| QUOTE | Frontiers of Honour 2 Main event changed
On Friday August 18th two of the UK’s top wrestling companies and Americas hottest Independent promotion will team up to produce the highly anticipated Frontiers of Honour 2. FWA and IPW:UK have joined forces to present a night of wrestling that no UK fan will want to miss. Teaming up once again with ROH, the two British promotions will put forward their top stars to face the best that Ring of Honor has to offer.
Yet after announcing the full card for the event several weeks back the main event of this mega event has now been changed. Due to the crowning of a Brand new FWA British heavyweight Champion on Saturday July 15th in Morecambe, UK veteran and new FWA champ Robbie Brookside will now replace Former Champion Hade Vansen in the main event to Take on ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson and IPW:UK Champion Martin Stone.
The adds a entirely new dimension to the match with the long history between the new FWA title holder and his US counter part the former American Dragon who was trained heavily by Brookside in his earlier years. Many were hoping for a match between the two on the upcoming Ring of Honor UK tour in Robbie’s home town of Liverpool but that wasn’t to be. A win here for either Stone or Brookside will no doubt lead to the public demanding an ROH title shot later on down the road.
The new addition of Brookside also gives UK fans the first high profile UK in ring meeting between Robbie Brookside and IPW:UK Champion, LDN heavyweight champion and one half of the FWA tag team Champions, Martin Stone. The confrontation is one that will not only take stone to the limit but also give him the chance to prove the undisputed head of the UK Old School that his New School Strong Style form of wrestling can hang with anyone the UK has to offer.
3 way battle of the Champions ROH Champion FWA Champion IPW:UK Champion Bryan Danielson Vs Robbie Brookside Vs Martin Stone
This match is added to the existing line up that includes:
ROH Vs FWA dream tag team double header
Dream match one Austin Aries and Roderick Strong Vs Doug Williams and James Tighe
Dream match two The Briscoe Brothers Vs Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm
FWA VS ROH Challenge Colt Cabana Vs Darren Burridge
IPW VS ROH break out star match Matt Sydal Vs Pac
ROH Vs FWA Vs IPW:UK Scramble match Davey Richards Vs Jimmy Rave Vs Mark Sloan Vs Aviv Mayaan Vs Ashley Reed Vs Paul Robinson
NOW ALSO ADDED IPW:UK’s JC Thunder issues an ROH open challenge (opponent to be announced shortly)

Frontiers of Honour 2, Friday August 18 2006, Swanley, Kent
On Friday August 18 two of the UK's top wrestling companies and America’s hottest Independent promotion will team up to produce the highly anticipated Frontiers of Honour 2.
FWA and IPW:UK have joined forces to present a night of wrestling that no UK fan will want to miss. Teaming up once again with ROH, the two British promotions will put forward their top stars to face the best that Ring of Honor has to offer.
Wrestlers so far confirmed for this card are:
ROH Austin Aries Roderick Strong American Dragon Colt Cabana The Briscoes Matt Sydal
FWA ’The Anarchist’ Doug Williams ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm ‘The Phoenix’ Jody Fleisch James Tighe ‘The Pukka One’ Darren Burridge Aviv Maayan
IPW:UK Martin Stone Spud 'The Sadistic' Jack Storm ‘The Man Gravity Forgot’ Pac 'The Human Hate Machine' Dave Moralez Ashley Reed
There are still negotiations taking place to finalise the card and at present there are still more names yet to be announced for this historic event for all three companies.
Ring of Honor
Hot of the heels of their groundbreaking debut UK tour, America’s top independent company will be eager to walk out with more wins under their belt than those of their two UK counterparts much like ROH did in the York Hall, Bethnal Green when they defeated FWA somewhat controversially at the first Frontiers of Honour show in 2003.
With such an impressive team featuring some of the top wrestlers the US indie scene has to offer it would be fair to say that their chances are extremely high.
Frontier Wrestling Alliance
With this show being over three years in the making, you can be sure that FWA wrestlers such as Jody Fleisch, Jonny Storm and James Tighe, who fought for FWA at FOH 1, will be eager to take the win this time and now with FWA standout Doug Williams involved after missing the first show due to Japanese commitments you can be sure that the Frontier Wrestling Alliance will come out with all guns blazing.
New additions Darren Burridge and Aviv Maayan will be sure to give everything they have to prove themselves worthy of such a spot on the card and help FWA, the current holders of the British Inter-Federation Cup, walk out of Swanley with the win in this non-Cup match.
International Pro-Wrestling United Kingdom (IPW:UK)
The UK's hottest new company may be the surprise in this competition. Two years ago no one would have foreseen the addition of Orpington's best kept wrestling secret to the FWA v ROH return card, but here they are. Featuring England's hottest new stars, the buzz surrounding the south east's internet darling has been something to behold. They are surely boasting the hungriest wrestlers and as a company has the most to gain from a win at this event. Although some of their wrestlers are also FWA regulars, an agreement between FWA and IPW:UK has enabled the two promotions to split their best talent between them for this historic occasion.
Could the element of surprise and the home town advantage lead to IPW:UK being crowned the new kings on August 18th? We shall see.
The event will take place at IPW:UK's brand new venue in Swanley only 15 minutes from their regular venue of the Orpington Halls. The address is:
White Oak Leisure Centre Milda May Avenue Swanley, Kent BR8 7BT
The doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 7.30pm.
Trains run every 15-30 minutes from London Victoria and also Black Friars and the journey is only 38 minutes.
The last train to London is at 23.45 giving fans plenty of time to get back to London and/or make connecting trains.
Tickets are priced at £45 front row Gold Ringside, £35 Silver ringside and £20 all other seats. There are only 400 tickets available so it is advised to book tickets fast for this one-off wrestling spectacular.
Tickets will be available on line via the following websites
www.frontierwrestling.com www.ipwuk.com
The tickets will go on sale over the Internet this bank holiday Monday at midday. Tickets will also be made available at many live shows including upcoming FWA, IPW:UK and the ROH UK tour dates over the coming months. They will then be placed on sale via the IPW:UK ticket box office on 07780 677 007 from Monday July 17.
