- Era/War/Battle specific
- What If
- Short time scale (some forums do 24 hour GBs)
darren greenwood - March 1, 2011 04:49 PM (GMT)
Ok I have a few ideas.
But some of them sound lame.
Such as trainers
Bombers
Navy (ships, vehicles and of course aircraft)
Bombers (any era any country)
And Anti Aircraft (which could artillery, vehicles and missiles)

I like the idea of a Trainers GB. Such a huge scope there....
And as an ex Bloodhound man, I like the idea of having an excuse to build one....

your a sneaky man arnt you!
john im happt to propose it and the reasons for it!! but i need that ist of aircraft!!!
for those who dont know ive been talking to john about his plans for the WAVE! one of the ideas is to have a display of all the aircraft types that have served at Waddingotn, all in a neat glass case the original idea would be to recreate the airfield in 1/72 but that would be massive!
so it may be a flat display of aircraft
off the top of my head
e3
vulcan
canbera
islander
sentinal
hamden
manchester
lancaster
fairly fawn
belnhims
nimrod
davedubya - March 9, 2011 01:09 AM (GMT)
Also, don't forget the Reds are based at Waddington now....
...that's nine Hawks waiting to be build.
markmarples - March 9, 2011 01:13 AM (GMT)

Like they have in the entrance to Eng Ops?
Blue_2 - March 17, 2011 02:10 PM (GMT)
how about an 'Under new ownership' GB, for captured aircraft being operated by their opposition? Brings in anything from WW1 to today really, and some alternative colour schemes...
madmonk - May 11, 2011 12:13 PM (GMT)
How about a single kit build, decide on a kit, build it OOB and judge everyones modeling skills.

Animals.
I once made a list of aircraft named after animals, I was amazed at how many there were and I'm sure my list was incomplete !!
Also like Sharksmouth, but probably been done to death

keeping to a military theme........
i like the idea of trainers since that covers everything from biplanes to jets
biplanes (ive got a hankering to have a go at something WW1 :P )
away from aircraft but still military id say some armour......not needed to be 1/35 cos ive always found 1/72 or 1/76 scale is always well subscribed to when ever theres a braille scale GB :D (and they are cheap and easy for those who normally do flying thingys :D ) and choose wisely they are good for displaying in a little dio with an aircraft too ;)
