Section 1: General Conduct Rules

1.1: Language - On occasion drivers have been known to swear at their mistakes. Some drivers don't mind that some drivers may. Please keep the use of profanity at your self or towards other drivers to a minimum. Any driver who conducts himself in a disorderly manner towards another driver, and verbally abuses another driver will face a 1 race suspension or longer if needed. Point fines ranging from 25-100 points could be issued pending what was said/done.

1.2: Controlling Your Car - You are responsible for controlling your car at all times, during green and yellow flag conditions in the race, practice, happy hour, and test sessions. The admins will be keeping a eye on everyone to make sure they can control their car. If we see you consistently spinning or getting into people we will tell you ride in the back for awhile in the race or not even start the race. The Administration reserves the right to park any driver who they feel is a potential hazard on the track.

1.3: Respect Others - Admins will not deal with people who consistently show no respect for others, or have unnecessary attitudes if needed. You must respect the admins, drivers, and anyone else involved in the league both on and off the track.

1.4: Intentional Wrecking - If you feel you have been wrecked intentionally by someone during a race, please tell the race director and/or admins and it will be looked at. Intentionally wrecking will not be tolerated and could result in point fines, race suspensions, or being banned. This goes for all NASRA events, including: practice, happy hour, races, both before, during, and after and also test sessions.

1.5: Driver To Driver Problems - This will be handled in an civil adult manner. If you have an issue it will be settled privately with the help of a mediator if necessary.

1.6: Complaints - If you have a complaint or a problem with another driver, email or talk an admin for resolution. Posting on the forum or emailing any comments about other drivers will get you suspended or banned.

Section 2: General Racing Rules

2.1: Connection - To Compete in NASRA, you must have a Broadband Internet Connection. We strongly discourage the use of wireless internet. If we feel a driver's connection is causing a problem, we may ask the driver to pit and fix there connection. If more then 3 other drivers complain to an admin about the driver's warp issues, the admins will ask that driver to park until the connection issue is fixed.

2.1a: Connection Help - Use 'Control-C' to monitor your connection during races. This will show you your latency, quality and skew. If you are in the 'red', your connection is having issues and is affecting your fellow drivers and their ability to race safely.

2.2: Race Settings - Hardcore mode will not be used, if needed you may use aids. Any view will be allowed also. All races will use fixed setups, fixed weather, clear 70 degrees and no wind. Races will be around 100-150 laps or miles, depending on track size.

2.2a: Field Size - At each NASRA event, we will start 25 cars. The top 15 in owner points will be locked in and won't have to worry about speed. The rest of the field are set by speed. If needed a champions provisional will be used. In the case a car in the top 15 in owner points doesn't show up, more cars will get in by speed. So if 2 cars locked in do not show up at a short track, 12 cars will get in by speed and 13 by owner points. If needed, a past champion provisional can be used by the most recent NASRA champion. 30 cars will be permitted to start the Daytona 150.

2.3: Day/Time - NASRA Cup Series will run on Thursday night's at 8:00pm EST. The Grand National Series will run Wednesday nights at 8:00pm EST. The SuperTruck Series will run Tueday nights at 8:00pm EST.

2.4: Cars - Cars can be painted by you or requested. The only requirements, are that the car be appropriate (no nudity, cursing, gang signs, etc.), professional looking, and that it is either on a 2008 Chevrolet Impala SS, Dodge Charger, Ford Fusion, or Toyota Camry for the NASRA Cup Series.

For the NASRA Grand National Series, it must be on a 2007-2008 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, 2007-2008 Dodge Charger, 2007-2008 Ford Fusion, or a 2007-2008 Toyota Camry.

For the NASRA SuperTruck Series, it must be on a 2005-2008 Chevrolet Silverado, 2005-2008 Dodge Ram, 2005-2008 Ford F-150, or a 2005-2008 Toyota Tundra.

2.4a: Car Deadline - If you have a new car or are new to NASRA, you must send in your car that you're racing by 5:00 PM EST that day of the race. If a car file is not up, you will not be permitted to race.

2.5a: Special Paint Schemes - Each driver is given 5 car file slots for Cup, 4 for Grand National, and 3 for the SuperTruck Series. No Car Overwrites are permitted.

2.5b: Teams - You can have no more than 5 cars per team. Teams must have a realistic team name.

2.6: Substitute Drivers/Missing Races - If a driver is going to miss a race, they will be permitted to have a substitute driver. The substitute will recieve the driver points, while the car will recieve the owner points. If a sub is used the original driver will recieve no points. The original driver may request a provisional (last place points) for themselves and the car, as long as there is no substitute.

2.7: Provisionals - Drivers who run full-time can have up to 3 Provisionals. Drivers who run part-time cant request a provisional. When you request a provisional, you will recieve last place points for that race.

2.8: Method Of Starting - On Restarts every lap car goes to the inside of the leaders but if the lap car starts a wreck with a top 5 car then that car will be black flagged. There will be no lagging back on starts/restarts, doing so can results in a black flag. Also, burnouts on the starting grid will not be allowed.

