While searching the great halls of the Plane of Fire for a way home, Chazriel and the rest of the party were ambushed by a demonic figure and his undead servants. Chazriel was no match for the creature and was unable to get away before becoming completely overtaken by his force. Despite the efforts of brave cleric of Sarenrae, Djiordan, Chazriel's lifeforce was extinguished by the swirling death that the creature emitted.

The powerful wizard Chazriel is no more.

Chazriel's zombified corpse was later found and put down via axe to the head by Kyra.
