A shout came from outside and the sounds of a large mass falling down the stairs. Yup...he tripped again...on the twentieth step. He missed it again. He wasn't aiming for it this time. At the bottom, he just laid there for a couple of seconds to collect his surroundings.
"...ouch..." was all he said as he got up and brushed himself off.
Not much damage was done, though he did have a slight limp as he walked off towards the Hospital Wing for a scratched hand and a couple other open scratches from the stairs.

Reta nodded. "Yea, I know." she said. She knew all too well how classes were. Some were fun, but most were boring. "Um, no. Not yet. Have you?" she asked.
Suddenly, there was a thud from outside. Reta ran to tho door, hoping it hadnt been Jake that had fell, but as she looked down the stairs she saw him limping away. She couldnt help but laugh. She turned back to Lia. "Wow." she said simply.

Jake turned around as he heard laughter...close to cackling...and waved to Reta. He smiled.
Leave it to Reta to find something funny in the strangest of times. Jake thought.
He continued slightly limping away. Kyle will get a hex if he decided to attack now.

"Um, no. Not yet. Have you?" Reta asked Lia. Lia began to shake her head no, but as she did so there was a loud thud from outside and she followed as Reta rushed to the doorway. As she peered down the stairs she saw Jake limping away.

"Wow." Reta said. Lia didn't know whether to laugh or call out to ask if he was okay. She decided to giggle and smile - he seemed alright - or...he was still walking at least.

She turned back to Reta. "Well, I'm thinking about grabbing something to eat," Lia said simply. "Care to join?"

"Uh, sure." Reta replied. She had been thinking of getting something to eat after she left the owlery anyways, so she might as well go with Lia. That was she'd at least not be by herself for lunch.

Reta called down her owl to say bye, and then walked over to the entrance of the owlery, heading down to the Great Hall.
