Chora's Den, A Gentle Men's Club In The Wards

[Kolroy]

Kolroy walked in, as usual there were the drunkards, drooling perverts and also some smugglers or bodyguards. He sat himself down by a table nearer to the empty side, although he was asked a few times by Asari or Human dancers, he shunned them away. As he waited for his meeting, he ordered himself some water, and waited.

Kolroy looked around, the humans have really started to socialize with other species, he saw Humans with asaris, Humans talking to krogans and even Salarians doing business with the Humans! Kolroy never particularly liked humans but they never bothered him.

Herus walked into Chora's like so many times during the past few weeks. This time though, it wasn't to break up a brawl which was a thankful change.

The bouncer at the door moved to bar him entry, before stopping short when he saw his face. "We're not causing any trouble today, Mr. Naltar. Not after the raids."

"Good. I'll just wait a while and see if that's true." Pushing past, he spotted the Valkyrie member passing on offers by the locale's dancers.

"Make this quick." Herus snapped as he sat down. "Chances are there's another brawl on schedule today and I prefer not to be a part of it."

[Kolroy]

"Ah, you have arrived, i do intend to make my point, but 'Make it Quick" may not be possible." Kolroy sipped his water, "First things first, i think we may have gotten off on the wrong foot, or did you purposely..."Step On Toes" as humans say?" He eyed the Officer, he could see a courageous person through his eyes, fierce and bold. "Valkyrie works with C-Sec, we always have and always will, we don't intend to break the bonds...i have a mission but i do not have to leave immediately, i was hoping i could persuade you to..." Kolroy stopped suddenly, "...buy our products."

Under the cover of the table he used his Omni-tool to type the Officer a message, "We're Being Watched, Your 5"

Herus idly toyed with his omni-tool, picking up the message.

"Pfft. We're in a shady bar in the Wards, specifically Chora's of all places."

He leaned in to speak softly to Kolroy. "Everybody watches everybody else here. The Council, the Hierarchy, the Systems Alliance, the Shadow Broker, you name them, they're here watching. Statistically speaking, even C-Sec would have had someone here at one point, though I wouldn't admit to even that."

Herus leaned back. "The question here is that whether the products you *sell* are of interest to everybody or a specific group that... dislikes competition."

He typed in a message. "Aggressive or passive?"

Kolroy Leaned closer as well, "So you are interested in our products? They are quite Passive turian exoskeleton products." He typed on his Omni-tool again, "Depends." and sent the message, "Apparently our product can even make Ilos shine! It is truly marvelous, i'm assured that if we sent a team there it would!

The Valkyrie Member hoped that he had made his point, this officer was of great value, he saw it was a waste to have him rot in paperwork.

Herus's body language shifted as he picked out the offer in Kolroy's words.

He was angry.

Twenty-five years of distinguished service to Citadel Security. He had spent over half of his life in the ranks, given much to the job, even his leg. It galled him to think that people believed that he would do anything else for a living.

"Listen here, cadet." Herus spoke, giving the demeaning title a vicious twist. "I've spent many years working the beat and behind a desk. And I can safely say that such an endeavour is beneath me. Maybe you'll find someone here that's more your temperament. But not me."

[Kolroy]

"Again with the temper," Kolroy said, thinking that the officer could actually aid him, what was he thinking! "i'm sorry then, i am, i not trying to offend you, Kolroy leaned back on his chair.

This was a wild goose chase, with the C-Sec officer breathing down his back he could never hire anyone, maybe some luck around other places might do it, maybe Virmire? Noveria? No no the Citadel was the place.

Kolroy's Omni-tool flashed on with the same reminder, "URGENT" he tapped it around and he shifted his body and read it again. Bad news.

"I'm in a rush but i would like to make one point clear, if i had my choice, you'd be on my crew in no time, i respect you, you were all over Palaven screens when the "Illegal Weapons Raid" was handled by you." He breathed in before continuing.

"I thought that you would like to enjoy the field again, i was wrong but listen here, the offer still stands until i leave..." he stood up and walked away but not before tapping the officer on his shoulder.
He seemed different, a dark side of the naturally polite Turian.

