It was New Year's Eve. Some of the X-men and Generation X students had gone home for the winter holidays. Some, like Carol Danvers, codename Binary, would be back in January, but some had returned earlier. Some had never left. It had been those that had remained at the mansion that had requested a party, of course.
A New Year's party had been planned and arranged, with balloons, streamers, and decorations everywhere. Food was available in abundance and variety on tables set up for the event, and the students and X-Men alike had assembled together some music for the evening, to be played well into the night. It was a New Year's Eve party after all, and midnight was the highlight hour.
It was now a quarter to ten, well after the dinner hours and fifteen minutes since the start of the party. Professor Charles Xavier had watched from the second floor as the loud party music had started, and as the residents of the mansion slowly filtered in for the party. As the night's festivities began, the telepathic man retired to his room to leave things to the X-Men and Generation X students.
[OOC: All X-Men and Gen. X students should post here. Conversations and interactions can be with anyone on the thread (but note that Xavier has left the setting; he's an NPC after all) and there are no official posting turns, but common sense in not posting in a row and simultaneously being in both sides of the room and such are obvious.]