2.9: Lucky Dog/Racing Back/Yellow Flags - We are not racing back to the line. When the yellow flag comes out, don't slow down suddenly. Please ease off the gass gradually. If you are in the middle of a pass when the yellow flag comes out, use your best judgment as to who should in what position coming to the yellow. One position should not matter a great deal during the middle of the race with 5 laps or less laps to go, racing will be allowed. All drivers will hold their position and not attempt to pass when the yellow flag comes out. This does not include passing cars that are way off the pace due to an accident. These cars may be passed as long as it can be done safely and without causing any problems. Leaders can not give laps back to lap cars. Lap cars may not try to race the leaders to get a lap back. We will also use the 'Lucky Dog' Rule seen in NASCAR. The first car a lap down will be received the 'Lucky Dog Award'. The driver must pit the 2nd time thru the pits and make sure to get a end of longest line penalty. The 'Lucky Dog Award' will not be used with less than 10 laps to go.

2.10: Race Restart After Green Flag - A race restart may be issued by an official only once if before the completion of the first lap 1/2 of the starting field has been involved in the accident. Only one race restart will be issued. Do not ask for a restart.

2.11: Passing/Causing Accidents - Can be considered Aggressive driving. This is defined roughly by a driver aggressively diving under another driver which is ahead of him on the race track. If the nose of your car is not up to the rear wheel of your opponent, and a wreck results you could be at fault and penalized. It is the responsibility of the driver behind to execute a clean safe pass. It's up to the driver to lift and wait for a better opportunity to pass. If you're slower than the car behind you, you are expected to hold your line and let the faster traffic pass you. Going under the yellow line at Daytona and Talladega is also considered aggressive driving and can be penalized for passing below the line.

2.12: Pitting - Fake pitting will not be tolerated and can result in a 1 lap penalty or ejection from the race. Once you have committed to pit, you must come to pit road.

2.13: Online Racing Names - As an attempt to sort results easier it is required that drivers will set up their names with there name included in it.. I.E. J_Hunt, Jeff Hunt etc. Those are the only name formats we will accept.

Leader of Most laps - 5

2.15: 2 Incident Rule - If you cause 2 incidents in a race you must park your car when the pits open or 1 lap after, if you continue running around the track you will be ejected. If you are forced to park two races in a row you will not be allowed to compete in the following race. If you are forced to park your car 3 times throughout the year due to 2 incidents you will miss the next race after you hit the 3rd time being parked. When you cause 10 incidents in a season you will be on probation for the next two races after you hit your 10th incident. If you cause a wreck in that probation period you will be missing the following race. If you cause 15 incidents in a season you will not be allowed to compete in the next two races. The replays will be viewed after each race by race officals/admins. If the race offical or admins see someone caused 2 incidents and it was missed during the race, that driver will be credited out on the lap of the 2nd incident. If you cause an incident please type your car number after the yellow was out. If you do not take blame for the incident and we go back to view the replay and see that you did indeed cause the yellow, you will be penalized.

2.15a: Accidents - If there is an accident, smoke, or a car in front of you in trouble, take appropriate action. This is not an opportunity to make up ground on drivers or make a pass on someone who slows for a wreck. If anyone shows a pattern of this, action will be taken, including up to multiple race suspensions and/or point fines.

2.16: Practice/Happy Hour - There will be a 30 minute practice session before every race. Happy hour will be 5 minutes after qualifying. Happy Hour Sessions will be 5 minutes in length. A practice session may be extended in the event one of three or more drivers loose there connection.

2.17: Lap Cars - If a caution comes out with 10 or less laps to go, all cars that are laps down will have to enter pit road on the 2nd caution lap and recieve an end of the longest line penalty. This will allow all cars racing for position on the lead lap a chance to fight for the win or positions.

2.18: Server Problems - If our server boots us during the middle of the race, certain things could happen. If the server drops before the half way point in the race, the race will be restarted but at a shorter distance than before or the race could be postponed. If the server drops after the half way point of the race, the race is official.

2.19: Game Altering Devices - Any game altering devices, programs, etc. will not be tolerated. Randomized tests may be given to any driver at any time without warning. The driver may be asked to save there replay or export. Any driver who fails to provide the adminstration with this information, will be suspended for a minimum of 3 weeks. If a driver has been found to be in ANY violation of this rule, it will be grounds for an immediate ban from NASRA.

Section 3: Chatting

3.1: Practice Chat - You may chat during practice and happy hour, but keep it low and race related. No flaming, cussing, etc.

3.2: Race/Qualifying Chat - There will be no chatting during the race or qualifying. Only auto chat will be allowed during the race, along with such things as "warp #x", "thank you", "sorry", etc. If an admin asks you a question you may answer, if you cause a yellow please admit to it and tell us. First time you chat out of line you will be warned, 2nd time will be ejection from the race.

3.3: Incident Chat - Flaming will result in many possible outcomes, including probation, point fines or race suspensions. If a driver feels he/she must “discuss” an incident or event with another driver, it is to be done in private, away from other members, and not in the race server.

3.4 Auto Chat - Auto chat is highly encouraged by the NASRA admins during the race. This includes a warning of your entry and exit to and from pit road, indicating your intentions when letting faster cars pass, and any other problems or reasons that may require a message.

Section 4: Miscellaneous

4.1: Black Flags - Admins can issue a black flag if a driver jumps a start/restart, drives dangerously, passes under the yellow line at Daytona/Talladega , or for any other moves that can present a danger. Admins will NOT clear black flags, unless they are do to an error on another drivers behalf.

4.2: Forums - There will be no flaming, cussing, name calling, or bad mouthing anyone on the NASRA forums. Doing so could lead to a suspension from the forum. If it continues you could get a point fine, suspension from a race, or banned from the forums.

4.3: Subject to Change - Any of these rules are subject to change at any point in time. If an ammendment is made, the administration will alert the community and a new revised copy of the rulebook will be issued.
