I love Hämsterviel! He's the typical corny and not-really-all-that-evil-villain; o'course his voice gets irritating as heck after a while, but without him Jumba's experiments wouldn't have been possible and we wouldn't have the 627 we have come to know and love. I really liked how they continued the plot-line in the way they did, and explained some of the L&S backstory through having Hämsterviel as his angry financial backer. Plus it gave Disney something to base the plotline of the series on, as opposed to it turning into another typical drudge through bad-guy after bad-guy after bad-guy.
You know he was based on the French soldier from 'Monty Python & the Quest for the Holy Grail' [I'm not sure if you'll have seen it over in the States]? Well, I've always been a huge fan of John Cleese [the comedian who played said solider] and it was great to see his 'legacy' being continued - even if it is in the form of a gerbil-like villian. <3
From my heart and from my hand, why don't people understand

Well, I guess I like him too. But I like him more when he's corny, like in the 'Lilo & Stitch Interrogation' scene in Stitch! the Movie. When he's just yelling at Gantu, he's annoying as heck. :oy625:
