Forum Rules

Grammar - Since this is an English speaking/writing site we expect everyone here to be able to read and write in English. Those who are less versed in English are still welcome, but should ask for help.

While we here at MEU do not mean any disrespect or offense to non-native English speakers, once it becomes abundantly clear that you do not have a strong command of the English language despite attempted assistance, it may in your best interest to seek an alternative forum for roleplay, but as fans of Mass Effect, you are welcome to stay.

No Random Threads - Please do not create a random thread, please create a thread that is worth RPing in. Do not post in another thread if it is not on topic.

Creating a "looking for players/group" thread in the appropriately designated area on the board can assist with reducing the number of non-active threads.

Be Active - Please try to log into the forum as often as you can, or please post that you may be gone for awhile. Failure to do so, especially in the instances of member-controlled factions/organizations/important characters will be determined by Staff to be utilized as NPC for the duration of a thread or event. This is a rule of courtesy to prevent inactivity from holding up the community.

Please Do Not Jump Around - We do not want to see you posting with the same character in every thread. Also do not jump your character from place to place, when you go from one place to another with out posting much at a thread it gets annoying.

Sig Rules - Sigs may be no larger than 500x250. Anything larger will get you a warning, and if you don't change it then you won't get to use the signature.

No Flaming - It's fine to get angry at another person's character while being in-character, but when it leaves the RPing and gets personal, then you've crossed the line.

No Double Posting or Bumping - We are aware that some have already done this, and it's not necessarily illegal, but it's a lot better if you let someone else contribute to the thread.

Keep All Activities PG-13 - This applies for language, character actions and posts. (Basically, no explicative between every word and no sex/overly gory scenes) There are certain exceptions.

No Puppeting/Character Control - If you've talked ahead of time with the person who's character you're controlling, then fine. But otherwise it's strictly prohibited. (This also means getting permission from the owner of the character of you intend to kill them)

Cbox Rules

1 No Spamming. Spamming is going to be defined as making 6 or more posts within a minute that does not relate to anything on the Cbox.

2 No Impersonating. Please do not act like someone else it confuses people and is not respectful.

3 No bad links. If you are found to have a link to an inappropriate website you will be punished.

4 No excessive swearing. Swearing should not occur frequently in the Cbox. You don't need to swear to get your point across. While it is fine in RP, it should be moderated in the cbox.

Consequences

First Offense: Warning via PM, possible warning level increase

Second Offense: Half hour ban, warning level increase

Third Offense: Two day ban

Fourth Offense: At Staffs Discretion
