Title: Guns & Booze
Description: Private: Dust and judodave

The main floor of the Temptress nightclub was as busy as ever and the patrons where enjoying the booze, the music, the strippers or all of the above.

However by the bar sat an unusual site, Temptress's owner was on the floor for once enjoying a beer and wearing her leather "Temptress outfit", a black jacket over a matching top that only covered her breasts, black pants and black boots, there was a good reason for it as well as it was Sally's first night as a waitress and she had insistent on observing her progress herself. "That and this way I can keep perverts from hitting on my little sister." Andrea thought as Walk With Me In Hell by Lamb of God, her latest request, started to play.

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 06:36 AM (GMT)
It was a good day, business was booming.. effectively, it only took one costumer to set her up for the next month, plus there was Ezramon's monthly retainer payment that kept her from digging into her savings, she didn't like doing that. It was a bitter and vivid indication that she had not yet obtained her goal, and infact, appeared to be far from him.

Fortunately, this wasn't one of those cases, so she decided to celebrate. She had heard of the club, Temptress, a new hotspot on Illium. When she arrived there, she wasn't disappointed by it's outside appearance, even on a place like Illium, it still stood out as quite the spectacle.

Though having run afoul of trouble many many times before in seemingly harmless environments, she wasn't so comfortable as to arrive in club wear, no.... the armour stays on until she's behind several blast doors, a contingent of mech's and a vast array of automatted turrets. Call her paranoid, she'd call it experienced with what can happen when you don't 'suit up' when going outside.

Sure she got odd looks from patrons, and the guards were weary of her being so armed, however since she wasn't packing a CAIN or a revenant assault rifle, she was permitted to keep them on her person. She wish she had the fortitude to do that hand twist thing to bring people to their knee's, she'd have done that if one of the guards tried to deprive her of her pistols.... fortunately, that didn't appear to be neccersary. They both saved face.

She entered the club and proceeded straight towards the bar, she wasn't much of a dancer... not public dancing anyway, put her infront of a game though and that's another story. She sat down adjacent to the bar and idly tapped her hands on the counter waiting for someone to come and take her order.

judodave - December 7, 2011 07:01 AM (GMT)
Andrea had ordered herself a light alcoholic drink when she received a message on her onmi-tool from one of the guards at the front door telling of a woman who had entered the club armed with a gun, normally she would shrug it off as she had lived in the Terminus Systems long enough to know that a woman going out without some form of protection was asking for trouble, however it was the identity of the woman that had caught Andrea's attention.

"Hotshot." Andrea thought as she read the message, she had heard of her off course, it was next to impossible to live in the Terminus systems and not be familiar with her craftsmanship when it came to weapons and there was the fact that she, like Andrea, was an associate of Ezramon, sure enough the Asian woman entered the club and sat down a couple of seats down from Andrea, she looked her up and down as she walked past her before motioning an Asari bartender over. "See her?" Andrea said pointing to Hotshot. "Whatever she orders tonight is on the house, if she asks tell her the owner insisted."

"Yes Ms. McKenzie." The Asari nodded before going over to Hotshot, Sally, who was nearby, looked up confused thinking someone was addressing her but returned to her duties once she realized that the Asari was talking to her sister.

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 07:09 AM (GMT)
Ah. An asari, of course there were asari bartenders, this was Illium after all. May not be a "republic" world, but slice it any which way... asari ran the show on this planet. You could replace one with another race and other asari run interests would likely cannibalize you for trying to upstart them.

She wondered how long it'd be before some aspiring asari gunsmith tried to bring her to kneel and either sell out or move out, that or some blood sucker type trying to devour her business and make it one of many other companies that had sold out for a quick cash injection.

It was at this point she realised she'd been staring blankly at the asari for a few minutes, to which she shook her head and apologized. "Sorry uhh... got lost in my head for a moment, ummm... I'lllll haaaave theeeeee..... hmmm.... the Illium Sunrise, thanks" she said casually, reading from the counter side menu.

The Illium Sunrise was a non-alcoholic beverage, a 'pretty' drink as it were, a mocktail. Rather than treat herself, she'd treat her body to some healthy carbs and immuno boosters, apparantly it was uplifting for the mind as well as the body.

