure to let you know if a bunch of time goes by. (: Lin resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the angel's outburst. Clearly she'd touched a nerve. "I suppose you say the same thing to chameleons?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "This form isn't some kind of glamour or projection; it's a defense mechanism, or a method of attracting prey, whichever I need it to be. I was born with both forms--one human, one horse. This is as much my 'true form' as my other is, and this one just happens to make it easier to communicate. And, for your information, I have no need to 'munch away until I have six rolls.' I eat once or twice a year. I suppose I could gorge myself," she added, with more than a hint of derision, "but as we've already discussed, I place some pride in my not being human and emulating them kind of goes against what I stand for, wouldn't you think?"
This hadn't been quite what Lin had expected from an angel. Though she knew little about Americe's kind, she hadn't expected such a vigilant defense of humanity on an angel's part--after all, wasn't there some aspect of jealousy, given that their god had created angels, and then sort of ignored them in favor of man? But then, Lin supposed, that hadn't worked out well for the angel who'd chosen to speak out, had it? She scrutinized Americe from behind large blue eyes, wondering if her staunch defense of humanity was some kind of overcompensation for a deep-seated jealousy. After a moment, she decided that probably wasn't it--Americe's defense seemed genuine, almost as if she had a personal investment. Lin filed that thought away for later, wondering what kind of personal connection an angel might have with humanity.
"That's nice and all," Lin said, feeling antagonistic, "but don't you suppose she might like it back, eventually? I would think she'd like it intact, too--not riddled with holes, beaten, burnt or otherwise disfigured." She paused. "Come to think of it, where does she go, while you're riding about in her? Is she somewhere at the back of your mind, sitting, twiddling her thumbs while you go about your angel business, running from demons and the like?" Lin's smile was dangerous, a step away from taunting. She shrugged, "Just wondering."
"I suppose you do have a right to get angry, at that," Lin admitted, though her tone did not falter. "But I also have the right to defend my kind. Do you believe I was created by your god? If I was, why, then, would he make a creature that consumes his most prized creation? If not, then why should I follow his rules?" She paused, tilting her head to the side. "Surely you see my predicament. I must eat to live, and no creature but man satisfies the hunger. All things considered, eating one or two people per year isn't so bad, don't you think?"
She listened patiently to Americe's story. "And here I thought you celestial types were supposed to be flawless. But yes, I suppose you do have some idea of what it's like, although your family's dismissal of you isn't quite the same as a systematic denial spanning centuries. But we can agree, then, that things are tough when no one believes in you, when you have nowhere to turn but towards yourself. We have to look out for ourselves," she explained, "because nobody else will."
Lin inclined her head slightly in response--both as a gesture of thanks, and as a show of trust. She didn't think that the angel meant her immediate harm, but expressing that trust certainly wouldn't hurt her case. "I thank you for that," she said, simply. "I appreciate your understanding that I am not actively out to destroy the human race. I want to live, and that is all. If a human threatens my existence, I retaliate--my life does not revolve around killing every human I come across. Some of them are interesting, wonderful creatures. Some of them are horrible and destructive. As," she said, "I expect is true of most beings, including angels."

“Actually no,” Americe interjected quickly, defending chameleons. “I like them.” If that was a poke at her not liking the fact that Lin ate humans then the kelpie could guess all she wanted. Americe was an angel. Her father had created the humans to be perfect in his eyes and then told them to bow down and worship his new creation. Americe had been in the first group to do so. Hearing that something was eating them, other than her cannibals but they were reformed! They didn't eat humans any more!! Was something that she was having difficulty wrapping her angelic and tortured mind around. Harvey was playing tennis with the idea of having something eat humans and of course he was chiming in with the questions of Does it really taste like chicken? You think she'd be that attractive of a red head if she had the six rolls from the mud monkeys you want her eat? Americe chose not to answer both Lin or Harvey out of fear what they both would say. One clearly spurring on the other. The angel gave a half hearted shrug to her question. “I suppose,” Americe agreed and listened to Harvey laugh in her head.
The look Americe gave could probably make some one's blood run cold. “Teyah Malone would not twiddle her thumbs, Kelpie.” She warned. “We came to an agreement that my mission was more important than hers. When I am finished I'll return home and she'll go back to her life.” Americe feared that day actually but at the same time wanted it. Heaven would be some place wonderful if the fighting ever stopped. “Then I'm sure she'd love to meet you. Just like you'd love to meet her, and her gun.” Americe blinked with a small smile of her own. “She does not take kindly to creatures eating humans either. Be thankful I merely speak with you on the subject. She would not be so kind.” Americe chuckled though. “She'll be in pristine condition. We are not demons our vessels are healed permanently.” It was a lie. Teyah would have the scars on her body from hell. That had surprised Americe the most actually. When she finally had the courage to look and realize that they were there and she couldn't figure out why. She had wanted to ask Balthazar or maybe Castiel but never had the courage. Now she was alone and just didn't have the courage to ask anyone about it.
