3 years after the events of gradius gaiden, the people of planet Gradius were enjoying a great time of peace, but one day a strange signal was sent arcoss the there networks. the signal carryed deadly computer virus that disabled the bulk of the Gradius armed forces. It was discovered that the viral signal was sent by none other then the bactireum army them selfes, they used the virus as a waring that "all who apose us are powerless to stop us!", but they where only partly right: a small fleet had escaped the viral signal and are now on there way to distyroy the bactireaum forces before they can attack planet Gradius, lead by the great vic viper himself!

(each ship has 'options' small balls of energy the follow the ship and help it fight. they basity have the same weapons your ship has and will fire at the same time you do. also every ship has a missle type ((that you can make up)) and pluse lazer)
