Auction of Cally-related itemsCostumes and rank pinsAuction catalog (with hundreds of items)
Starting January 16th, a large number of BSG costumes, props and set pieces will be auctioned off. Find all infos about the purpose and the scope of this endeavor
here on BattlestarProps.com

Well, recently they added one of the deckhand helmets to their catalogue. Obviously, Nicki wore this helmet, too.
Description: "Deckhands on Galactica, and any other battlestar worth its weight in salt, will typically wear helmets with their deckhand outfits. Each jumpsuit has its own accompanying helmet. These helmets come with goggles (which are Oakleys), earmuffs (which are actually JVC headsets, obviously modifed aesthetically), and the panelling/sections.
We’ll focus on Cally, since she’s dead. As seen in the picture below, she’s wearing a helmet (along with Prosna and Chief Tyrol) when repairing Starbuck’s Viper."
Solium - October 18, 2008 11:31 PM (GMT)
I am not totally clear if this is "Cally's" helmet or they are saying she wore one like this?
Pedda - October 21, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
The description is a little ambiguous, but we'll try and find out before the auction in January.
Pedda - December 7, 2008 02:00 AM (GMT)
Propworx have now released the breathtakingly beautiful and almost nostalgic
auction catalog that includes photos and descriptions of the hundreds of items that will be auctioned off starting next month.
With Cally being one of the most prominent characters, there are many Cally costumes in the catalog, as well as her rank pins. You'll love this... even if none of us will be able to afford more than the printed catalog.

That's an amazing list. If I was rich I would purchase a few items. :P
But where are her dog tags? I asked Nicki if she kept her orange jump suite and she kinda gave me a look like, "Are you kidding?!" :rofl2: It's obvious she was not fond of dressing in such an unflattering outfit most of the time.
What interests me MORE is WHO will be the owner of her orange jumpsuit. I wonder if will ever know?

I can imagine. She wore that stuff with lots of grace, though.
Speaking of more flattering outfits: It's a shame "Colonial Day" doesn't include any scene where you can clearly see Nicki/Cally in that Blue Sleeveless Dress.

Correct. No beauty shot like they had of Kara Thrace. I believe in the episode Cally is seen from the back and then just a head shot as she swings around on the dance floor. I have an animated gif of it somewhere.
Found it!
Pedda - December 7, 2008 09:41 PM (GMT)
Neat
But you're right, she could have worn her jumpsuit in that scene, and no viewer would have noticed... :(
PenDolSa - December 7, 2008 11:51 PM (GMT)
I would buy some of that stuff if there wasn't one obstacle called lack of cash in my way

That would have been funny! Humiliating but funny! :D
Solium - December 8, 2008 12:43 PM (GMT)
What do they mean by "Estimate from"? Is there a minimum start?? Is there a maximum end?? What is the "real" value of this stuff? In other words is $2000 an average going price for an actors outfit? Will people bid ridiculously high? I know Star Trek had a big auction last year but I have no idea what things went for.
Pedda - March 1, 2009 03:04 AM (GMT)
Three Cally-related props will be auctioned off next week:
Framed photo of Cally and NickyFramed photo of Chief and CallyNicky's blanket (used when Cally brings Nicky to the airlock in TTTB)
Solium - March 1, 2009 06:29 PM (GMT)
Those two framed pictures would certainly be treasured gems to own. I wonder how much they will go for in the end.
The blanket. I dunno. Cost 5 dollars in a Walmart I bet, and will probably sell for a thousand? I'll pass on that.....
Edit: Little OT but.
Felgercarb Toothpaste? If I am not mistaking there is a little "in-joke" here. I believe Felgercarb, was a "curse word" like "frak" from TOS, but not picked up as one in TNS.

Lex - March 1, 2009 07:23 PM (GMT)
That's correct. Felgercarb meant "Bulls**t" in the original series. Loved this little in-joke, I'm a big fan of the original show, too.

Answering my own question:
$355.00 for Cally and Tryol.
$316.88 for Cally and Baby
As far as collectibles go those are actually awesome deals and really could have been quite affordable to a lot of fans I think. However I did not bid thus I regress....
Pedda - March 24, 2009 08:12 PM (GMT)
The (presumably)
final round of online auctions is underway, offering two more chances to own a piece of Cally history:
Cally's Coverall Stuffers
Four items Specialist Cally Henderson-Tyrol carried in her coveralls in the series finale flashback, ''Daybreak.'' A set of four small pieces of deck tools, all weathered.
Pedda's note: Like I said in the other thread, Nicki did actually film scenes for "Daybreak", but they are included in the DVD cut of the series finale only.
Cally's Burnt BDU Jacket from Kobol
A burnt BDU jacket worn by Cally Tyrol in Season 1 and Season 2 after the crash on Kobol. An extra-small green battle dress uniform jacket that has been burnt, distressed, and frosted. This costume does not include rank pins, as the pin holes have been covered in the process of distressing the costume. Tagged ''CALLY'' in silver marker on tag inside of collar, as well as ''G HAACHE'' in black marker.
Jaffa Cree - March 25, 2009 12:10 AM (GMT)
I wonder if they smell like Cally too...
...come on! you're all thinking it!
Solium, you've met Nicki Clyne??

