Deano's departure

Im sure you all know that Deano leaves in February, when his final scenes will air. Is anyone else disappointed by how he leaves? They're getting rid of a great character and great actor with that kind of exit?!

I think it's a really interesting exit, I think I heard Matt say somewhere he was happy with it. Still, I wish he wasn't leaving!

And about Matt leaving, I think its a good time for him to go, just after strictly he has new fan's and better oppertunities the he would have had before.

Stopped watching the show just before Matt came on but I started again early this year and that's how I fell in love with him.

I agree that his ending isn't very nice cos they've really changed his character. I hope he returns in the future as a reformed man!

Personally Im looking forward to seeing this exit, as Matt says its very unusual, and therefore will be interesting.

Plus it will feature a lot of Linda Henry, an absolutley brilliant actress, and her work alongside Matt so far has bought some good performances outta him...

I am sad Deano is going... but I feel hes been a wasted character - esp in the last year (until the Sean thing which was more interesting at least..)

Personally I LOATHED the "Who's yr Daddy?" plotline at the beginning of 2007... such a hoary old soap cliche... We've all seen this a million times before... was that all the execs at EE could come up with for the Wicks?? THey'd made such a fuss over bringing in this new family... then they were neglected in the main, and given the most tired, overused soap cliched storyline ever!!

Do U think the EE bosses will regret getting rid of Matt at the same time he's just become 10 times more popular??

I started watching Eastenders just to see Matt in it. I'm so sad he's going - I bet they do regret it now!

Only a few days till we see him, but the deadline for a big piece of coursework is the 7th Feb too, so I'm kind of wishing it to come to see Matt, but at the same time worrying about my project!

Yeah I know I really should but comparing the correlation between life expectancy and water supply in Afirica and Europe isn't the most exciting topic....

I thought it was a great dramatic departure and the action between him and Shirley, and Sean, was great.
Probably the grossest scar make-up I've ever seen in a soap on his arms.
Sad he's gone though, but I guess at least there's always the possibility he could return... Even though I'm sure at the moment he's keen to do different roles. But we can all live in hope!

His exit was brillaint!!

Very well acted out. He's good at playing Deano like that. V sad to see him go though. But was a great exit imo!