When she went to wave her omni tool over the card reader to pay for the drink the asari informed her that it was on the house and indicated the owner, pointing to said person, insisted after Sakoda queried what the catch was.

She took the tube drink and looked over to Andrea, holding up the glass in a toast from a few seats away before taking in the drink, refreshing indeed.

judodave - December 7, 2011 07:51 AM (GMT)
Andrea rose her glass in response and Sally went off towards the centre of the club to pick up some empty glasses, Andrea finished her drink and turned to the bartender ordering the same drink, when she turned around again she saw Sally being harrased by two Turians and a human, each male and each at least a foot taller than Sally, sighing in annoyance Andrea got up out of her seat and approached them as one of the Turians grabbed Sally by the wrist as she tried to get away from them.

"Hey Tartas, looks like this babe wants to join the party." The clearly drunk human said and the Turian looked up.

"This "babe" happens to be her older sister and the owner of this nightclub, if you know what's good for you you'd leave her alone." Andrea said angrily, Tartus scoffed before throwing Sally to the ground. "Big mistake asshole."

"Or what?" The Turian asked but barely had time to react before Andrea lifted him biotically and sent him flying accross the club before crashing into an unoccupied table, his friends drew guns on Andrea who subsequently drew her gun as well.

"That was me asking nicely." Andrea said as she glared at them. "Don't make me ask again."

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 08:06 AM (GMT)
Her attention was drawn to the sound of biotics and smashing tables, closely followed by that scratched record noise that one hears when something has happened to bring a party to an abrupt halt. She leaned around in her chair and noticed that the owner, Andrea, had begun a 'dispute' with some bar patrons.

And then the guns came out. She scoffed lightly to herself :: Boys and their toys :: she mused silently to herself as she watched the event unfold.

The drunkards friends drew guns on Andrea who subsequently drew her gun as well.

"That was me asking nicely." Andrea said as she glared at them. "Don't make me ask again."

She hummed and haar'd about whether or not to get involved, The Great Sakoda Toku was an [attempted] established name of fine gun construction, premium... construction that is, not some barfly that gets involved in gunfights at nightclubs. People couldn't take her seriously otherwise, not like she didn't have to contend with height issues.

She sighed then a smirk crossed her features :: What better way to earn a reputation than being so damn confident of your wares that you'd bet your own life on them? :: she mused some more and got up off her seat, prying both her Sin Guns from their clamps she extended her arms outright towards the drunkard patrons.

"Unless you want to become the new showcase examples of what Hotshot Bushido Wares can do to a trio of dead men walking, I think you should drop your pea shooters and just leave, or heatsinks, either works for me" she said with all the confidence she could muster.

If nothing else, the longer they took to contemplate their next move, the closer security must be to coming in and wailing on them, she hoped.

judodave - December 7, 2011 08:21 AM (GMT)
Andrea glanced over at Hotshot as she got involved in the incident, she knew better than to take her eyes off of an armed enemy during a stand-off, it was one of the first things she learned during her days as a mercenary, the other thing, off course, being how persuasive the option of sex with a beautiful woman was when trying to persuade men. and some women to help in her jobs.

"Truth be told I'm hoping they don't back down, that was I get to kick more perverted ass." Andrea thought as she watched the two men, she doubted that the other Turian would be getting up any time soon so there was little chance of her getting cheapshotted, the Turian's friends didn't back down through a combination of stupidity and alcohol and she grinned. "Want to do the honours?" Andrea asked glancing at Hotshot.

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 08:27 AM (GMT)
"Want to do the honours?" Andrea asked glancing at Hotshot.

She scoffed but maintained a smirk "Do I look like your maid? No.. your house, your rules, personally I think they're waste of heatsinks but that's just me."

She then noticed the pair of weapons on display that Ezramon had purchased from her, she knew them straight away because of their unique colour design :: So THAT's what he ended up doing with them.. :: she mused.

"Hey!" she called out to the other turian, after she got her attention she gestured with her head towards the display case.

