“Come on Case, help me look,” John whined.

“You’re sure you had it with you?”

“Yes, I’m sure. It was on my belt same as usual.”

“It must have fallen off.”

“You think so, Chekov?”

Casey gave him The Glare.

“Sorry, but I’m gonna catch hell for losing my tin.”

“So, if I found it, you’d give me a big reward?” she asked with a smirk.

She held the badge she’d just found in the covers behind her back.

John lunged, trapping both his badge and her hands in one of his.

He reclaimed his property, stole a kiss.

Casey pouted.

“OK a reward.”

She smiled.

“But not now.”

Casey frowned.

“We’re both late for work.”

She sighed and opened the hotel room door
