Synopsis: Bela has some information to trade to the Winchesters. Jo is asked along as a neutral party.

This whole thing was ridiculous.

Jo wasn't entirely sure what it even was about, except that Bela had evidently stolen something from Sam back in February and they were finally getting around to fighting about it. She had been tempted to side with the Winchesters on this, given her own experience with Bela stealing her belongings. But upon hearing that it was something they were planning on stealing that Bela just got to first her sympathy pretty much was reduced dramatically. Honestly, should have moved faster or something. Anyway, Bela had been the one to ask for her support, so that's who she was throwing it behind.

But if they were going to have this argument, they weren't going to play phone tag. Jo had just gotten to Bobby's when she got the call, and was definitely not about to turn around and head back out again just to meddle in issues she hadn't been around for. She'd told both Bela and the Winchesters to meet her at Singer Salvage – with the book in question – and they'd figure out the problem there.

Jo decided it was probably safer if they did this outside, rather than in Bobby's living room. It would tempt Bobby and Ellen to get involve. Sort out “the kids” and their problems for them. So she pulled some rusty chairs out of the mess in case anyone wanted to sit and put them in a shady area just off the drive. As the Winchesters and Bela arrived, she waved them over.

“Okay so, why are we fighting over a book?” she asked them when everyone was assembled. “You brought it, right?” Jo clarified with Bela.

Dean drove up to Bobby's place, wishing like hell he was just there to visit Bobby, instead of going in to settle a beef with Bela. Of course, if Bela had just let Sam take the book; they were going to use the information to save peoples' lives, not sell the book for at least ten grand, since she didn't get out of bed for less than, they wouldn't be in this mess four months later.

Of course, Bela also wouldn't be Bela if she didn't manage to get the drop on his Gigantor of a brother. Which, it still amused him to this day. He didn't tease Sam about it, because Bela had swindled worse from Dean. In a fight about Bela, Sam would clearly come out on top.

Turning off the radio, he parked the Impala and shut down the engine. Jo and Bela were already there. Awesome.

He got out. Watched Jo with some amusement as she dragged rusty chairs to their campfire powwow under the shade of… well… piles of junker cars. Bela would clearly, never in a million years, ever sit her expensive ass on one of those old, rusty chairs. Dean had no such repulsion, and sat down, grinning and shifting comfortably. He linked his fingers behind his head, before winking at Bela.

Jo started the powwow by asking the key question. He was pretty sure there was information in the book regarding either Mother, or the Alphas. Knowledge was power, or so Sam kept telling him. At any rate, this was mostly between Bela and Sam, so he'd let them duke it out while he needled Bela and made cow eyes at Jo. He lived for annoying the women in his life. It validated him.

She hadn't been thrilled over traveling to Bobby's just to return the bloody book but it was something she had to get out of the way. Upon discovering both Winchesters were alive and well, Bela decided she didn't want them on her case in her new life. This was her olive branch. While she understood quite well that if she had just given the book to Sam back in February that things could have been much easier, it hadn't mattered at the time. She needed the book for a client and they had already screwed her out of a million before. It was not going to happen again.

Bela had even graciously offered to steal it back if only Sam could wait a few weeks. Instead he resorted to threats and taunts, thus shortening her patience in wanting to deal with him at the time. Instead, Bela did what she was very good at. She took off with the book, thus leaving Sam out of luck. If only he had that rabbits foot.

Still she found herself here as she remembered that Sam had said they desperately needed it. And again, wanting to clear the air. After careful consideration though, Bela couldn't just hand over the tome to them. They lost everything. Be it because she had stolen it, or other various reasons. If this was as important as stressed, she wanted to make sure it was accessible at a later date. Likely it would have a very large buyer once they were through with it.

Walking over to the group, Bela eyed the chairs distastefully and stood to the side, her arms crossed with a black bag dangling over them. Seeing Dean for the first time, she couldn't help but roll her eyes at his display. "Pleasure to see you too, Dean." Turning back to Jo, she raised her brow at the question. Bela wasn't an amateur.

Motioning to the bag, Bela scoffed slightly before answering. "Of course I did, Harvelle." Once everyone was situated, the thief looked to Jo once more, making it clear she was addressing her. "These two aren't exactly known for being able to keep things in their possession permanently. I'm not going to hand it to them just so they can lose it; it should be kept somewhere safe."
