WELCOME
Welcome to Malevolent Harmony, an intermediate- advanced feline RP. We are a semi-realistic site, with a pinch of fantasy mixed into the double worlds in which the wild felines live. Please take the time to read through the rules and the history before beginning...we understand that there is a lot to read, but hopefully it will help you better understand the happenings on our site. Thanks, and welcome to MH!

Territories & Fighting Guidelines

Territories

Lets first distinguish our differences between 'territories' and 'areas' on this board. The 'territories' are the individual IC boards such as Bentley Grassland or Dryden Desert. The 'areas', on the other hand, are the categories in which these boards are grouped in. For example, Bentley Grassland and Yamka Meadow are in the same area. And, for a lack of short-handing everything, those areas will be simply referred to as either forest, desert, meadow or arctic.

Alrighty, now that we have that cleared up...hopefully there will be no questions or confusion. Carrying on, the guidelines to the boundaries and such are very lenient. Your feline character may wonder wherever they want...they are not limited to the biomes in which they normally thrive in. BUT...if you are planning on forming a single specie pride/group/etc and want to claim territory, their territory must be in a realistic terrain. Such as lions...if a lion pride was formed, it would probably need to be within the savanna area. But here is where we give you a bit of grace...if you wish to form a multiple specie pride, then you may claim a territory wherever. But these territories may only be formed when in Seifer; in Vivica, claimed territories may already be laid out and formed.

Now, claiming territories and creating packs and prides. You have 3 choices really...we'll start with a rogue pack. This is an informal group of however many felines that just travel together. They have no set home or territory, they just wonder. Simple enough, right? Alright, now the 2nd and 3rd options, a single species group or a multiple species group. The names explain themselves, I hope. If you are able to gather 5+ characters who wish to be in a group of either type, and your pride would like a territory...then PM me (Lindz) with the title "CLAIMING". Within this PM, you are to list off the 5 characters who will start the pride, along with the name that you have chosen for the pride and where you want your territory to be. Also, the pack has the choice of an 'all equal' pack, where all members (except possibly 1 leader) are equal to each other, OR...a hierarchy system much like a wolf pack...so please let me know which you will choose in the PM. At this point, I will create a new subboard within that territory to be your pridelands/packlands/whatever. Everything clear? Alright then.

Fighting

The most important rule in ANY fight is NO POWERPLAYING! If we catch anyone doing this, they will be banned temporarily. You control YOUR character, you do not get to choose what happens to someone else's character.

Ok, with that out of the way, let's continue. If you wish to start a major fight of any sort, you must post on the "Altercations" board, using the application supplied. An admin will be assigned to your fight and will monitor it, watching for any powerplaying or unfair moves/etc. If the fight goes on too long, the admin will take into account everything that has happened so far, and will choose a winner.

Finally, you may not kill anyone's character without their permission, but you can seriously wound them. In this case, they MUST play out their injuries...no magically recovering or anything of the sort, there are no powers of any type on this board (except flying in Vivica).
