| QUOTE | It is now being reported that JBL did give his notice to WWE because of the demands on his time from so many other projects including his new position as an investment banker. However, the latest news is that a deal was worked out earlier this week to keep JBL with WWE. The primary concern for JBL was travel time getting to Smackdown every Tuesday and flying back to New York on Wednesdays. The concession that was being discussed this week was allowing JBL to fly on the WWE corporate jet after Smackdown so he could fly right home on Tuesday night and be back at work at his new investment banking company on Wednesday morning, rather than using most of Wednesday as a travel day.

| QUOTE | According to this week's Wrestling Observer (dated September 25th, 2006), he has handed in his notice and is quitting the company completely, leaving his current one day-a-week announcing gig. The October 6th Smackdown will be his last show.
Apparently he's doing really well in his new day job as an investment banker in New York, and has decided he doesn't need the hassle of travelling to and from wherever Smackdown is taped every Tuesday. He's also been very critical of John Laurinaitis behind the scenes as well, and is somewhat disillusioned with the product.
In unrelated news that may become related soon, Tazz' contract is also up at the end of the year and he's looking for a raise. Apparently the radio tryouts he did on Sirius some months back went quite well, and he believes that he now has a bit of leverage, as he has somewhere else to go to if WWE don't comply with his wishes. |

No!
Agreed with James, big time - he came along leaps and bounds in the ring in the last year of wrestling, but excels on the mic; when he started Commentary it breathed a new freshness into SmackDown - he is very witty, quick and is a natural Commentator; it'd be a big shame if this is true.
