Death - May 23, 2010 04:45 AM (GMT)
What player do you use?
I used to use Winamp but I really have gone off it and have started using Aimp2 player.

I'm still using Windows Media Player...I'll probably still be using it when I get a new pc with Windows 7

WMP and IItunes are the tow biggest pieces of shit media players to exist (no offense intended).
wingkon - May 24, 2010 05:17 AM (GMT)
It's fine =P
I'll check out Winamp if iTunes ever gives me any problems, but it seems to be doing fine, except that it wouldn't a Deftones album :'(
Death - May 24, 2010 05:23 AM (GMT)
What is the format of the Deftones album? Winamp plays 99%, if not 100% of the formats out there
wingkon - May 24, 2010 05:30 AM (GMT)
Hmm....I'll have to re-acquire it to tell you :\ It also wouldn't upload my Mary Chapin Carpenter album. Where do you find the format?
Death - May 24, 2010 08:01 AM (GMT)
Right click and select properties.
Neon-Black - May 28, 2010 02:53 AM (GMT)
On my laptop I use iTunes because it's Windows and I HATE winamp and WMP. I use rhythmbox on my desktop because it's running linux and I'm way to lazy to learn how to use WINE.

Who the fuck cares if doesn't play all formats or whatever, if It doesn't I just keep searching till it does.
As long as it plays the music, I don't give a fuck. Just sayin'.
Death - May 31, 2010 05:27 AM (GMT)
It keeps you restricted, when for one you can get better formats than mp3. Your loss.

How is it my loss? "HEY GUYS I CAN PLAY MORE FORMATS THAT YOU CAN!" who cares if it's higher quality or whatever...I couldn't give a shit, If I can hear it clearly, I don't really care.
It's still gonna play the same music, by the same band.
wingkon - June 1, 2010 12:37 AM (GMT)
Well iTunes is easier for me than WMP. I just had a lot of troubles with WMP

Fuck It, I am sick of offering advice. Fuck this.

K, I decided to re-open this cause I got sick of Windows Media Player, and decided to use something new lol.
Anyways I'm using Aimp now, and I'm asking you this question "Death".
Howcome the actual player overlaps everything I open up...I basically have to move it to see what's behind it.
Death - July 9, 2010 05:24 AM (GMT)
Ok, in the top right hand corner next to the close button there is a button called "topmost" click that so it says "off". What do you think of AIMP?
Nemesis - July 9, 2010 11:16 AM (GMT)
k, thanks lol...It's pretty kool, I wish it would sort by band and album. Dunno if you can do that.
Death - July 9, 2010 06:11 PM (GMT)
It does, in the bottom left hand corner of the audio library window there is a whole pile of buttons, first and second buttons are the ones you are after. Sort by album and sort by artist.
Nemesis - July 10, 2010 01:11 AM (GMT)
You sure? All I see is:
Sort by title, folder, length, artist.
Death - July 10, 2010 01:34 AM (GMT)
Yes my version starts with Album, then Artist.
Nemesis - July 10, 2010 01:40 AM (GMT)
I've got version V2.51 build 330
what do you have?

K, I just upgraded the version and it still doesn't have it
Death - July 10, 2010 07:32 PM (GMT)
Thats fucked up, when I am using my windows PC next I will have a look at mine and see if I did anything to change the organisation.
wingkon - July 12, 2010 01:35 AM (GMT)
So Death, which media players were you saying would work with iPods? I have a new laptop, and since I'm going to college in August, I figured I might try out a different media player
Death - July 12, 2010 05:50 AM (GMT)
Wing: Winamp works with ipods, as well as Songbird but you need to install plugins for Songbird for it to have that capability.
Neme: My version of AIMP in the audio library in the bottom left corner has these options in order from left to right:
Group By Album
Group By Artist
Group By Year
Group By Genre
<without grouping>
List of Playlists
Portable Devices List
Panel With Information About Selected File
Just click them until you get the layout you want.
wingkon - July 13, 2010 03:11 AM (GMT)
Are they safe to download?
Death - July 13, 2010 05:34 AM (GMT)
Do you think I would recommend something that wasnt? Of course they are man, but you will need to read up on how to use them if you arent that good with computers.
wingkon - July 15, 2010 03:38 AM (GMT)
Good point. Sadly, the only protection I have at the moment is Norton. I just want to do something different once I go to college
necropedophile - April 6, 2011 11:28 AM (GMT)
Good old Windows media player!
I don't really see the point of downloading any other media player :what:
Death - April 7, 2011 09:03 AM (GMT)
WMP is bloated, that is why you would want to download another media player.
wingkon - May 9, 2011 05:33 PM (GMT)
WMP didn't work for me when I got more music. It wouldnt scroll down.
Also, I tried Winamp, but I'm having trouble scrobbling with Last.fm. Also, I can't organize the artists into their respective compliation albums
Death - May 10, 2011 05:38 AM (GMT)
You need to have the last.fm scrobbler installed for Winamp. If you have already installed it before Winamp, uninstall it, download the .exe again and reinstall the scrobbler. It will automatically pick up that you have Winamp installed.
wingkon - May 10, 2011 08:16 AM (GMT)
Alright, but I'm still having some troubles. It doesn't get the album artwork for some of my albums and it doesn't group compliation albums together.
I could just stick with iTunes, but Winamp is waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy faster!
Death - May 10, 2011 09:23 AM (GMT)
I suppose the compilations not grouping is one of Winamps quirks. Sometimes you need to manually add artwork.
wingkon - May 11, 2011 08:08 AM (GMT)
I'm not quite sure how. I click "Add album artwork" and it says it can't be found.
Plus, the Winamp symbol is...non-existent.
I might just stick with iTunes, but it keeps freezing.
