Magus
Name: Sajyou Ayaka
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Family Line: Sajyou
The Sajyou family hail back to the Age of the Gods, where they served the Shinto god of wind, Fujin as mortal servants. Fujin gifted the Sajyous with an affinity for the wind element, granting them their Sorcery Trait; Aquila. With this trait, the magically-inclined members of their family has their potency with wind magics increased as the natural strength of the wind increased. They then served the Imperial Family as samurai warriors, employing their wind magic to enhance their speed, and swordplay. Often found training in the mountain villages amidst storms, these warriors were known locally as kyofu kyushoku-sha. Since the Heian period, all Sajyous are trained to be competent with the short wazakashi sword, due both to it's light weight, and small size, making it easier to conceal in public. When combined with reinforcement, Ayaka can produce a deadly show of swordplay, however, even with a strengthened blade, it pales in comparison to even the weakest of Noble Phantasms.
Servant:Face Claim: Sajyou Ayaka
(Fate/Prototype, Fate/School Life)Appearance:Ayaka is, in almost every regard, a typical Japanese teenager. At almost five feet and three inches tall, she is about average height for a young woman in Japan. Her complexion is comparatively pale than most other girls her age, and she weighs slightly less than most, at about one hundred and three pounds. Her entire frame is slender, though her shorter legs and clothing choices make her seem somewhat squat.
Her jawline is rounded and rather small, with her ears constantly hidden beneath her shoulder-length locks of jet-black hair. Her fringe covers her forehead, framing the rest of her face. Her dark eyes are hidden behind a pair of oval glasses that rest neatly atop her button nose. Lastly, her mouth is noticably small, further hinted at through her thin lips.
Ayaka sports the standard Homurahara Gakuen uniform, consisting of a long-sleeved white tee with red-lined split cuffs, a sleeveless button-up v-neck jacket that is of a cream color. Around the collar of the jacket, Ayaka has a fastened red ribbon, covering most of the exposed shirt collar. Ayaka also wears the long navy-blue skirt most female students in Homurahara Gakuen wear, and long dark-blue leggings, topped off with a pair of slate brown penny loafers.
For casal wear, Ayaka frequents a series of plain white, short-sleeved tees, and a simple zip-up blue hoodie, a brown checkered short skirt, plain blue leggings, and navy slip-on shoes. She also occassionaly wears a more stylish square-framed pair of glasses
Personality:Ayaka, as a young girl was traumatized by an event which lost her and her sister, both their father and mother, during the 4th Grail War. Left orphaned, Ayaka grew to become more insecure, and a self-sheltering young woman, both hesitant, and full of regrets. Her insecurities began at a much younger age, living in the shadow of her sister, a progeny with Magecraft, solidifying her inferiority complex and insecurity. However, her father assured her that she would blossom with age. His death shattered her perceptions, giving way to her grieving sister's constant harassment and bullying.
Ayaka has however, maintained a fondness for birds of almost all kinds. She keeps and maintains a small aviary of birds in her garden, composed mostly of sacrificial pigeons. Ayaka faithfully performs a sacrifice blood ritual every morning as instructed by her father, beheading a pigeon, despite her issues with killing living animals, and will often prick her fingers to use her own blood as a substitute for the ritual much to her sister's chagrin.
At school, Ayaka was a shy, and very quiet girl, very afraid of loss, and thus kept mostly to herself, save for token childhood friends. She often consults her former English teacher, Fujimura Taiga for advice, which the woman of boundless energy is only too happy to provide, giving Ayaka her fleeting moments of joy. She is adept at keeping her personal life, and secret life as a Magus seperate, and is fully aware that Magi have been through the school before, such as the infamous Rin Tohsaka.
At home, Ayaka spends her days alone for the most part. Her large house is run by the family servants, and all expenses are managed by her uncle, a memeber of the Church, relieving the young orphan of a great many burdens. She tries to maintain a homely attitude when she has company, refusing to openly show the hurt she feels inside. Terrified at the prospect of having to fight in a war between Magi, Ayaka resorts to erecting, maintaining, and strengthening her estate's magical defenses.
History:Ayaka Sajyou was born the second daughter of Sajyou Eita, and Sajyou Haruna, both from magical families, with Haruna himself being raised with an awareness of magic, but without the affinity to use it. Ayaka, even at a young age, was often overshadowed by her sister Manaka, a very promising young Magus. As a result, Manaka recieved her mother's Magic Crest, leaving Ayaka to be trained by Eita's brother Kenji, an aging member of the Church.
Though outshone by her sister's raw affinity, Ayaka faithfully practised both her magecraft, and her swordplay, becoming an efficient (if a little average) Magus. The 4th Holy Grail War loomed, and the Sajyous, aware of the war's existance since it's second iteration due to their interaction with the Einzberns, desired to fight in it. They were, however beaten to Cornwall by the Einzberns by days, failing to retrieve the blessed scabbard Avalon. As the war concluded, Haruna, coupled with Manaka's desire not to fight in the war out of both fear and immense pressure, began to neglect the girls, leaving them in both their father and uncle's care more and more often. Haruna, grossly displeased with her daughter, viewed Eita as the problem, and unleashed her spells upon him, accidentally taking his life.