“Have you ever thought that maybe my father didn't make you?” Americe asked as she circled Lin examining the Kelpie. “There are two sides to this coin. Good and evil. My father loves mankind while Lucifer hates it. Maybe Lucifer created you.” She told Lin repeating what Harvey had told her to say. “Maybe that's why you need to eat people? Just to rub it in his face that you destroy his creations and yet do so because you want his adoration at the same time.” The angel shook her head in disgust. “It's a sad thought Linnie. Being made by Lucifer...evil and eating humans because you have to do it to survive.” She shrugged. “I think eating one is too much. Any of my siblings would probably agree so I wouldn't voice that with any of them if you happen to meet them. As for the rules...Break em. I'm breaking em by just talking with you seeing that you kill my father's creations.” There was a cheeky ass smile flashed before Americe moved past Lin, giving the other woman a wide enough birth to pass a semitruck through.
Americe stopped when Lin said suppose to be flawless. Harvey fell silent like even Lin had touched a nerve with him and Americe turned to face her slowly. Her blonde hair falling over her shoulder, Amerie swallowed as her eyes narrowed. Hell was different. She had spent months in hell which equaled decades of torture. Decades of dealing with Arioch and Alastair. Maybe that was why Alastair had so much time to create and implant Harvey in her head and to allow Harvey to grow into what he was. He had just grown and grown from nightmares and into the voice that he was. What would he become next? Something worse, Angel girlie Harvey informed her. But this thing has no idea....snap her neck and move on
Instead entertaining Harvey's comment, Americe rubbed her neck like she had a crick in it. “I'm far from flawless,” Americe answered. “I'm not perfect. I'm damaged.” She heard Harvey laugh again in her head. “And you're right. It's better to be alone at times. But there are members of my family that have had my back when I've needed them more than any one else.” Harvey's laugh died like he had suddenly choked on a piece of food and he sputtered. If Harvey had been a real person Americe would have allowed him to choke to death. She would have held a flower and tossed it onto his body right before the medical examiner took him away in the black body bag and then skipped off to get an ice cream cone like a six year old. “Maybe you just need to watch a few episodes of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood and learn how to be a good neighbor and make some friends.”
She had spoken sharply about Balthazar and Americe had meant it. Balthazar had taken her in when they had first met when he really didn't have too. He had clothed her, sheltered her, even employed her when Americe forced him too. But she was stupid and hadn't asked anything about what he was doing. Now thanks to Castiel telling her the truth, Americe was on the run from him. She wanted to be back with Balthazar, since it was safe with him, but clearly she doubted it wouldn't be that easy. Nothing could simply go back in the box that easy and having Balthazar know about Harvey was dangerous. What if Balthazar found a way to summon Harvey only. He had found a way to erase them sleeping together from her mind so why not just calling Harvey and bring Harvey to him for maybe a booty call or something like that. Americe swallowed
Centuries? Decades? Harvey inquired. Balthazar must have enjoyed the tango in the sheets that we did then. You did too of course. All that pent up frustrations and sexual tensions from the demon. So you took it out on Balthazar, he didn't mind of course. His vessel kept up, rather well with some one so young. And you? Screaming his name right when you- Americe coughed silencing Harvey from reminding her of what she had done, well what Harvey had done with Balthazar when they had been in New Orleans. She had trusted her brother and while yes she did love him, Americe never would admit that she cared for him like that. She would never have that relationship with with him. That was why she could never go back to him...even if she hadn't stolen the weapons from him with Castiel.
Americe nodded seeing the sign of trust and the angel chewed her lip. She wasn't going to give her own sign of thanks and trust seeing that she didn't trust the kelpie any farther than she could throw her, and she could throw pretty far, but Americe was still going to keep her word. Unlike some of her siblings when they said they were going to do something, Americe would. She had promised to protect Balthazar and she would. She had promised to help Castiel she would. Now she had promised to keep Lin a secret she would do that too. “I understand the desire to live,” Americe replied, “More than you may know.” She had escaped from hell to survive and to live without some one telling her what to do. Now she was trying to do the same on Earth alone. Live a life of nothing but absolute and complete freedom. “Yes, some angels are asses.” She lowered her eyes thinking of her brother, Ramiel and how he had left her in hell. He had betrayed her and left her there when he had sided with Uriel and abandoned her to the rack for decades of torture. “They claim to be allies or friends, the best brothers, but are dark and evil. Vile creatures.” She looked away not willing to go into any more detail. “You have my silence. Be thankful for it. People claim I have big mouth at times.”
OOC: You have no idea, how bad it was over here. There was this moment of me going like “Okay, Americe stop being so...AMERICE! Where did you learn to be so mean!” I also drew the line at going over two pages for this reply. Lord knows my angel could give more. She's so wordy. I don't know why she's gone and gotten wordy but she is.
