Mass Effect 3, The Final Game...Beware Spoilers Ahead!

Seems that Mass Effect 3 (whilst we already knew was confirmed a while ago), has had something leaked from it which is an actual cover of the game and some information on what the story will be about.

Essentially, the Reapers are pretty much on their way by the sound of it (they didn't confirm if it was the Geth either as they said "Machines" but I think it's fairly obvious that it's the Reapers that the description refers to) and are going to invade Earth and Commander Shephard must lead one final mission to stopping them.

Although from what I hear, the plot sounds even more Halo Tier in terms of story. And with the addition of multiplayer, I fear that EA is involving itself a little too much in ME's business...

I will be fair and say that I too thought of Halo 3 when I heard the description. That's not to say that's a bad thing by any means.

And I don't think I recall anything about there being multiplayer confirmed for the game (there is that other shooter they are working which is like Mass Effect but will have multiplayer).

This game will be cool but I feel that in the coming months It will be waaaay too hyped up and we will all be sad when we find out its not that much different than ME3.

Im still going to buy it, but I really just want to be able to break off from shepard and be able to make a turian, salarian, krogan, or asari. That'd just be swell.

Not to sound like I'm attacking you and all, but...

Mass Effect is the story about Shephard, the Spectre and about his journey across the galaxy to save humanity from the Reapers.

I do however hope in a spinoff or another series based in the ME universe that we do get to do that.

Being as good as ME2? That isn't a bad thing necessarily, ME2 was pretty damn good. Still I do hope it does far better.

I agree that ME2 was awesome and I am looking forward to ME3 I just hope they arnt like call of duty and make everything just more of the same.

When they finish up ME3, maybe they can work on either Dragon Age 3 or possibly Mass Effect Universe...

You know, the obviously impending MMORPG? Because The Old Republic won't do as well as anyone will hope?

The story synopsis seems a little cliche, but I am sure BioWare has another one of their "twists" that makes the game more interesting.

After watching the VGA Trailer for ME 3, I am presented with a grim thought in my mind, in which the war-torn Commander is presented with a choice, to save Humanity, or the entire Galaxy.

Cool looking story bro.

But still worried there isn't going to be a signature BioWare twist to it.

Shepard and his squad are a figment of Joker's imagination - personalities created by his subconciousness to help him save the galaxy.

Or Shepard was a weapon made by the Protheans to destroy the Reapers once and for all, and the Reapers are invading Earth to find it because the Protheans buried it there.

What, this is BioWare. I know I mentioned a signature twist, but that doesn't mean it'll be unexpected.

The Asari were designed by an ancient, long-extinct race to be components of a living library.
