*looks around curiously* A bit empty in here, but oh well! *waves*

I'm Caitlin, a 21-year old college student (about to start my senior year, but also planning to do grad school) majoing in professional writing. I'm actually a very recent fan, having only watched a rare episode or two of of SVU until a few months ago. Even then, I was just a general fan at first. I don't remember what it was that got me into Munch, but I just find the character so interesting.

I also watch Ugly Betty, Samantha Who, House M.D., Monk, Psych, and In Plain Sight, and am a total Harry Potter (MuggleCast and the next movie!) and theater (Musicals and Shakpeare!) geek. And. . .and I don't really have much else to say. XD But hi to everyone!

I feel bad because I wasn't among the first to welcome you. (I'm usually on so much, I get to say hello fairly soon, but changing careers has cut into my online time.)

It's nice to meet you and very cool to have another writer in our midst! We have several, which means this place is a pretty good 'home' for fanfic. There's even a place for original, non-SVU fic, if you're so inclined.

It's great you're studying to become a professional writer. What genre are you hoping to write in? I wrote professionally from 1992 through 1998; various kinds of writing across through a lot of corporations and clients. It's a very fulfilling career path and in my 'off time' I'm working on something for the crime genre. (I'm a cop-fic fan.) I plan to get back into writing full-time again as soon as I can. I sincerely hope you're able to find a niche and exploit it like crazy! biggrin.gif

I love "In Plain Sight," too. Awesome show! While I thought it would be much more serious, the eps keep me interested enough to tune in whenever I can. And I love New Mexico, which is another benefit to watching the show.
