Biography:

Born on the backwater world of Halison, Cadet Marrick has spent the majority of his life in the hands of the Systems Alliance military. Rescued in the aftermath of an attack on the colony world by an Alliance Rapid Response Picket in system, Marrick was only four when he was picked up by a Marine shore party. The parents of the child are presumed to have been killed in the raid, but due to heavy damage to planetary data networks, it is unknown what happened for sure.

James Marrick was transferred into Alliance sponsored military schooling a few months following his rescue from hostile forces, and showed a remarkable aptitude in an educational environment. During his teenage years, Cadet Marrick would be selected to attend the prestigious Irais Academy due to his high marks in classes and an exceptional grasp of military tactics.
