Well, I know Phoenix is way past this already, but...

I hit ten thousand today!!! Three whole days early biggrin.gif. Which means I could go read. But I'm at a nice interesting bit in the story (some robots just showed up unexpectedly--I thought they were just people until they wouldn't die), so I think I'll carry on writing. And trying to get on the Nanowrimo website which is currently a bit overloaded.

Nicely done, Nutmeg (and rather fun about the robots).

I'm staring at some of my buddies who have word counts 3 times higher than mine; it's still exciting for me when I hit 100K even if they're at 300K, and I'm still cheering for my mom even if she hasn't hit 3K yet. We're all writing, and that's what matters. smil-viking.gif

I just reached 25,012, the earliest in four NaNoWriMos in as many years. Always before, I managed to get between 16666 and 7000 a day. I suspected that my typing speed has increased. It has, for sure. In addition, I did my worldbuilding five years ago, wrote everything down, and reread the two books I have already written on this world. No more time-consuming research, at least not this year.

Unfortunately, instead of three days off a week, which is normal, I will have to work eight out of the eleven days between the 20th and the end of the month, which is not normal. That's the main reason I've been pushing to get as many words as possible. But who knows? How high can I go?????

I know what you mean about unexpected stuff sad.gif. I ended up with two essays to do for homework on Thursday night, but thankfully I have a free Friday morning too and I managed to get them done. And then I managed to do all my homework, so I actually have a free weekend! So this morning (and afternoon) I ended up building most of a Seafire model, and reading a large chunk of a novel... But I'm writing again, well, sort of... But I'm hoping to finish tomorrow! Which would be really cool biggrin.gif.

I wrote 2,282 words for a total of 35,172. I am now more than two days ahead.

My eight days of work begin tomorrow. Even with only three days off out of the next eleven, I believe I will make the goal of 50,000 by the end of the month, and maybe even sooner.

I have passed the pesky beginning and writing faster now that I have the story under way. It's easier.
