A few small things come to mind that would do well to get fixed.

First being that this place needs a general MUSIC board, for the discussion of musics that might not pertain to just Metal, I know entertainment technically covers this, but I think it's a bit too vague, a general music board would be helpful.

Next being the forum's appearance. Personally, the appearance of a forum means very little to me, however, this one does have a rather bland feel about it and that has the capability to deter new members. The banner's good and the layout's good, but the color scheme is a tad boring, and as I said, while I don't care in the least, it's good for business to have an interesting color-scheme.

Last being less of a suggestion and more of a rant. Needz moar activity! Should do more for advertising so's to net more new members and get this place moving faster. Making banners that can be put in signatures to advertise the forum is usually the most effective way to get more members, also putting up ads on other larger Metal/music forums (I can assist with this, if you like) will catch more interest, and just spreading the word in general. Advertising a forum and getting it moving is something I know a good bit about (I've brought one forum from being days from being shut down to being one of the most active forums of its theme and I'd say Mayhem is rather successful), so just throwing some suggestions out there.


As for feedback: overall, I like this place, no overly restricting rules (you'd be appauled at how many forums out there will ban you for casual every-day speak or for voicing a negative opinion), great atmosphere, friendly staff, a decent variety of opinions, and an easy-to-use layout. Good works.

I would like to see more colour and I would like to have more abilities on this forum as well.

A year or 2 from now...I'll be getting into Web Design...so getting familiar with the coding of these boards will be a top priority for me. I will make it look the way it should be...As metal as can be. So it'll have to wait for a bit.

As for Activity I've seen my fair share of tremendous activity to nothing at all. my previous forum Metal-Asylum had about 300 members and about half of them posted...until everyone left that is. I am advertising on last.fm band pages mostly...have yet to do it on other forums...I regularly post on ultimatemetal.com so my sig has our promo sig in it...

I've pulled 1 or 2 here...I think.

I know more advertising needs to be done...it's no surprise...I should mass email everyone...letting them know we are still alive and kicking,

For the General Music...It's a good idea...I could put up a sub-forum for Music in general.


I think that's all I have to say for now...if you've got anything to say on what I just said feel free to do so...

hmm. I'm pretty sure I wanted a general music for a while ago when I first joined. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure. I'll troll the locked forums and check it out.

I've checked alot of them...and most of the forums are either dead or have absolutely no activity at all. And none that I found had alot of members on it either.

You might want to try:

I've used it before and it had some great themes. Just make sure you are in the InvisionFree skins forum.