That BDU would be an awesome thing to have. You could put it on a mannequin. Callyquin.
Pedda - March 27, 2009 09:05 PM (GMT)
With less than seven hours to go, both items are at less than 130 USD. Think about it!

FFffff, and here I am having already got my birthday presents.
I'm not entirely sure that sentence made any kind of sense.
Pedda - March 28, 2009 02:11 PM (GMT)
The winning bids for the coverall stuffers and the BDU jacket were 200 USD and 680 USD, respectively.
I wonder if there are any Cally-related items left that Propworx is gonna auction off at the second live auction in May. Either way... man, I wish I could be there. But I guess the print catalog will be my consolation prize again. ;)
Pedda - March 30, 2009 02:30 PM (GMT)
The eBay auctions will continue for four additional weeks! Those auctions will start Sunday nights at 7:00pm PST and end the following Sunday.
Week 11 includes two Cally costumes
Cally's Sweat Jacket TopThis is a zip-up sweat jacket worn by Cally during the series. This is a gray sweat top with zip-front and pockets, as well as a BSG patch over the left breast. Piece is from Zara, size large. Includes small-petite black shorts made of polyester from Mount Equipment Co-Op, and size 6.5 gray and silver runners. All pieces are marked ''CALLY.''
Cally's New Caprica Prison JumpsuitThis is the hero prison jumpsuit worn by Cally Henderson-Tyrol in Season 3's ''Precipice'' and ''Exodus,'' after she is captured and brought to a secluded area to be executed on New Caprica. Dirtied and distressed gray size 38 regular coverall from Somes. Includes gray runners without laces that are dirtied and distressed, inside of each shoe is marked ''CALLY STNT HERO,'' shoe size and manufacturer are unknown.

I have got her sweat suit from the first live auction. Now this other sweat top has come up on ebay this week. Does anyone even remember her wearing this during the show? I know where she wore the sweat pants but not the sweat shirt top.

Yes, I met her at Vulcon (sp?) in Orlando last year. She is a very sweet girl and very nice to all her fans. Very gracious and polite. On stage funny and charming as ever. She will make any fan feel like a million bucks.

I think after she and Galen got sucked out of the air lock. She was recovering from space sickness decompression or what ever it was. Cally was walking with a cain, in their quarters and I believe had that top on.
bsg-freakazoid-robot - April 1, 2009 07:10 PM (GMT)
Good call Solium! That is indeed where we see her in that top. I have no idea of how to tell that if that's the one that i own that came from the first auction or the one that is up for bid this week. The top i have came with the bottoms and shoes so perhaps that's the one that i have.

I can't believe the burnt jacket went for that much. I guess you can place it in the episode that it came from very easily though. :D
Considering that i paid just a little over double that for her entire set of green BDU's (which unexpectedly came with the undershirts as well) i thought $680 was kinda high for the burnt top. I guess supplies are dwindling though.
Over a month ago i had emailed the guys that run the auctions....and to answer your question as to the May live auction, yes they will have some more of Cally's costumes in that auction including the "frozen" one she died in. They wouldn't tell me anything more than that. I would not be surprised to maybe see one more set of green BDU's and maybe one more hanger outfit of hers. I would like to think that i own the only set of green BDU's of Cally's but i seriously doubt that's the case.
Solium - April 2, 2009 12:38 PM (GMT)
That is so cool you own an authentic Cally wardrobe from the series. I thought of bidding on some stuff but found I need to spend my money elsewhere. :(
But seeing there are yet more auctions I don't know how long I can hold out the temptation to bid on something.
bsg-freakazoid-robot - April 2, 2009 12:54 PM (GMT)
Yeah thats true. There will be one more live auction in May that will probably have some of her "main" wardrobe in it.
Anyway i figured out the deal with the sweat shirt. The one i have is the hooded one that shows up in the scene that you were talking about where she and Tyrol are talking about the tylium incident in "Dirty Hands". The one in this weeks ebay auction is not hooded. It's has just a collar. Now that one i don't remember seeing anywhere.
Pedda - April 18, 2009 10:35 PM (GMT)
Hey bsg-freakazoid-robot! I don't think I said hi yet, so welcome to the board!
First of all, it's always great to see new Cally fans signing up. But it's even better to finally meet someone who actually won some of the Cally props. Congratulations! As you know, Auction Network/Propworx often gave us only one single, way too bright photo of every costume and prop. So if you've got any nice pics of your stuff... be our guest. ;)

Yeah, absolutely. Compared with the winning bids for items auctioned off on eBay recently, the first Pasadena auction looks like a winter sale.