"Never Call me Cadet."

Herus watched Kolroy leave him.

"Recruits these days." he muttered. The other turian seemed to be a good person to know but the idealism that drove Kolroy was long gone in the C-Sec officer, worn down by years of service.

He stood up and left, heading back to C-Sec.

From an alcove in the aide of the bar, another turian, one without any clan face markings, watched with interest at Kolroy's and Herus's conversation. Tucking a discrete directional microphone back into its casing, Tyrus Melcinus finished off his drink before leaving the bar as well. The weapons dealer made his way at a distance after Kolroy.

Kolroy walked down the wards, he knew someone was following him, he exhibited the obvious signs, the stalker was good, kept his distance and played a perfect script but of course, coming from Valkyrie, Kolroy was an expert as well in the rules of espionage.

Kolroy turned a quick corner, giving off the impression that he was making a run for it, after moving out of the line of sight for a few seconds he quickly and swiftly pulled out his pistol and aimed it at where the stalker's head would be.

Years of practice was needed to master this maneuver and he did it without any signs of a fake.

Tyrus watched Kolroy disappear smartly around the corner. Running blind after him would be a rookie mistake. Either he had moved far enough to be out of sight or he would be just around the corner, probably armed. Not hearing footsteps echoing from the hall, Tyrus opted to call out.

"Your C-Sec friend will be none to happy should you be foolish enough to shoot strangers."

He checked his kinetic barriers, making sure they were working. Just in case.

[Kolroy]

Kolroy decided that it wasn't worth it, if the stalker could see through the trick, it'd be a waste to kill him, "I don't think the C-Sec Officer likes me at all." He put down his gun and stepped out, "My name is Kolroy, now why are you following me?"

Kolroy fingered his gun, just in case, tapping it patiently, the other stalker was a Turian, older than himself but he had years of service, he could smell it.

"Would you believe me if I said that this is the way to my shop?" quipped Tyrus. He walked around the corner, hands in plain sight.

"Tyrus Melcinus, purveyor of quality and exotic weaponry. In my preferred market, I find it pays to keep an eye out for new business or potential competition. And you, Kolroy, present the possibility of both."

[Kolroy]

Kolroy raised his gun, and tapped his Omni-tool, looking up the file for Tyrus, Kolroy raised an eyebrow, "Come clean fellow Turian, lies cost you death in the world of Espionage," he put his gun back on his hip.

"What kind of weapons seller, even illegal has almost no personal info?" Kolroy crossed his arms, "Theres a reason you're following me, i doubt it's because of arms so tell me."

Once again, Kolroy smiled on the inside, being in Valkyrie had it's advantages. "Don't lie to me," Kolroy pulled out a hologram screen-card reading...

"Valkyrie Saber"

Brow raised on his clanless face, Tyrus coolly held Kolroy's gaze.

"Espionage? I'm afraid that you are quite mistaken. Unless the Valkyrie Alliance has all of a sudden decided to regulate corporate secrets, I have nothing of interest to you. Unless you need a weapon, of course. That pistol you're holding is quite inferior to the rating of my personal barriers. I do recommend you acquire something not quite so inadequate."

That, of course, disregarded the biotic abilities Tyrus had, a factor not yet mentioned.

"I can assure you that I am a legitimate and registered merchant with licences to practically every specialist arms manufacturer in Citadel space. I take very personal care to maintain that status. So talk of technology from Ilos is something one has to investigate if one is to stay on top of the pack."

((Kolroy, no-one knows that Tyrus is an agent. Not even inside the Hierarchy Intelligence dept., only his handlers. So Valkyrie won't know. He's also a legit merchant who happens to have underworld dealings.))

[Kolroy]

"Hmmph" Kolroy grunted, "Well i'm not looking for weapons at the moment, but maybe we could keep in touch, i have business with a ship and a crew, good day." Kolroy said as he walked away.

Kolroy walked slowly, his feet made clicking noises on the metal floor.
"Now..." he said to himself, "A crew...where might i find a crew.
