Finally after about 6 months we got our barn up for the horses! We got the roof on last weekend and all the tin up this weekend on the sides. I'm exhausted but happy. We are hoping to have 3 stalls completed by Christmas. Whew! Alot of time and energy has gone into this project. I'll be even happier when its all completed. I can't wait!

Me either :drool . That would be a fine bunny barn!
Speaking of that. Does anyone else look at outbuildings when out and about? I do and say to self, "Now that would be a real nice rabbitry!" :P
RaineTreeHollow - October 20, 2008 03:57 PM (GMT)
I do that all the time...and then say "But where would I put it?"

I look at it like if I had the money to move. I'd look at outbuildings and property as much if not more than the house. :D

me 2. Actually. my ideal for this neighborhood would be a 2 or 3 car garage. I think that would be easier to clean, and to get to if it were storming.

Congrats on the horse barn, its very nice. :wtg
As for the others, you guys are so funny! Atleast i know i'm not the crazy one for buying my house based on the building out back. Now the house is too small and i'm still busy putting additions onto the bunny building. LOL. Plus i still drive by lowes and look at their buildings. I have mental blueprints for all of them. Now if i can just find that money tree.....
And i wonder why normal people think us bunny folk are weird. hmmm.. :hmmm
RaineTreeHollow - October 20, 2008 07:16 PM (GMT)
Who knows? You'd think they expect us to actually buy a house based on....I dunno, the house. :D

Well, I'm jealous of Shadow's rabbitry. WOW!! I'd love to have that. Don't get me wrong I like my rabbitry building too but hers seems so NICE!! I look at outbuildings and barns all the time. I'd love to have about 10-20 acres so my horses could actually roam and I'd have room to build a big rabbitry building. I can't seem to find that money tree either. :dunno I just feel blessed to have what we DO have. :P

Hey, me too...and that's just an 8X8 in the backyard.

LOVE your new barn! Looks great. I am sure your horses will like it too!
I am with the rest of you (all of us animal people must be the same). When we bought our house 4 years ago, the house was in horrid condition. BUT, it had 10.4 acres, so of course we jumped on it! My hubby is in construction, so we rebuilt the house. We don't really spend much time in it, so the house really is not that big of deal to me! I would rather be out playing/working (they seem to be one and the same at my place :D )
Hey, when you all find a money tree, can I get seed to start? That would really help! Now, if I could just find a way to slow time down so my hubby can get to all of the projects around here :hmmm

With the money tree, your hubby could hire helpers. :)

I have look at storage sheds and all, even have got a quote on some. I am looking out my window thinking, boy a bunny barn would look good under that dogwood tree. If you find the money tree, send me a branch off of it :D

Dennie I do just that! I'm like think of all the cages you could put in there! When i go house hunting in the future, I'm gonna look for a detached garage and or several outbuildings that can be converted. My car can stay outside while the bunnies enjoy the building. The car doesn't have Kitsickles in the winter! :P