There are no Cally props in the current eBay round, but Auction Network recently released the
catalog for Pasadena II. There will be altogether 11 Cally-related items at the second live auction, including two costumes. The death costume and another hangar outfit (just like you said), but no BDU's. There are four or five other props from her last episode.
bsg-freakazoid-robot - April 27, 2009 07:54 PM (GMT)
Hey Pedda thanks for the welcome!
I will post some pics of her BDU's soon. I can't promise it will be the best picture though. My picture taking skills are lacking even though I have a camera that had cost around $300. It's got to be settings in there that I just need to learn about. I will try to get some pics up soon.
Anyway, I want to try for some stuff in the next auction but I am afraid things might go too high this time around. We'll see.
vicmackey187 - May 17, 2009 05:41 AM (GMT)
Greetings all.
I won the Cally death outfit in Auction II and will post pics as soon as I get it!

Haven't decided how I will display it yet (there's not much room in my apt/too much direct sunlight spots to able to safely have it out for a long period of time), thinking of getting a half mannequin display eventually.
Now I have to buy the Specialist pins to go with it! ;)
Pedda - May 18, 2009 08:06 PM (GMT)
Hi
vicmackey187! Thanks for joining, and welcome to our community. :friends: Please feel free to introduce yourself
here.
That's great that you won Cally's TTTB outfit. Congratulations! Did you bid on anything else? There were quite a lot of Cally-related props. Needless to say, we look forward to your pics...
---
@bsg-freakazoid-robot: I think I saw you bidding during the second live auction. Did you end up winning any Cally item?
bsg-freakazoid-robot - May 20, 2009 04:17 PM (GMT)
Hey Pedda.
No i didn't win anything of her items this time. Me and another guy was driving up the prices for Cally's orange jumpsuit and her deck helmet. Both went for around $3,500. Plus you have got to add in a 20% fee after that so those are some mighty high prices. That other person seemed to have some deep pockets. The day after the auction i was glad really that i didn't end up with those things at the prices they went for. When i thought better about it i felt more relieved because i was letting myself go during the auction and just pushing the mouse button without thinking of much else. I've got a couple of Cally's outfits from the 1st auction so i am cool with that.
I did win Dualla's duty blues as well as just a regular deck helmet this time so i am happy with what i won.
Edited to correct that Cally's helmet went for $4,500. I had forgotten that i was up that high with the price. You add in the buyers premium and the winner will end up paying $5,400 for that helmet. Ouch. Her jumpsuit did go for $3,500 so the final price on that would be $4,200.
Pedda - May 21, 2009 12:09 PM (GMT)
Congrats on getting those items! And thank the gods the other guy was even more unreasonable than you. ;)
By the way, this week's "
Airlock Auctions" include several Cally items:
Cally's BDUs| QUOTE |
Production Description: Green battle dress uniform belonging to Cally Henderson-Tyrol. Green BDUs are the all-purpose uniform of the Colonial Fleet. This costume was worn by Nicki Clyne during the run of Battlestar Galactica.
Technical Description: LawPro BDU jacket (size S) with BSG patch on left shoulder, no rank pins; BDU pants and black web belt (size 27''-31''). Long-sleeved gray undershirt (size L); Lawpro boots (size 4B). All items have ''Cally'' written inside. |
| QUOTE |
Production Description: Cally's wrench, which could be seen in the toolbox and later, on the table in the Tyrol family quarters. This is the wrench Cally hits Galen over the head with after learning he is a Cylon. Wrench marked by production as hero.
Technical Description: Production modified wrench made of metal with black taped handle. Wrench has been severely weathered and handle is sticky. Item is about 12' long. |
Solium - May 26, 2009 11:10 PM (GMT)
Congratulations vicmackey187!  Man, I thought I had deep pockets, but these items sure went above my "comfort" level.
But it sounds like loyal fans are winning a lot of this stuff and that's awesome news.
:cornmuffins:
Cally-B-Good - June 4, 2009 10:35 PM (GMT)
I would love to have some of this stuff.... maybe things will come out on the secondary market in a few months? Some folks have bigger eyes than actual bank accounts and buy without truly being able to, then sell later. :muffin:
Pedda - June 5, 2009 09:10 AM (GMT)
Yeah, a lot of props will show up on eBay - but I'm quite sure they will sell for more, not less, especially dog tags, uniforms, and items associated with the big names.
By the way, here are this week's Cally items:

Ok, first off, the tags are VERY interesting! "R Cally?! Thus "Cally" as originally scripted was her last name. Which always made sense. But what did the "R" stand for? Rachel? Robin?, Roberta? ( I hope not!)
Cally Henderson was another "warping of the facts" as we know them. :whistle2:
Oh, and I guess Cally was a real "MacGyver"! All she needed was a few nail files and she could fix any Viper on the flight deck! :D