"You see those weapons there.....? I made those, I know their every joint, line, bolt and chamber, I know how they fire, their accuracy over long distance and how many shots it takes before they need a new heat-sink... and those are just display models."

She gestured the two guns in her hands forwards "Don't fool yourselves boys, I know everything there is to know about guns... do you really want to gamble your lives away in thinking I don't know how to use them?" she threatened, raising her brows expectingly as the twin smg's activated into a fire-ready mode.

judodave - December 7, 2011 08:50 AM (GMT)
As much as Andrea hated to admit it she found herself agreeing with Hotshot's assessment that the three idiots weren't worth wasting bullets on, the Turian and the human seemed to realize just how in over their head they where and quickly holstered their guns, she saw security approach them but told them to stop for the moment.

"Now that we're reached an understanding let me make a couple of things clear to you idiots." Andrea said as she helped Sally up. "You and your friend are banned from Temptress for life, if I ever see you even looking at at the nightclub I'll have security take you out back and beat the living shit out of you." Andrea's eyes narrowed as she said the next part. "You don't even WANT to know what I'll do to you if I catch you giving my sister trouble, am I clear?" The Turian and the human shared a look before leaving with security whilst the unconcious Turian was heathed out of the club by a large Krogan who was carrying him in the most undignified way possible. "You okay sis?" Andrea asked turning to her sister.

"Yeah, I'm fine just a little shook up." Sally said before she resumed her duties, Andrea turned to Hotshot as she holstered her gun.

"Hotshot right? Thanks for the help." Andrea said plainly.

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 09:00 AM (GMT)
Sakoda watched as Andrea helped whom had been identified as her sister up to her feet, immediately she felt a pang of sorror and loneliness that she wasn't able to go 'hang out' with her own sister, Cerberus kinda put a crimp in those plans.

When Andrea looked her way however, Sakoda was quick to dismiss any sign of distress from her face, instead just presenting a casual glance towards the owner.

"Hotshot right? Thanks for the help." Andrea said plainly.

She holstered her guns on either side of her and gave a shrug "Ehh... I don't know what the turn-over rate for this club is.... but just because you can pay to repair bullet holes without dinting your bank account... doesn't mean you shouldn't try to avoid it. Security is a lil slow on the rapid response though... but yeah---"

She then pointed her thumb to herself in stoic fashion, puffing her chest out as well "Hotshot, the one and only, just dropping by for a drink" she said brimming with pride before walking back over to the counter to take her seat.

judodave - December 7, 2011 09:23 AM (GMT)
Andrea smiled a bit at Hotshot's comment about security being slow though she had to resist the temptation to laugh when the Krogan threw the Turian out like he was throwing out a cat.

"Eh, security maybe slow sometimes but they're good at their jobs, besides it's a big nightclub so maybe there was something going on on one of the other floors that I didn't know about." Andrea shrugged. "Nane's Andrea McKenzie, former mercenary turned nightclub owner, the waitress you just helped me save is my younger sister Sally." Andrea introduced herself before motioning to Sally with her head. "Care to join me for a drink? I'd say that they where on the house but you know that already."

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 09:32 AM (GMT)
"Nane's Andrea McKenzie, former mercenary turned nightclub owner, the waitress you just helped me save is my younger sister Sally." Andrea introduced herself before motioning to Sally with her head.

Her initial responsive thought was to say she'd never heard of Andrea, but spurning the owner of an elusterous club such as this didn't seem smart in any sense of the word, it just ebbed being an arsehole for the sack of being one, so she refrained from commenting. "Ehh, glad I could help" she said with a casual shrug.

"Care to join me for a drink? I'd say that they where on the house but you know that already."

Her ears perked up at the suggestion, having drinks with the owner usually gets one privvy to special reserves and all the good stuff, how could she refuse? Of course..... there are seldom premium items to be found at a bar that don't have booze in them.

