Welcome to Nashira Weyr!
Nashira Weyr is a friendly Alternate Universe Pern set in the 6th Pass. Nashira combines the AU's weyrs of Baikal and Rukai. Set on the Eastern Isles, Nashira is set six turns after the deadly flooding of Rukai and four turns after the abandonment of Baikal Weyr; both had been settled on the Southern Continent. We welcome all from any place on Pern.

Weyr Bowls
The larger bowl is where the Dragonriders live and dwell at while the smaller bowl is where the Weyrlings have their lessons and where the barracks are contained. The watchdragon watches the skies in between the two bowls on a piece of land that cuts the one bowl into the two halves. On the larger side, the ground level contains the Healer Hall, Wherling Barracks and an entrance to the Hatching Sands which is located underground. The smaller side, commonly nicknamed the Weyrling Bowl, houses the Dolphineer Hall, Fisher Hall, the Candidate Barracks and the Weyrling Barracks.

Lower Caverns
The storage area for all the weyr's supplies. Winding tunnels map out the weyr where whers and the occassional rats use to travel. They also hold living quarters for the common weyrfolk and kitchen drudges. The kitchens are also located inside of the caverns.

Riders' Weyrs
These are the living facilities used by the dragonriders. They are housed all along the inside face of the Weyr itself as well as the outside face. There are well over 650 individual rooms, though only around 350 are currently full. Each weyr consists of a large area for the Dragon directly off of the landing ledge, a smaller room where the rider rests, and a small bathing area.

Candidate Barracks
Located in the smaller weyr bowl, the candidate barracks contain 50 livable weyrs where up to 100 candidates can live in. Half are set off for the male candidates and the other half are set off for the female candidates. Both have their own separate bathing areas and a combined eating area.

Hatching Sands
A large cave inside of the mountain range where clutching dragons lay their eggs. The sands are heated by natural, unreachable hot-springs underneath and enable the eggs to harden and grow. Be cautious when approaching; clutching females can be extremely protective of their clutches.

Harbor
Nashira’s harbour is arguably one of its busiest areas. As the Weyr accepts no tithes and trades for its way of life the stretch of cove with its natural wave breaks is well used. Several piers have been constructed and all are rarely empty. Trade boats usually settled on the left side of the harbour and fishing boats usually on the right, closer to the Seacrafter and Dolphineer halls where people willing to help gut fish can be faster found. Nashira’s local pod of dolphins is also frequently seen in the harbour, playing with people dragons and boats. They also often escort the boats in and out.

Coves Behind Nashira
There are several coves of all sizes located right behind the face of the Hatching Grounds. Gold Shivith has claimed one of the larger ones for herself, her mate, and their riders. The rest are open for all to use and explore.

The Skies
The open skies above Nashira where wings of dragons can practice before Threadfall or stretch their wings for the day. Mating flights can been seen above daily. There is always activity above the weyr in the skies. A sub forum inside is made for mating flights.

Weyrling Barracks
The living quarters for weyrlings until they have gained their knots. There are currently 100 rooms for the weyrlings enought to support 2 large clutches growing at around the same rate.

Wher Quarters
Living Quarters for whers and their handlers. Located in the lower caverns, deep within the twisting tunnels; whers are able to navigate the confusing twists and turns with ease. There are enough living spaces as needed as the underground tunnels are huge and littered with unclaimed rooms. The wherlings also make these rooms their home right from the day they have bonded to their partner.

Hatching Sands
Deep inside the twists and turns of the Lower Caverns, there is a small section near the quarters for whers and their handlers. This area supports the same natural warming system as the hatching grounds above does, sported with the same warm sand as well. Essentially, its a hatching grounds for wher eggs.

Hot Springs Isle
There are a total of four springs on this newly discovered island. The two closest springs to Nashira Weyr are the only two that are useable due to the extreme temperatures of the largest one and the furthest one away. The coves themselves are large enough for humans while the waters outside are just as warm for dragons to relax in.

Herdbeast Isle
An isle to the east of Nashira that is completely dedicated to herdbeasts for the dragons to feed on. There is a small mountain chain in the middle that houses caverns to protect them during Falls.

Infirmary
Located right across from the Hatching Grounds, the infirmary is for Infirmary whenever a dragon or a human is injured they come here. Female candidates, both dragon and wher, and healers are to report here to work on the injured during falls.

Firestone Reserves
The mines that produce the firestone needed to fuel a dragon's flame. In threadfall, we command some of the candidates and some of the holders come to help bag the firestone for the dragonriders. Male dragon and wher candidates are to report here to bag and hand out the stone. Weyrfolk that are available are also requested to help.

Farmlands
A small island south of the main weyr land, this land has been cleared for farming. Many of the weyrfolk travel here, by boat, every day to work on the crops that supply the weyr with its food.