Thirsty for revenge, Kenji secretly began plotting against his sister-in-law, and used Ayaka as his tool with which to exact it. However, his ploy was discovered, and Haruna fled, with Manaka in tow. Now left without parents, Kenji became Ayaka's legal guardian, and, through an associate in Fuyuki, learned that the 5th War was fast approaching. Kenji increased Ayaka's training tenfold, promising her a solution to her troubles in the form of the Holy Grail if she won. Though very hesistant, Ayaka nonetheless followed her uncle's regime faithfully until the weeks leading up to the 5th War. Again, the Sajyous were beaten, this time by the Matous, who secured the catalyst for Assassin. Through the machinations of the 5th War's Caster, and the actions of Shirou Emiya, the Sajyous lost their chance to fight in the war for good.
Left with nothing but the desire to avenge his brother, Kenji continued to train Ayaka daily, in the hopes she would one day surpass her older sister, and defeat her, and her mother. When word spread of Servants being summoned once again, it looked as if the 6th Holy Grail War was starting. However, once it was confirmed that more than seven Servants had been summoned, it was clear that the restraints binding the number of Servants had bee lost, and only the Great Grail remained. Determined to see that the tormented young girl got the life she desired, Kenji, now too old to fight himself, passed his Magic Crest on to Ayaka, and suggested she summon a Servant of her own.
Battle Info~Wakizashi ;;
A simple short weapon of the samurai. It's use has been practised by the Sajyous for generations. Though she lacks the level of sheer training her sister had, Ayaka is a competent enough swordsman to hold her own in a fight, save for the swordplay of practiced Servants, and more learned duelists.
Magical Spells:
~ "Flagrant Alis" Single-Action :: [i]Ayaka concentrates her prana into creating blazing feather-like projectiles. It is a basic fire spell, and it's strength lies in it's simplicity. With a low prana cost to cast, it is Ayaka's favored offensive spell~ "Opprimendi Servio" Three-Line ::
One of Ayaka's more complex spells, she combines her knowledge of Wind and Fire Magic to launch a powerful trailing fireball that explodes into a swirling vortex of fire, trapping an enemy in a column of intense heat. It is more defensive than offensive, allowing Ayaka to escape, rather than incapacitate.~"Icircumflex de Ventus Deus" Five-Line ::
Pehaps the strongest spell in Ayaka's arsenal, but also the most risky due to it's long casting time, and prana consumption. With this spell, Ayaka is able to launch a crescent blade of compressed wind that yields high damage, but is slow moving for a wind-spell.~ "Texentes Ligatis" Five-Line ;;
A very raw form of healing spell, Ayaka can transfer significant heat (causing both pain to herself, and her intended target) by physically touching an wound, and cauterizing it on the surface, but not dealing with the internal problem~ Shared Perception ::
Ayaka is able to use a multitude of birds as familiars to see and hear covertly, by connecting herself and the animal through the use of prana.~ Reinforcement ::
Ayaka is very well-versed in Reinforcement, using it to strengthen and sharpen the blade of her sword. As such, she is able to reinforce most manners of objects.Controller InfoAlias:Nickapous

Roleplay Sample: "Futile... Futile, futile, futile."Ayaka moved skitterishly around her rather spacious garden workshop. The early morning sun shone brightly through the large glass panes of the large greenhouse that encompassed part of the Sajyou's acres of land. Today's morning ritual was not going well to say the least. After receiving a particularly nasty peck to the hand, the unlucky candidate to be chosen for beheading today, was a mischevous young pigeon, whom Ayaka had tagged and named Mifune. The young creature, having defiantly poked his nose into her palm before she could behead it, had fluttered off into the branches of one of the garden's trees.
"Come back here you..." Ayaka moaned as she hobbled over to collect the shoe that she had launched in a vain attempt to persuade the bird to leave it's perch and fly down. Her aim had fallen short for the second time now, and Ayaka was reminded of her rather thin frame, lacking any noticable musculature. Adjusting her glasses, she grunted lightly, picking up her footware, and, with her tongue poking out, aimed carefully at the avian.
"Third time's the charm..." The brown loafer sailed gracefully into the air, spinning several revolutions before reaching it's destination. Striking the bird on the head, the pigeon, in a mixture of both daze and fright, winged off around the greenhouse until it angrily fluttered it's way towards the young Magus who had, for the third time picked up her shoe. Flapping about her head, the bird began pecking away at Ayaka's scalp in retribution for it's literal boot to the head. Shrieking, Ayaka dropped her shoe, and fled to the door, diving through and slamming it shut, giving the glass a hearty rattle.
Gasping for breath after running the length of the workshop, Ayaka waited until the furious marauder winged it's way away before cracking the door open, tiptoing back inside and recovering the shoe once again. Beating a hasty retreat, Ayaka slid down to the floor after closing the workshop door. Removing her glasses, and rubbing her eyes, she let out a sigh. It would have to be her own blood used again it seemed.
"I hate pigeons."
