# IPW:UK Return To Swanley, Kent, On October 7th With CAGED WARFARE – LOSER LEAVES IPW:UK!

» To many, the ultimate stipulation match is the CAGE MATCH. A metal structure erected around the ring and designed to cause bloodshed to the competitors, and keep the bout a fair one-on-one contest, where a winner WILL be decided.

IPW:UK has never before held a cage match, in our entire history. But, come October 7th, our first ever IPW-exclusive show in the White Oaks Leisure Centre – that all changes.

To order tickets to this event, or any other IPW:UK event, head over to: http://www.ipwuk.com/tickets/index.shtml, or for full information simply click on to: http://www.ipwuk.com/events/index.shtml!

# Dragon Aisu To Challenge Leroy Kincaide For Extreme Measures Contention!

» With just under four weeks until Extreme Measures 3, three entrants have already been decided. Firstly, ‘Mr. IPW’ Ashley Reed – entered for his consistent performances through 2006. Secondly, James Tighe – entered for defeating Doug Williams this past Saturday evening. And thirdly, either Leroy Kincaide or… Dragon Aisu.

Aisu, who would be making his third IPW appearance (first in Swanley), is a masked machine that has been quoted as ENJOYING having pain inflicted on him, in the form of a hard punch to his skull, or a strong chop to his chest.

On October 7th, however, Aisu finds himself in for a brand new challenge – that of Leroy Kincaide. Kincaide, currently on compassionate suspension from IPW:UK until Caged Warfare, has been training hard and has his game face right back on.

» We can now also confirm that PAUL ROBINSON and AVIV MAAYAN will compete in Extreme Measures 3. Robinson, like Reed, is being rewarded for his consistent 2006, while Maayan is entered due to his strong performances since April, and his former reign as IPW:UK champion.

# Simmonz Match Off; Reed vs. Pac On!

» In another further update, due to the extreme severity of the break in the ankle of Andy Boy Simmonz, IPW:UK has allowed him as much time off from activity as possible. This, coupled with the fact that Aviv Maayan is said to be at Simmonz’ bedside 5 days out of 7 every week, has led to the unfortunate postponement (but not cancellation) of the Simmonz vs. Duke of Danger match originally set for October 7th.

In an effort to make up for this to IPW:UK fans, we have decided to add a singles contest between two of IPW:UK’s biggest young superstars. Two men who impressed everybody in the locker-room and everybody in attendance this past weekend, PAC and ASHLEY REED.

Reed’s weekend was entirely successful, as not only did he manage to take a huge advantage in his long-running feud with Tony ‘Superstar’ Sefton, but he also chalked up a 6-man victory, and a massive singles victory versus ‘Mr. Wrestling’ Kevin Steen.

Pac was another man who ‘wow’d’ the socks off of many people over the past weekend. While he managed to score two amazing pinfall victories over El Generico in a triple-threat match, and then in the Global Gauntlet, he was also downed by two major players in the IPW:UK Anniversary Weekender – firstly by Martin Stone in an IPW:UK title match, and then by Ultimo Dragon in the Global Gauntlet. Neither of those losses, however, will put even the slightest dampener on Pac – who almost certainly gained more this weekend than in any weekend in his wrestling career so far.

And on October 7th, these two massive shining stars will clash – but which will come out the brightest?

» Another news release will come out shortly, documenting some of the announcements and changes for future shows in full detail.

# Further Injury Updates From The Anniversary Weekender!

» KRIS LINNELL has confirmed he will be back at 100% in time for October 7th. His hand has still not been x-rayed, but Linnell feels that no matter the pain, adrenaline will simply over-ride that.

JACK STORM is still suffering the effects from his leg injury and will not return to active IPW:UK competition until October 15th. As a result, the same can be said for Dave Moralez. SPUD on the other hand is fighting through the pain and is said to be ready to compete again up north this weekend!

JC THUNDER is once again healing up at home after re-injuring his knee. Thunder, a firm fan favourite, was in attendance at the second night of the Anniversary Weekender simply as a fan, and has stated his desire to continue doing so until his injury is fully healed.

Three members of the IPW:UK roster suffered black eyes over the weekend, with JAMES TIGHE, ASHLEY REED and TONY ‘SUPERSTAR’ SEFTON all waking up Monday morning with a shiner.