"Sure, lead the way" she said in a continually casual tone. Once they arrived at their new sitting area, Sakoda plumped herself down on a seat and looked around. "Gotta say, out of all the places in the galaxy I'd want to see my wares on display at... thisssss...... this comes pretty close to the top" she teased with a smirk before taking another sip of her second illium sunrise for the night.

judodave - December 7, 2011 09:54 AM (GMT)
Andrea nodded and led Hotshot to the elevator that would take the two women to Andrea's office, it was a fairly spacious office with a large couch facing the elevator, the two women sat down next to each other and Andrea ordered a drink for the both of them, the Asari nodded but Andrea motioned her to come closer.

"Make sure Sally knows where to find me if anything else happens to her." She whispered, the Asari nodded in understanding and sent a message to Sally's onmi-tool before pouring the drinks, she handed the drinks to Andrea and Hotshot before leaving. "Don't worry, if you want another drink I'll give her a call on my onmi-tool." Andrea said before hearing her complement the nightclub. "Aye, it's a nice place." Andrea agreed as she took a sip. "I take pride in this place you know? I don't usually smash idiot's heads through the furniture unless they've done something to piss me off." Andrea said thinking back to the Turian she had knocked out earlier.

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 10:02 AM (GMT)
"Aye, it's a nice place." Andrea agreed as she took a sip. "I take pride in this place you know? I don't usually smash idiot's heads through the furniture unless they've done something to piss me off." Andrea said.

She nodded her head in understanding "Oh yeah, totally, I'd throw people around like rag-dolls too if I had the touch of the eezo" she commented casually, taking another sip.

"Soooo... you fishing for a discount or did I win a raffle I didn't know about that got me this VIP treatment? Not that I don't mind, it's great and all... just... those that know me that I haven't actually met before only seem to be interested in my guns" she said with a suspecting tone, arching her brow at Andrea and awaiting her response.

judodave - December 7, 2011 10:30 AM (GMT)
Andrea paused for a moment to consider her question, it was true that she was familiar with the kinds of guns that Hotshot made and being a bit of a tech geek at heart Andrea couldn't help but admire them.

"Not to mention something else." Andrea thought as she eyed up the Asian woman, "Truth be told it's rare that I see combat nowadays due to me running the club, that said using my biotic and tech abilities too make drunken idiots piss themselves is always fun." Andrea joked before taking a sip of her drink. "As for why I gave you the VIP treatment as you said well what can I say? You helped me protect my sister so I may as well show a little gratitude." Andrea said before taking a sip of her drink. "Besides it's not every day you get to chat with a celebraty like yourself."

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 10:48 AM (GMT)
Her answers seemed honest... enough, the natural path of things, 'you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours' as it were. She didn't think much of how Andrea was eyeballing her, Sakoda had come in armour she also designed herself after all, and it was one of a kind thus far because no one else had been in need of this brand of armour... then again, few engineers would need such a premium level of protection...... food for thought, look to other fields where armour is concerned.

"Besides it's not every day you get to chat with a celebraty like yourself."

She smiled sincerely upon hearing this :: Finally, a fan :: she mused, crossing one leg over the other as she eased herself more into the chair, it was quite comfortable, not suprising.

"Yeah... it's a shame there's only one of me... <snirk> who am I kidding? I couldn't bare the thought of there being more than one of me, there can only ever be one!" she said with gusto.

She sipped her drink some more then tilted her head in thought "Sooo... if the pair of display guns I gave Ezramon are just out there... on display... and you are the owner of this club, then that either means Ezramon pawned them off to pay for some of his uhh... more excessive spendings, or you work for him too. I'm hoping it's the latter."

The thought of someone pawning off her wares was possibly one of the most gravest of insults, third only to someone trying to sell imitations of her items and second to someone trying to imitate her.

judodave - December 7, 2011 11:05 AM (GMT)
Andrea frowned a bit when she mentioned Ezramon, she rarely mentioned him while working because, well it WAS Ezramon, however she knew that Hotshot was in Ezramon's employ as well so there was no point in hiding it.

"You got me, I'm a fellow Ezramon employee." Andrea admitted before taking a sip. "Started off as a mercenary like I said, caught the attention of DOST and worked a few missions with them before the Confederacy collapsed which was where I met Ezramon face to face for the first time." Andrea explained as she finished her drink. "I eventually ended up running this place though not before the excitement that was the Reaper invasion on Omega which I had the misfortune of being caught up in." Andrea added with a wince. "I actually delayed my first day of work here by a week because my old apartment got blown to hell and back,"

Mr. Dust - December 7, 2011 11:17 AM (GMT)
"You got me, I'm a fellow Ezramon employee." Andrea admitted before taking a sip.

