Race: Turian
Gender: Male
Age: 46
Eye/Hair Color: Steel Grey; N/A
Allegiance: Council
Occupation: Spectre
Physical Description: Varus is large, even for a Turian. Just by looking at him, it is easy to see that he is a veteran. His exoskeleton is marred by many scars, and he is proud of each one. He stands and walks upright, showing that he is an extremely proud creature, and while he was lucky enough to keep all of his limbs through his long and eventful life, his left leg has an ever so subtle limp.
Biography: Varus was born the son of a decorated Turian general, and from his youth was pressured to be the best of the best. When he turned fifteen he enlisted in the military, and quickly rose through the ranks. It was obvious that he had been raised to be a warrior, and the blood of his father showed itself in his veins. But he never had much love for what he did. He fought because from his childhood he had believed that conflict was necessary to life. He worked hard to be a great soldier because he believed that by doing this thing that he had no great love for, he was helping make a good, peaceful life for all those who did not have his strength or skill.
When he was 32, he was inducted into the Spectres, an event that was of no great surprise to those who had known him in his youth and through his years in the military. As a Spectre, he fought harder than ever before to preserve life as it was in Council space. Though his spirit burned out quickly witnessing all of the death and destruction, he held onto his conviction that what he was doing was the best thing he could do for others.
As of now, he still holds a Spectre status, though he is all but retired. He only takes an occasional mission when it is specially assigned to him, when it needs his special touch. Sometimes he will help C-Sec where they need it. He has never taken a mate or reproduced, and the few lovers he has had have been far between and have rarely lasted for any substantial amount of time. Occasionally he'll make friends with a pretty lady on the Citadel, but he never pursues a lasting relationship. For the most part he is bitter and caustic, rude toward anyone who approaches him, and prefers to spend his days alone and in quiet peace.