# Kartel Looking To Be The WINNERS On October 7th, In Tag Special!

» For most of the second half of 2005, IPW:UK fans saw The Kartel pretty much run the tag team division, taking it to the likes of AK47, The Chav Army and anybody else who got in their way, with regular ease.

Now, fast forward a year, and it’s a few days after the Anniversary Weekender. This time last year, The Kartel had been involved in one of the craziest matches in IPW:UK history, one which will live in the memory of anybody who was in attendance for a hell of a long time. TLC 2006 has just happened, but where were the Kartel? Not even on the afternoon card. And this makes them angry. Angry to the point of demanding a match for October 7th.

Their opponents are the lightning fast 3CW trained tandem of (Chris) Whitton and (Kid) Richie. Both debuting in IPW:UK back in June of this year as a part of the four-man ‘Team 3CW’ band, both of their partners in that match are also featured elsewhere in the card, showing how strong the Northern scene is at this time. With #1 contendership to the tag titles so close to being in their grasp back in July, a strong performance in this contest would certainly boost either team to the top of the tag rankings, which have been refreshed and reset, and will be re-decided on November the 1st!

# Dragon Hearts Ready For First Title Defence On October 7th!

» After sustaining injuries in the Tables, Ladders & Chairs match in Orpington at the Anniversary Weekender, Spud & Dragon Phoenix were holding off before committing to this weekend’s scheduled IPW:UK Tag Title defence, their first in the role as champions.

The challengers are the first tag team that ever faced the duo of Spud and Dragon Phoenix under the moniker of The Dragon Hearts – they are, Maximum Head. Their first bout was aired on The Wrestling Channel on IPW:UK TV week 1, and this re-match is now set to be for the titles, an offer made by the incoming champions to show the respect that they have for Head and Voltage. The first contest was close; will the gap be even closer this time, as Spud and Phoenix go in not quite at 100%?

# The Stakes Are Raised – Loser Doesn’t Just Leave IPW:UK…!

» This past weekend, the stakes in this Saturday’s steel cage match were raised beyond belief – if things just couldn’t get any tenser… they did.

After Linnell made the challenge last time out to a Steel Cage match, his #1 nemesis Ashe agreed to the challenge, on the basis that the Loser Leaves IPW. This weekend however, Linnell brought up issues with the wording of the match stipulation – specifically, loopholes. Linnell said that he wanted complete and utter clarification on the stipulation – and that if he was going to be putting his career on the line at such a young age, he wanted the conditions to be the same both ends – not just loser leaves IPW:UK – loser leaves wrestling. The loser, retires.

This stipulation has now been confirmed by both parties. On October 7th, this coming Saturday in Swanley, Kent, a career ends.

Match 1: The Kartel defeated Chris Whitton & Kid Richie via pinfall when Frazier pinned Whitton in 13:29.

Match 2 - All England Title Match & Extreme Measures 3 Qualifier: Leroy Kincaide © defeated Dragon Aisu via pinfall after a Spear in 6:43.

Match 3 - No DQ No Countout IPW:UK Title Match: Martin Stone © over Iceman via pinfall after 3 Lariats and a Steel chair shot in 7:43.

Match 4 - IPW:UK Tag Title Match: The Dragon Hearts © over Maximum Head via pinfall when Spud pinned Head in 14:47.

Match 5: 'Mr. IPW' Ashley Reed and 'The Man That Gravity Forgot' Pac went to a no contest in 16:22, after Darkside ran in and attacked both men, before being pelted by the crowd.

---Interval---

Match 6 - Retirement Cage Match: Kris Linnell defeated Ashe via pinfall after a top of the Cage Kris of Death and a following Ashe Landing onto a chair (Ashe's own finisher), in 12:29. This brings to an end the 10+ year career of Ashe, formerly of the New Breed.

Added match times and a couple of little details to the official results.

Much better show and crowd than Frontiers of Honor 2, but unless the venue is going to be full, it'll never have the atmosphere of Orpington. That said, it would help if the venue was lit properly. With the FWA:A ring and Cage used, it would have been good to have the lighting rig as well.

I liked all the matches, pretty much.

I didn't like that the Extreme Measures first round matches were announced to no fanfare whatsoever because of the way Blockbusta does his rambling. Another Reed vs Robinson match is a big thing in IPW, and with the cancellation of today's XSW event, Fleisch vs Pac has much more dream match status.

More thoughts tomorrow maybe.
