It's no secret I'm writing my first crime novel, but I hit a small snag: Agents aren't fond of authors who write fanfic, for a wide variety of reasons.

Rather than nuke all of my SVU fanfic on FF.Net, you'll see me change my name over there to Glock35Gal. I'll be reposting fics, creating a profile page, and basically carrying on as usual only with my GG screen name.

I'm not sure when the transition will begin to take place, but I'm thinking it will be next month.

I'm also changing my LJ fic account (cardinal_robbins) to a general writing blog. The object of the game is to *minimize* fanfic hits when a lit agent searches my name.

I'll be tweaking some of my posts here, to accomplish the same thing. Don't worry -- I won't be deleting fic unless it's under the most extreme duress.

I'm hoping, this way, I can have the best of both worlds.