She allowed another snicker :: Got ya! :: she thought, a silent victory simmered in her mind as Andrea continued her story.

"Started off as a mercenary like I said, caught the attention of DOST and worked a few missions with them before the Confederacy collapsed which was where I met Ezramon face to face for the first time."

Sakoda tilted her head to the other side in thought, DOST... Tyche was part of that as well, maybe Ezramon was in a very silent way, herding his personal assassins her way, to upgrade their wares that was.

"I eventually ended up running this place though not before the excitement that was the Reaper invasion on Omega which I had the misfortune of being caught up in." Andrea added with a wince. "I actually delayed my first day of work here by a week because my old apartment got blown to hell and back,"

The small asian girl perked up upon hearing this, a bigger 'spark' of attention took her "Ohh? You were on Omega during the attack too? Heh, that was one crazy day... I had the.. misfortune of fighting a yahg that day... almost lost too. But...." she continued, unholstering her kira pistol, she tilted it side to side in her hand as if to examine it's design.

"... you go into battle without my wares, you are as good as dead" she concluded. Leaving out the part about how after riddling the yahg with bullets it was actually someone else that delivered the killing blow.

judodave - December 7, 2011 09:43 PM (GMT)
Andrea observed the gun that Hotshot unholstered closely shifting her weight a bit so that she could get a better look even though doing so had inedvertantly caused her to move a bit closer to Hotshot.

"Nice gun." Andrea said as she finished her drink and sat the glass down on a nearby table. "I've seen some nice guns in my days as a merc but that's among the nicest." She added before pausing. "Anyway I encountered a few Yahg during the invasion, broke several ribs whilst fighting a group of them." Andrea added. "Not alone mind you, I'm good but I'm not suicidal, I fought them with a ragtag bunch of misfits which included a Quarian who managed to kill a Yahg with a combat drone and pistole, a cyborg and the mercenary Samuel Diablo." Andrea said, it was then that she noticed how close she was to Hotshot. hell if Hotshot didn't shift over they might end up making out on the couch.....

"Can I get you anything else to drink?" The Asari from before asked, Andrea looked up and shifted over a bit.

"Err, yeah." Andrea nodded. "Same as before please."

Mr. Dust - December 8, 2011 01:54 AM (GMT)
"Not alone mind you, I'm good but I'm not suicidal, I fought them with a ragtag bunch of misfits which included a Quarian who managed to kill a Yahg with a combat drone and pistole, a cyborg and the mercenary Samuel Diablo."

She holstered her weapon and shifted about on her seat some more "Oh I had help too... also a cyborg, along with.. errr... some woman" she didn't much feel like revealing she had family members, that paved the way for expoitation.

She then started fiddling with her omni tool "I took a picture, for memories sake, to remind me how close I got to dying that day, for some reason I like showing it to people, here.." she said casually as she sent a digital transfer on over to Andrea's omni tool, a solitary picture file.

"Complete with black eye, stitches, gashes, you name it, I almost died dealing with it" she then rubbed her gloved hand over her cheek, feeling around for scars, aunty Mai certainly knew her medicines.

"Can't even tell I went through a meat grinder, I got off lucky" she concluded. When the asari came by and asked if they wanted anything, Andrea had a similar thought to Sakoda.

"Another one of these too please" she said, gesturing to the near empty glass of Illium Sunrise. It wasn't until now that she realised how close Andrea seemed to be itching to, Sakoda casually crossed her closer leg over and leaned on her opposite elbow away from her.

"Well.. thanks for the drinks and chat, it was good to get out of the office but I think it's time I head back to the drawing board now" she said as she stepped up from her chair and walked over to the elevator.

"Might see you around sometime.." she doubted it, but strange things happen. She mused on the possibility as she hopped into the elevator that'd soon open the way up for her to leave this place.
