Thanks ladies.
Had quite a nice day, trip to the shops with daughter, afternoon with feet up watching The King's Speech and out for a meal with the family in the evening. Just a few wobbly moments but overall managed reasonably well, so quite an achievement really. Not finished with the birthday treats yet, day out in Derbyshire on Sunday, carboot followed by a visit to Chatsworth and then afternoon tea at a hotel in Matlock. Just hope I can manage it all, but will probably "pay for it" for a few days after. It's so difficult trying to live a "normal" life with this horrible illness!! Hope everyone is ok Best wishes Julie xx |

Lucky you....I'd love to visit Chatsworth House .
My Mother in law has asked if I fancy a trip to Bletchley Park and Blenheim Palace so might be doing that later this year. My husband has a friend with his own plane. (I know...how the other half live!!)He's asked us if we fancy going to Guernsey in it for a long weekend. Not sure how I'd be flying in a little 4 seater though. nailbiter Pete went up in it with him on sunday for a "spin" They flew over our house when I was in the garden...and they could see me waving!. so it obviously doesn't go very high. He said he felt quite sick in it...so I wouldn't rate my chances much!! |
