Unknown to all, the bio-nuclear bombardment of World War IV had altered the Human genome. A new and strange species of Humanity emerged: the Axion. Human beings who possessed astounding, sometimes frightening abilities. The radioactive fallout of the last world war altered the course of Human evolution spawning a new race borne from the irradiated genes of common Homosapiens. Initially they were only feared. But time was not long before fear gave way to mistrust. Contempt not far behind

CY 2609

Apprehensive of losing the fragile peace they had attained the War Council created the Axion Suppression and Control Act. Under this law Axions were forced to surrender to routine examinations and DNA registration with the Law District or face swift and severe sentencing. The War Council began close monitoring of Axionkind, hoping to deter any possible future Axion insurgents

CY 2618

Thousands were subjected to inhumane experiments in the name of helping Axions cope with their inhuman abilities. The vamp did not last long. Axions, not wanting to be controlled, rebelled against an establishment that wanted only to control or eliminate them. Violent riots soon began. A frustrated War Council responds to civil unrest by creating the Genetic Manifesto, a formal declaration of Human Genetic Superiority and infallibility and in many other respects, a declaration of war. These 'Gene Laws' lead to the vehement proscription of the very existence of any form of organic sentient life not entirely and verifiably human. The very state of being an Axion was considered treason against Man

TODAY

Humanity’s fate is uncertain. Corrupt corporations spew propaganda to lethargic masses. Axion-related crime is at an all-time high. Within the Megacity a silent war is being fought between Humanity and its wayward offspring

Powers which affect an individual's body


Accelerated Healing

Ability to heal rapidly from any injury; the rate of recovery varies from character to character


Acid Generation

Ability to generate acid, can be manifested through touch or as a spray


Animal Mimicry

Ability to take on the abilities of certain animals


Biological Manipulation

Ability to control certain aspects of one’s own biological make-up. This includes, but is not limited to, genetic alterations, physical distortion/augmentations, healing, disease, and biological functions


Body Part Substitution

Ability to replace one's limbs or other body parts with those of another


Duplication

Ability to create physical duplicates of oneself


Echolocation

Ability to determine location of items in the environment by use of reflected sound waves, whether generated by the character or ambient sound. Also known as sonar or radar sense


Invisibility

Ability to render the user unseen to the naked eye


Kinetic Absorption

Ability to absorb forms of kinetic energy into oneself and utilize it in some way, such as by converting it into physical strength or using it to power energy blasts


Matter Ingestion

Ability to consume any sort of matter without any ill effects on the user


Merge

Ability to temporarily merge two beings into a single being, which results in a completely new and stronger being


Night Vision

Ability to see clearly in darkness


Pheromone Manipulation

Ability to generate and control pheromones which may have various effects


Poison Generation

Ability to assault others with one or more varieties of toxins, with widely disparate effects

Ability to generate vocal sounds of a higher amplitude than a normal human

Ability to have a higher resistance to one or more forms of damage before being injured

Mental and Knowledge-based Powers


Powers that heighten intellect, perception, or allow for enhanced skills


Bioimprinting

Ability to take control and inhabit the mind and body of an individual. While imprinting, all tactile sensation is felt as normal. Death of the users true body while imprinting results in the permanent residence of imprinted form


Danger Sense

An extremely limited form of Precognition that alerts the user on the subconscious level of impending threats to their person. It grants the user a vague 'sense' of what direction danger is coming from, however, it cannot sense 'cross-dimensional' threats [i.e., a Teleporters attack], or be triggered willfully


Ecological Empathy

The ability to sense the overall well-being and conditions of one's immediate environment and natural setting stemming from a psychic sensitivity to nature


Empathy

Ability to read or sense the emotions and/or control the emotions or feelings of others


ESP

The abilities of extra-sensory perception (ESP) and communication


Innate Capability

Ability to naturally have skills and/or knowledge typically earned through learning


Memory Manipulation

Ability to erase or enhance the memories of another


Mental Projection

Ability to project one's consciousness/emotions into another, or separate one's mind from their form, and traverse the world as the mental avatar of their physical self


Precognition

Ability to perceive the future. It may be expressed in vague dreams while asleep, other times it can be as clear as a vision. Cannot be triggered willfully.


Psionic Blast

Ability to overload another's mind causing pain, memory loss, lack of consciousness, vegetative state or death after having created a psionic link into that individual's mind


Psychometry

Ability to relate details about the past or future condition of an object or location, usually by being in close contact with it


Superhuman Intelligence

Intelligence far above that of a genius level


Superhuman Tracking

Ability to track an individual or object through an innate sense; sometimes referred to as "pathfinding."


Techopathy

Ability to manipulate technology. Manifested as a special form of electrical/telekinetic manipulation, a special form of "morphing" which allows physical interaction with machines, or even a psychic ability that allows for mental interface with computer data


Telekinesis

Ability to manipulate and control objects with the mind, often in ways not visible to the naked eye. The strain on the user is proportionate to the mass of the object being manipulated, with heavier objects causing greater strain. Telekinetic overexertion can lead to fatigue, physical and mental weakness, or the temporary 'burning out' of one's telekinetic abilities
