IN ORLEANS

This year the Mayor of Orleans City, Mr. Fidalgo, has announced to his people that there will be a festival. He has, surprisingly, kept all of this under wraps for weeks until it was near completion!

So for four days, the downtown park will be decorated with colored lights and booths filled with all sorts of goodies! (Citizens may sign up for a booth for a fee). There will be wild contraptions on display, to showcase the talents of our very own city as well as a carousal! Mr Fidalgo has hired the best engineers to make a carousal for all ages to enjoy.

Not only that, but he has also hired musicians for every night for the four-day extravaganza. They will provide live music for those who is a fan of dancing or simply to appreciate the music. There will be special food and treats as well as the local favorites within the vendors, so there will be lots of fun to be had!

The Mayor also has another BIG surprise to announce in the opening ceremony, so attendance would be greatly appreciated.

WITHIN TOKAHALU AND CUAUOTLAN

Every year, the high priests and elders of both tribes chooses couple of days in the spring time to hold their Holy Days celebration. It is one of the few occasions where all Tokahalu and Cuauotlans all gather to honor and respect their Gods and the creation of their existence.

The dancers of both tribes (dancers, mitaa'lu, and Nic'tlaotla) have been working hard to portray the great story of their gods. The Holy Days start off with the first night with their performance and the high priests reciting the tale of Aska, Shun, and Vada.

As it is every year, the high priests also uses the Holy Days as a way to look at the candidates they have for the holy warriors and attendants (Ozukaha, Mitaa'lu, Lauhpatic and Teocuihtil) and give them trials to complete.

The trial for the attendants are generally to see how well they are versed in their creation myth and how important they are to the community. Being youthful and beautiful is taken into consideration as they are supposed to be one of the representative of their gods.

The trials for the warriors is less about morality and more about strength and skills. The high priests gives a special task for each of their candidate, the task will reflect on what tribe you are in, and to see how well they will complete it in the duration of the Holy Days.

As always there will be food and other goods for sale by the natives.

What's going on?
Well basically, the higher ups has just told everyone in their respected cities what will be happening in the next two weeks.

Why isn't the first event just starting?
Mainly because the mods haven't been really been able to communicate well for the past week or two (busybusy) but also because there are a lot of people who has went MIA since we opened. I thought maybe if we give a week or so for people to get back in character or think of rp ideas that way we won't lose time when the actual event starts.

What are we supposed to do while we wait then?
8) GOOD THING YOU ASKED
As you can read above, there are A LOT OF THINGS that will be happening in the first event. There were more but I cut some of it out.

There are some prep works to do if you choose to do certain things. Like the trials for the Portolàns or the steampunk techonology display. Maybe show what your characters are trying to build to showcase it or preparing food/goodies to sell at the booths. And how will your characters prepare or dress and what not. Or idk them working out or practicing fighting with their friends. A week or two sounds like a long time, but it passes by pretty quick, especially since a lot of us are still in school.

You can also kill time by interacting with each other in the mini events. That way it won't be that awkward OHHINICETOMEETYOUs everywhere haha (I DO THIS ALL THE TIME OTL)

How long will this event last?
I'm guessing it'll probably be around a month. A day in NG world will be about a week in our world. The first week will be kind of important to attend because we'll be uncovering this world's story a bit and what not. KIND OF LIKE AN RPG LOL

This sounds like a lot of work..
Ha--- I know.. But I mean isn't that why you joined? 8')
At least I hope that was the reason.

The mods have special eye candies for you guys when the first event starts so hope everyone will participate. * U *

oh yea for the tribal peeps, please let us know if you're going to be applying to be any of the following: Ozukaha, Mitaa'lu, Lauhpatic and Teocuihtil

I thought it might be fun to give either custom made trials for each individuals or put them together.

Plus I'd just like to know who'd be interested
