I stared at the sunrise that rose above the mountains. I had gotten to the university early to feed the pigeons, something that I had done back in Arizona mainly because there was nothing else for me to do when I wasn’t in class. It was a relief that I didn’t have class today or else I would be yawning throughout my classes. Also I was thankful that the full moon had passed by. If it was the full moon I probably would have already retreated into the forest. The forest was like a blessing for me. I had more cover for me to shift into my lycan form. I closed my eyes as I strained my ears to try and listen for any pigeons. Even though my hearing was more sensitive than the average human I couldn’t hear any pigeons. Actually I couldn’t hear anything-no other birds or any other animals. It was like the university's campus was lifeless at this hour. I would have thought there would be at least a few owls out and about still but there was nothing. I opened my eyes and looked around. There was no reason why there would be no wildlife around…unless they caught my scent. I lifted an arm and sniffed it delicately. I had thought that me washing in Old Spice body wash would have hidden my wolf-like scent but it seemed like it wasn’t strong enough. I would have to try harder if I was going to mask my true scent from the wildlife on the university's campus. Maybe next time I will bribe the birds to come down and eat the stale bread that I might have. Though today’s stale bread would go to waste. I didn’t dare put it down in case a police officer saw me tossing food on the ground with no birds nearby and cite me for doing that. Sighing softly to myself, I shoved the bag of bread into the bag that I had brought with me. It was the same bag that I used to carry my school books and a random sketch book that I carried around whenever I was in a drawing mood (which wasn’t very often nowadays). A few moments later, I took out my cell phone and flipped it open to check to see if I had any missed calls or text messages.
